According to the Torch, over frustration over his sputtering push, and a "lack of communication" with the front office.
So this is probably the guy that "gave notice" and not Booker, although he has not been heard from since his name appeared on that list. Apparently "both sides" are open to talking, and maybe mending this fence. He may be back in the employ by the time you read this.
That said, sources say TNA is aware of the situation, and would be interested in having him appear in time for their inevitable 2-hour launch, probably in Oct. Flair apparently is not locked into a contract right now.

I realize he has a lack of direction, but I'm surprised he's not really satisfied. It's not like he will get a championship run again, and people LOVE the guy.

Well, to be honest, when is the last time you even saw him on TV? And what was he doing? He was running into Vince backstage, yelling 'Whooooo!!" - its obvious they have no plans for him, and he's fed up. I think he's a baby, but its his right if he wants to bitch over it.

Thinking about it, it has been awhile since he did anything. I don't remember him doing too much since he teamed with Batista just after his switch to Smackdown.

its kind of sad seeing the nature boy jobbing after one of the greatest careers in wrestling...maybe a turn as a GM,some kind of take-over angle or managing some kind of stable ie:the horseman or DX may be the way to go

Well, truth be told he looks like ass. His ringwork is sloppy, and he looks like someones Dad (or even Granddad) shuffling around at a backyard barbecue. He is overstaying his welcome. I would not mind seeing him lead a faction, but I do not want to see him anywhere near a GM role again.

I think Flair would be a great modern day JJ Dillion type leading a faction.....

With all these guys dropping like flies, either retiring, suspended etc, we may soon see SD Jones vs. Jose Luis (formerly Mac) Rivera as a WWE main event

Actually, it looks like Chris Jericho may very well be back pretty soon.

Hmmmm....who reportred Jericho first? I wonder who.....
And a baby Tom? He's Ric fucking Flair, he can bitch about whatever he wants. Is he the most agile guy, can he move around the ring well, not really. But name alone can get guys over. I can tell he doesn't care about a 17th run, he doesnt mind jobbing to guys, he just wants to help out the younger guys, and he can do that, well. I'd sign him, he's Ric Flair.

What are you talking about, you idiot? People have been saying Jericho coming back for over a year now. Its just this week that negotiations are heating up, cause WWE is prepared to drown him in money. Other part of the story is Jericho's own friends are saying he is sort of selling his soul, as he is not happy with the drug cloud hanging over things.
James, stop playing "can you top this' and "who said this first" crap on the board. Talk wrestling and stop with the baby games. Grow up.

Tom, you said Jericho wasn't coming back, then touting it like you made the earth shattering announcement. And you should know better than anyone they've been going on and on bout Jericho and he's had no interest in what they had to say. This is as serious as talks have been with him in quite some time. He hasn't had an interest in coming back till recently. And when I first said they talked to him and Michaels, you shot down both. Don't get pissed at me cause I reported worthy news, one less thing you can brag about knowing first. And I'm the fucking baby. Fucking crazy talk.

Be that as it may, I was right. The WWE has ALWAYS wanted Jericho back, he was just not returning their calls. Well, his movie and TV career aspirations have flopped. He has done a complete about face, as you mentioned RECENTLY. After initially coming out with harsh things to say about wrestlings drug culture, he is now allowing himself to be courted cause WWE is throwing money at him.
None of this was never said by me. Dont question me, or my sources. While you read the Torch newsletter, I listen to the editors 20-30 minute daily audio reports EVERY DAY. I simply know more than you. Fact is, I doubted Jericho would about face like he has, but he did. And, also, the fact that Michaels still has no interest in coming back is more accurate news that I have reported here.
So drop it already.

Sounds like Tom owes James an apology.

Tom should also admit he has a thing with assuming. I"M A VIP MEMBER. I listen to the same shit as you my friend. I won't sit here and question you on shit 30 years ago in wrestling, but I'm not unaware about the current product, certainly to the extent you make me out to be. And you did in fact say "stop with the names flocking back..."! You were so sure of yourself when I first said it on this board. Now, Jericho isn't the only one doing an about face. You were only right about was them trying to get him to come back for a while now, which isn't a secret, even to MSB. Don't worry about it though, I'm not fickle like Balls and don't want an apology. You can save it for the apology that matters. Nothing is set in stone about Jericho so no need to be bickering over this, but I take offense to being thrown over the coals cause you can't give credit where credit is due, and I pointed it out. You also need to stop painting this image of me that I'm some ham'n'egger on the Torch, I pay for the full service, it's safe to say I make full use of the money being spent sir. So please don't question my intelligence on the current product.

Your right to an apology has nothing to do with being fickle.

So for now Booker T is also a goner. He quit, and its less likely he will return. He's 42, he has made his money, he is grumpy that his own wrestling school was passed as a development option, and he has other interests outside the biz (his school, a hip-hop store) - Sharmell also does not need it, she just completed a law degree and plans on pursuing law.
The main cog in all this was Booker being the guy with the 60 day suspension for a repeat wellness violation, so the earliest he would be back if they work things out would be around Halloween. But it looks like this curtain has closed.

I think they will patch things up with Booker I hope, if not I guess he will take off at least a couple of months from wrestling and then go to TNA.
