NEVERMIND!
WWE did NOT want to lose him. They are very high on him. His main concern was not being able to get back for Wednesday work after doing the Tuesday taping. Poking around, he may actually end up flying on "Air Vince" to keep him happy. Here is the text of my original postage...but again, NEVERMIND!
Final broadcast will be the Oct 6th edition of Smackdown. He recently took a job as an investment analyst for a Wall Street firm, and is leaving wrestling behind.
He had really grown as an announcer in his short time there. He was funny, and I liked his random attacks on the wrestlers. Last week he was really taking shots at everyone, probably already set on leaving, and making sure he got in his last licks.
Wonder who they are going to swing into the booth to take his place. Simon Dean was considered just before JBL got the gig with his injury coming, but he is now booking OVW and may be too encumbered with that task.
