I gave my notice...
Yeah, my orignal thought was train, because the job is a 5-10 min walk from the train... but at 5am, who is on the Southern State & the Belt? At that hour, I should be able to do the drive in under 45 minutes & there's onsite parking.

I thought when she said she was feeling very Marlon Brando she was going to say she's a 400 lb beast who's moving to her own deserted island with no internet connection. Fuck.
Forgive the tardiness, I still don't feel well, part of the reason I was hoping she had good news. Blechhhh. Let me know when there's news worth sharing and getting excited about.

I thought some of you would get a kick out of this - I looked like Hell for an old-school pic thread (I thought for sure we had one....but no) so where to put this? I figured this is the thread about how happy everyone always is, and what would make people happier than seeing cool pics of me. Also, always glad to bump this thread back up.

I am holding a plastic fork to the neck of the Editor in Chief for not giving me page 3.
In the top pick, I am beating her up in the snow.
I was hard to deal with and did not take direction well.

That was the worst post ever. Here it is again, to refresh.
How very gay, I know, but there just was not another thread in which to gush about things that REALLY make you happy.
I had such a good night tonight, and it was not even anything super special, just dinner with a friend... but I really love the city at this time of year. On a wintery evening, with all the christmas lights around, I could walk the city all night. I love the smell of all the fresh Christmas trees and all the bustle that makes you feel so alive.
I have a few days I need to take before the end of the year, and I wish I could plan a snowy day to spend in the city... skating in central park, drinks by the fireplace at Rosie O'Gradys, riding the Staten Island ferry with snow swirling around me, cappuccino at Cha Chas...
Well, I ought to hit the sack if I'm going to get to the gym before 2pm tomorrow.
Terrible!

And let us not forget who first saw and hated this thread, any recap of that horseshit should always be followed with me bashing the post and it's dumb fucking writer. The same number of people who care about this thread is the same number of people who would care if Laura jumped in front of a train.
A lifetime ban should have been given out after that post, it boggles my mind anyone would want to bump, relive, and suffer through this shit again.

Me? Riled up? Why cause I want Laura to shove a rose down her throat stem first, so she chokes on the thorns while fingering a dirty kitten's asshole so the kitten makes her look worse then the woman who got attacked by a chimp?
Actually, no, if she ended up looking like chimp lady, missing eyes, nose and fingers, it'd be an improvement for Laura.

Yeah not gonna happen, I don't eat Beached Manatee.
And to clarify......manatees are known as sea cows.

Well, this has obviously become the home of all posts that are groan-inducing. The first post in this thread is the worst post ever posted in the history of the Bleacher message boards, and maybe the worst ever on any board.
So check this out. Newsday has a Gardening section, and they invited readers to submit POEMS ABOUT GARDENING. And from what I can see, there was no discernable prize, I guess people were just hot to do this.
Here was the winner. A woman aptly named Irma.
LITTLE CROP OF HORRORS
Little melons were my choice, my husband longed for squash Our gardens small, but darn it all, we'd grow them both, by gosh We readied the soil, we watered it and pulled out all the weeds Then he sowed here and I sowed there, according to our needs Alas! The pollinating bees cared little for our plan And what sprang up in our two plots? A thing unknown to man It wasnt watermelon and it wasnt squash, dear, either But a monster bearing both their traits, yet with the taste of neither Unfit to eat in any way, it ended up as compost - Which, reluctant as I am to say, is what we grow the most.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Since that one went over so well, here's another entry that did not score the top prize, but warrented recognition in the paper.
Its from someone named "Edie." A lawn with no mole is my goal So that I can enjoy a nice stroll Id be quite satisfied If someone could provide A recipe for mole casserole.
Groan!

Hopefully there's anthrax in the casserole and it gets sent to Laura too.

See, Tom...you're hung up on that CHA-CHA's (??) bit. I personally find the 'walk the city all night' part the most entertaining. Perhaps it's because I can envision a drunken holiday season rampage with an entire pack of Marlboro 100's that accompanied this all-night 'stroll' around Midtown with a 'friend'.
Can someone start a poll on who Laura's friend was that night? a) Jack Daniels b) Jim Beam c) Captain Morgan d) Joe Camel e) Famous Grouse
