Mike Adamle.
Gold.
Fell flat with the live crowd, but it should be fun.

Same here. It has a Coach-like potential. I look forward to watching Raw at some point.

Balls, can you remind us of what exactly it is you are watching on Monday nights instead of Raw, which constantly makes you late to the dance when we are trying to dicuss this?

I had a feeling when he showed up at the table that it might be him..especially with Cole getting beat up........
Funniest line of the night is during the Mickey James match JR told Adamle.."It''s called a cradle".....

I had an Adamle spread in mind for the next go-round, but I may move that up. You havent been around here much, Cap, so I have been playing to a smaller audience over here in the wrestling section, and have not been as inspired as usual.
Someone made a good point on one of the wrestling sites, that Adamle, at worst, seems to have a good amount of "Jack Tunney" potential in him.

Over the summer, I've been out a lot on Mondays, either at the Stadium, scrimmaging, or a league softball game. I just haven't been home.

I was on vacation with my son so I wasn't on the boards too much............I do agree he would be along the "Jack TUnney" line of GMs.

I love how the websites are thrashing the move saying it's just to justify his salary since he's going to be out as ECW play by play. I love the move, I think mondays is a big jump for Adamle, he has no improv skills so he's going to be really rehearsed to get through shit he has to say. That said, he can play a smarmy, dick, heel to perfection, I don't agree with Balls' logic, this blows Coach out of the water. I do see this being a bit more Tunney(yes I was alive back in those days), but you just want to punch Adamle in the face and soon all the wrestlers will to, and they won't be able to. This is going to be one of the funniest experiments ever.

I think it is going to be a train wreck. But in a funny way.

I'm not saying he won't do better than Coach. I think he has a similar profile in that it will be a funny/kissass style. I'm only an hour into Raw, watching it in spurts as I get time.
I'm up to the part just after the Lawler/Cole v. Rhodes/Dibiase. That was pretty cool. At first I was wondering when the last time it was that Duggan was in a title match of any kind, and then had a laugh when he got replaced. Equally funny was Cole getting in the ring in a suit and throwing a wild punch.
I like how they use Lawler in matches on occasion.
In the first hour of Raw, I've seen all my favorite stuff--Noble, the tag champs, and Santino.

Cole holding on to the tag rope was funny.
