Ha ha, for all you guys who ignore ECW you missed Christian. So did I, actually, but I DVR the show. I will watch him at my leisure in the next couple of days. To make a long story short, he interrupted a Jack Swagger promo, and ended up conking Swagger with the microphone. He also challenged him to a match later in the show, and is angling for an ECW Title match.
While on the surface this is seemingly a downgrade from being thrust into the hot angle with Jeff Hardy as a heel, at least he will be heavily featured on ECW. And as many cynics say, Vince and company were never totally enamored with him, so even with a hot debut on one of the big shows, he may have been cooled down fast.

Have to say I am surprised.....On the surface seems like a waste though I am a fan of ECW I think it is more a show for the up and comers with a sprinkle of mid card veterans like Finley. Mark Henry etc.
Christian should be on RAW or Smackdown where his entertainment value and interaction can be maximized. Though it is known Vince isn't keen on him I'd rather see him on the bigger shows mixing it up for the US Title or Intercontinental title....

It actually makes sense on a lot of levels, one of which is some people will now watch ECW just to see him. I am already seeing a lot of posts to that point on the Torch wrestling board. Another thing to consider is Vince was FURIOUS at the way he left last time, and felt backstabbed about it. So it may be a grudge keeping him from the big shows, for now.
Im sure its a stop on the way to somewhere. But for now its a jolt of starpower for that show, which is good with Matt Hardy just leaving, and it creates a BUZZ around ECW. It may end up being a very astute move.
Another debut tonight, TJ Wilson, under a different name - managed by Natalya. They are a real life couple, he was the last trainee in Stu's dungeon, and despite small size word is he looks good and should be a keeper. Look for my man DH Smith to appear soon, most likely on Raw, and perhaps as a member of Legacy.

I actually saw it. I was super stoked when he came out. I also saw TJ Wilson do the whole backstage banter with Teddy Long. Missed the match because I dozed off and then I wwas woken up a little later by my cell phone but got to see Christian and Swagger fight but low and behold my TV shut off on me (at 10:58) because it was on timer so I don't even know who won. Have to check online now. Matt Striker was funny because his broadcast partner (whose name escapes me) was getting ready to go to commerical and he says "We'll be right back with Swagger and Striker" and Matt quickly replies before the commerical, "I'm not wrestling." Got a kick out of it because that's the last thing you hear before the commercial and that Matt caught it too.

That is about as weak a debut as one can get. I'll see him when he gets on a real wrestling show.

Tom I thought I read somewhere the talk is DH may not show up untiil after WM and most likely as the 4th member of Legacy.
I do agree Christian on ECW is a jolt of star power and will get more people to tune in.
