Lots of arrivals - and revivals - out there in TNA.
In the next week or so, watch for VICTORIA, RAVEN, and SHANE friggin' DOUGLAS on TNA television. As much as I spoiled that, I wont spoil roles.
Enjoy!

so, at what point does TNA run the risk of simply being the "WWE Reject" show? And that comes from a TNA fan

We have some more signings / debuts to announce. Lashley said on a radio show yesterday that he has signed with TNA officially, the contract had been on the table. He may debut at this Sundays PPV, where there is also a good chance of seeing Taz, whose "no-compete clause" has ended.

Yeah I listened to Lashley yesterday on ESPN and he mentioned it...I wonder if Taz is going to be the guy who is "advising/instructing" Samoa Joe. just a guess....

Well, thats been the plan all along. That spoiler has been out there.
Thing is, Joe joining with the Main Event Mafia throws a wrench, as Taz will look dumb just hanging around with them.

Jarrett in limbo after TNA row
TNA vice-president and co-founder Jeff Jarrett has had a sensational bust-up with the company. It follows allegations from a caller on US Radio Show 'Bubba the Love Sponge', who disguised his voice and claimed to be a TNA staffer.
The mystery man said Karen Angle, former wife of TNA champion Kurt Angle, had moved into Jarrett's home along with her two children.
Jarrett, who was the brains behind TNA's inception in 2002, is believed to have been sent home by a furious Dixie Carter, who has the controlling interest in the Nashville-based promotion.
Some reports even suggest Jarrett has been suspended from the wrestling outfit.
Jarrett, who is TNA's head of creative, was not at Sunday's Victory Road pay-per-view event and has also been absent from a number of house shows.
SunSport understands his character has been pulled from TV indefinitely, while Vince Russo, Dutch Mantell and Jim Cornette have been placed in temporary charge of creative affairs.
TNA have refused to comment on the 'personnel matters' but have indicated Jarrett is taking time off for 'personal leave'.
Jarrett and Angle have a colourful past, with their on-screen feud blurring the lines between reality and fiction.
Having been a major part of TNA programming, former WWE intercontinental champion Jarrett took time off following the loss of his wife Jill through cancer in late 2007.
Angle blasted the company in an interview with SunSport in October last year, personally slating Jarrett and labelling TNA as confusing and too dependant on gimmick matches.

This genuine criticism would morph into an on-screen rivalry as Jarrett returned to TV to challenge Angle.
Over time, the feud become increasingly heated with Angle making comments about Jarrett's late wife and his children, which many critics found very disturbing.
Meanwhile, Angle was having his own relationship problems.
He and wife Karen, who was being used frequently on TV in a storyline where Angle believed her to be having an affair with AJ Styles, had a very public split with Karen filing for divorce.
She remained with the company for a short time before being let go.
Angle has insinuated in the past that Karen had an affair with a member of the TNA roster — and in turn has admitted he cheated on her while they were separated.
The fact that Angle is TNA champion and remains with the company while Jarrett is out of the picture places him in a terrific position politically.
Some sources even suggest he may make a play for creative control. Then it would be Angle, not Jarrett, who would truly have 'the Stroke' in TNA.

Yeah, this is a very interesting story Ive been following for a few days now. The PPV last weekend fell apart cause all of Jarrett's stuff had to be redone, and the PPV was an absolute mess. Some are calling it the worse PPV since "Heroes of Wrestling." I have a copy, looking forward to checking it out (including a negative 5 star "match" between Jenna and Sharmell)
Apparently Angle is so angry about Jarrett and Karen that he said if he is ever in the same room with Jeff again he'll kick his ass. He also said he will NOT sign if Jarrett stays on board.
Im a Jarrett fan. I always liked his Southern style of booking, but its not working. TNA is in a rut, and thats coming from someone who likes it more than WWE almost weekly.
This will be a fun one to watch go on.

Really good action with the brawl. It, like many of the MEM angles are very similar to nWo (Hi Vince Russo), so it was almost like I'd seen it before, but it was still very good. Worth watching again as I only got through the first hour or so, I'll check it out again when I finish it later this afternoon.

Don West has been replaced, which makes me sort of glum. His heel schtick has been golden. Hes become an internet favorite. Taz seemed lazy during his Smackdown stint, I thought he was way overrated. The Taz era begins on Impact this week.
West still has a job with the company, in the merchandising department. Who knows, maybe we will see him on the shows here and there in some venture. I would love an old-school manager type, but thats not in the cards apparently.

I also was appreciating West and his work lately with the heel schtick with Tenay...I am a big fan of Tazz but wish West would have stayed in that role. Thinking this is more Jarrett fall out......

West is still with the company, and from some accounts even making more money. He may still appear on TV here and there (rumors of special TNA programming in the future) and will be on the website shilling stuff, surely. Tazz was lazy in his latter WWE days, we'll see. Im not so excited about this.

Spike TV sent out a press release confirming three more years of Impact. The new deal comes into effect on October 1 and runs through to 2012, including a new TBD show (likely Epics or The Spin Cycle) for 10 one-hour installments. TNA president Dixie Carter said: "With the tremendous success and record ratings we have achieved over the past three years, we are very happy to continue to have Spike TV as TNA Wrestling's partner. We are excited to continue our relationship with the fantastic team that has supported TNA from the very beginning, and look forward to even greater success with all of our TNA programming on Spike TV."

Funny. I couldnt stand West, until he went heel and he has been very entertaining of late. So Taz will be an announcer and member of the MEM? Ever see the video of West & tenay reading their lines off a script? www.youtube.com/watch?v=NBxbP-AmWYA

I thought Impact was very good last night. The only thing that I didn't get which has been mentioned on several of the websites is the lack of a pay off to the Morgan and Angle thing. Morgan seemed like he was a few steps ahead of Kurt the entire night yet he loses the match? So what got accomplished there? Morgan lost whatever momentum he had from the start of the show. But it wasn't bad cause i still want to see what happens next and what comes of the loss, but it just seemed weird.
We also got the announcement of the Knockout Tag Titles and Joe and Homicide had a really good match.
And i thought Taz was his usual self and very good on color, Jesus what a difference between him and West. There was even a difference with Tenay, Taz made Tenay seem better, props to Taz. I look forward to seeing and hearing more of the broadcast now. Impact could be on the verge of putting out 2 hours of good wrestling tv on a weekly basis, they might be on to something finally.

Oooof. Christopher Daniels was nailed for a DWI this past Friday, and it turns out the night before he was involved in a "drinking contest" with WWE's Gregory Helms. In fact, Helms was posting Twitter updates - and pics- throughout. A few hours later, nailed.
Oops.

Well, last nights TNA wrestling drew a 1.3 rating, which is the highest I can remember, and that was against the World Series, NBA, and college football. Was that cause of Hogan? Cant say for sure, but thats a victory for TNA right there.

There are actually different ratings systems now that do indeed do that, but I dont know to what depth. I can tell you this, TNA dropped the Saturday replay cause they thought some people were watching the show then, and wanted them all to tune to first airing, to boost the number (which averages 1.0-1.2, which Spike has been thrilled with anyway)
There are actually things I read about what are the most "DVRd and watched shows later" on TV, so yeah, that stuff is taken into consideration.

Unconfirmed reports that SID is on his way to TNA. He's been telling people that himself, for what that is worth.

LOL at Foley telling D'Lo "What do you think Hogan is going to get you a little run with the European belt" and "Who walks like that anywyay?" and then they cut away to the ring and Tazz chimes in "I guess Mick isn't down with the Brown!"....

The Monday Night War returns.....for at least one night. Monday night, January 4th, TNA goes LIVE for 3 hours, taking on Raw head to head. Hulk Hogan makes his first appearance before the crowd. TNA is talking this up as taking it right to WWE, who this will piss off. Should be interesting to see how they handle it...there is some speculation they may also go 3 hours, and 8-11 will be a battle!!!!
