Fuck you all, he deserves his own thread. I went cookoo for coco puffs for Casino Royale, and have high expectations for this one. Hopefully I'm not let down, but I don't think I can be by a Bond film. Daniel Craig might be my favorite Bond, and I like how it picks up 5 minutes after Casino Royale ended. I'll post a review later, I'm seeing it later tonight, a dopey double date cluster fuck no less, but all I care about is Bond.
But I figured start a thread since the video game was released recently, and it's amazing. If you like any of the call of duty games, this blows em all away. First person shooter, 3rd person hand to hand combat, shit's blowing up all around you, the controller shakes like Michael J Fox is holding your hand, it's fucking intense. If you love any of those war games, the duck and cover kill them all games, you will without a doubt love this game. And if you never saw Casino Royale it goes back in time like a flash back and catches you up. And the reviews have been through the roof, some even saying better than Goldeneye for 64. I have to concur, it's addiciting and really fucking fun to watch and play.
Proving once again, and for all time, James Bond fucking rules.

I'm not a big fan. The movies aren't bad or anything, but I can take them or leave them. I usually see them though.

I will break my streak of never seeing a James Bond movie the same day I break my streak of never eating at Burger King....neither are high priorities on my list.

Well then, with all due respect Chris, you're list sucks a cock. Not so much for the Burger King streak as the Bond thing. It's a great way to kill an hour and a half. And with the way they started from scratch, it's really fucking good. The humor is toned down a lot, the action is believable but plentiful, but as an overall movie, Casino Royale is a fucking gem. I'd have a Burger King streak long before a Bond streak. It's crazy.

No he could not. That's total horse shit. Bond is a blunt instrument, he's ruthless, cold hearted. He has no conscience, Bourne does.
The movie was excellent, didn't let me down. Great car chase to open the movie, there's pretty much everything in this. Set's up nicely to continue down the road. Daniel Craig is the best Bond ever.....hands down, period. He's just a total bad ass. If you saw Casino Royale see this, if you didn't don't bother. But a Bond fan will like this movie I think. 3 1/2 out of 4.

The problem is, I barely remember Casino Royale. I remember the chick drowning, the opening scene, and Bond being tortured. I'd probably have to watch it again before seeing this one.

It's actually a little weird, cause QOS starts 8 minutes after Casino Royale, and I won't explain how, but Mr. White, who Bond had captured, gets away and isn't seen from for the rest of the film. The movie then goes into search mode looking for White, but ends up uncovering a little bit about the organization behind the dude with the eye in Casino(I have no f'n clue how to spell his name in the movie). So while re-watching Casino Royale certainly won't hurt, you won't be totally lost. For people who go to see it who have never seen Casino, they'll have no clue what the fuck is going on. This oompa loompa looking girl who's obsessed with one of my friends came, never saw the first one, I don't even think she ever heard of James Bond, just came for my friend, and she looked bored the entire time. So I made fun of her by saying way to waste $10.25 just to sit next to someone for two hours. Why waste that much money just to sit by a person you can't talk to at a movie you don't care about? Better in the theaters cause if she would have waited and asked questions when I get it on DVD I would have cut off her meat flaps.
But anyway, this is a two hour film that doesn't feel like 2 hours other than the fact I finished my popcorn, I almost never do that with shorter films. But just a little taste, in the film there's the car chase before the new Bond song(which is really good), there's a boat chase about half hour 45 mins in, and then there's a plane chase towards the end, as well as another foot chase all over Vienna, Italy. It's a heavy dose of action and it looks fantastic. Many times I was like "Holy Shit". Now I gotta finish the video game.
