How very gay, I know, but there just was not another thread in which to gush about things that REALLY make you happy.
I had such a good night tonight, and it was not even anything super special, just dinner with a friend... but I really love the city at this time of year. On a wintery evening, with all the christmas lights around, I could walk the city all night. I love the smell of all the fresh Christmas trees and all the bustle that makes you feel so alive.
I have a few days I need to take before the end of the year, and I wish I could plan a snowy day to spend in the city... skating in central park, drinks by the fireplace at Rosie O'Gradys, riding the Staten Island ferry with snow swirling around me, cappuccino at Cha Chas...
Well, I ought to hit the sack if I'm going to get to the gym before 2pm tomorrow.

Had a few Christmas cocktails, huh?
Hey, I can relate to the spirit of the season. As grumpy as I am reputed to be, Im a big kid come this time of year. I enjoy the music, the lights, the fine tinge of joy hanging in the air, busting through the despair.
Im doing moving stuff today, and Ill be doing it to a holiday soundtrack. All we have been playing in the car is our Christmas collection. The holiday shows have been a ball.
Im having a good time.

The Staten Island Ferry in the snow is one of the more underrated New York experiences.

I seriously only had one drink & a few blisters from walking... but the walk from Chinatown to 23rd St really put me in a good place. I love the east side.

F'n hell...one drink my ass! A rant like that reeks like a 50 gallon drum filled with liquid holiday cheer and 2 packs of Marlboro 100's.

Laura, please. You expect anyone to believe that? The only reason you would stop at one is if you ran out of money.
You were blasted. Thats fine, I hope you enjoyed your holiday tipples.

I'm serious!!! It was just two girlfriends catching up... we just had tea with dinner, walked up to 20th & 3rd (it's much harder than it used to be to find a nice quiet, mellow bar that's not too crowded & is populated mostly with 30somethings, at 11pm on a Friday night... or we're just getting old...) I had ONE Bombay Sapphire dirty martini that I nursed & decided I did not want to miss the last express train, so I grabbed a cab to Penn.
Honestly, I barely drink anymore because I don't go out that much.

Why is this a thread? So people can talk about Laura? Take it to text or email, fuck.
And is there a worse heading for a thread than this? I hope your next martini has a big, finger nail in it. Christ on a pogo stick, why is this piece of shit 12 post deep already?

What's special about raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens that would make someone happier than usual?
I guess the spirit of this thread is the little things in life that give you joy:
- a new bundle of cigars - a new pair of Vans (shoes) - oddly enough, the smell of WD40 - my dogs after they are freshly bathed

Yes but I keep those things to myself and I don't start senseless threads about me. I'm not about to start sharing how my guitar makes me feel, or the way I react to burn victims, because really, who gives a fuck? And like you, I like my dog when she's groomed and looking nice, but it's not day altering if one day shes clean and the next she's not. So while I like her looking nice, it doesn't make me "happy". And that's cool if small things like that do, but why the need to say hey look at me, here's what I like. For example, you know from our talks on the boards I'm a big Nirvana fan. Where the fuck is my Nirvana thread? Oh yeah, I don't have one becuase no one gives a shit and I'm not going to shove it down your throats. December 8th recently past, did I start a Lennon thread telling everyone how my trip to Strawberry Fields was? No, cause I don't need everyone saying hey look what James did to give me satisfaction. Knowing I have an experience all my own is better than needing to be the center of attention. I'm actually giving Laura what she wants, she has people talking about her and her gay thread. To think 6-7 years ago she would be telling me the same exact thing, but it's fucking cool beans when she does it. People like her make me sick, hypocrites.
But for the record, I would count me taking a shit as something that makes me happy, but those aren't little so I guess that doesn't count. How's that for a happy, cheerful thread, fuck the yule tide logs, just good old fashioned logs of shit.

I'm still in a good mood... even a little retard like homo jimmy can't ruin it. There's SNOW outside! Yay!!! This is not a thread about me, it is a thread about feeling good & sharing good feelings.

It is about you because you share it to make yourself feel better, and to have people take notice of you. You're a fucking dummy. Why else would you feel the need to share trivial nonsense if not for you own self satisfaction? No one else is going to have a better day because they read that you did. There's no possible explanation to justify why anyone else would want to hear about the shit that makes you happy, you feel the need to share because you want the attention. Good feelings are personal, people who share personal feelings for no reason other than to get themselves noticed do it to make themselves happy, no one else. This is selfish, loot at me, all about Laura thread. Retard, maybe, but I'm not fucking blind.
If you started this thread on May 21st, this would be deleted, it would be deemed an intoxicated rambling, from a drunkard. Please, the next time you go out for holiday drinks, go chug a keg full of anti freeze.

Dude, seriously, go smoke a blunt or pop a valium or something. Why is it ok to vent in the angry thread, but posting happy thoughts in a forum full of friends is taboo???
Driving my new jeep in the snow also makes me happy.

You're comparing a single post in a specific thread to a thread on one single topic? No amount of weed or pills will make me not see through your lying ass crap. You want details? Venting in the angry thread provides fun for everyone else, this is a message board with more users than you. Making a thread simply to post things that make you happy is attention seeking.
Again, if this was me or Midget Mike posting this thread, on either board, on July 12th during any of the previous 6 years, you would go on and on how it's all about us. Granted we'd be talking about things that make all people happy, not just those with estrogen, but you get my point. And retard, you just said dude, seriously, blunt, and mentioned the only pill you know you know because you take it. What other material do you plan to use on me? Now go wikipedia or google shit to make a comeback

"mentioned the only pill you know you know because you take it"
Someone shared in my AA meeting last night about going and getting quaaludes.
I knew it was a bogus share - they don't have ludes anymore.

See, people without their head up their ass like Dana and myself know. Let's get a Delorean, build the flux compacitor, get 1.21 jigawats of electricity in that son bitch and go back in time to some date in March, or August, and start this thread. I promise it gets axed the next morning, because it would be deemed one fucking dummy needs the spotlight. This is worse than lame. I don't buy for one second an individual can find happiness with the knowledge some other person finds whiskers amusing. What's next Laura, do you like tails and paws on cats too? Fucking idiot.

James, I'm sure in 1985 plutonium is available in every corner store, but in 2008 it's a little hard to come by.
