I'd rather it be someone a little more believeable....I think Punk would be a better choice imo

And how would Punk be "more believable?"
The whole story around Cody is that his Dad was in the business, Vince would have run into the wife at some sort of parlay or something....its a tailor made story.
Whatever, we'll see what happens. Also, not to spoil, but Punk was all over the ECW tapings last night, and nothing was done/said about him being the son. This show plays the day after the Raw show.

yeah CM Punk as Vince's son wouldn't be believeable at all.

I think Cody looks too much like Dusty......
Anyway not sure if he is close to ready and what his status is but I think the ultimate curve would be that Vince's son is.......HBK
Things are looking up could be referencing God...
Ready made feud with HHH and it puts an end this cartoonish run of Dx.....
Just a thought not sure its probable...

HBK wasn't in the ring the night that Steph said the illegitimate kid was in the ring. Unless with the change of plans we are supposed to forget about that.

Well, they pulled an audible after Kennedy screwed the whole thing up, and played it for laughs. I am convinced when Kennedy is allowed to come back, he will still end up being the son. Someone made a good theory on the Torch board that it will turn out someone switched the DNA samples or something (possibly HHH, looking for a laugh)
Well, there were a few ways they could have went on this, but well, it is what it is. We should have seen this coming in that WWE.COM was treating Cena being "banned from the building" as the big story for tonights Raw, and not the bastard son.

Switching the DNA samples wouldn't work, because the mother would know if she gave birth to a midget or Mr. Kennedy.

Thats correct. Yeah, not in the cards. From all accounts, Kennedy wont be sniffing a major push anytime soon regardless. Just wishful thinking on my part. While Hornswaggle and Vince will be good for a few laughs, lets remember the point of this whole thing was originally to set up a feud they were going to headline Mania with.

I am embarrassed for myself that I didn't figure out it was Hornswoggle when that idiot "lawyer" said the bastard kid 'likes gold." Stupid me.

You missed on Smackdown when Jamie Noble was trying to lure him into a trap in the back by baiting it with Lucky Charms.

You know what was cool? When Kennedy used his hanging mic to batter the Undertaker bloody, and for the next few weeks on Smackdown he would introduce himself with the blood-stained mic.

I had been thinking the same thing. Talk about continuity with characters. Pretty sure WWE just did a "Where are they Now" feature on Mr Mason - either online, or in the cool WWE mag.

Ok, for what it is worth, Wade Keller of the Torch at least thinks its highly likely Kennedy will STILL end up being the son.
Here's the deal - the Mom, who we were lead to believe was going to appear, was nowhere to be found. Where was she? In a few weeks, "the Mom" can simply show up, claim she has no idea who this Hornswaggle goof is, did not hire that goofy lawyer, and her son has not been revealed as of yet.
Enter Mr Kennedy?
This whole Hornswaggle/lawyer ruse can be something that HHH "set up for laughs" to get Vince's goat.

That can work. Hopefully it will be the case, because a HHH/Kennedy feud was looking decent.

The more I think about it, the more I think it will unfold like this. Think of all the setup...7 weeks of constant buildup, to end with a ha-ha joke?
In the meantime, while Kennedy sits and licks his wounds, Hornswaggle and Vince can play things for laughs.

It COULD work, though it would look like the do-over it is. I don't think you need the son angle to have Mr. Kennedy feud with HHH. It's a funny angle, but it's a hard one to finish. The payoff really can't be as good as the setup.
It's really too bad that they aren't going to be in Green Bay any time soon for a taping.
But doing an about face like that wouldn't be the worst thing.

Definitely not the first time DX / HHH pulled a stunt like that..Also the way HHH was the last one left kinda leads me to agree that this is how it will turn out....

I don't think you need the son angle to have Mr. Kennedy feud with HHH.
You really don't get it.
The storyline is much more than this. Its a fight for Vince's estate, that would pit Vince and Kennedy against HHH, Shane, Steph, all that - it could turn out Vince and Kennedy were in cahoots all along, and set it all up to fraud everyone and push his own kids out of his will, all this stuff.
It would be the latest version of McMahon turmoil played out on your TV. It would not be "a way to get Kennedy vs HHH in the ring." And, considering you dont care about what is actually done wrestling-wise, the soap opera aspect is something YOU would be all over, especially if they bought in a nosy neighbor, a bike shop owner who likes little boys, and a girl in cutoff shorts that drives the General Lee.
Wake up!

The stuff that Noble did with Nidia back in the day was also hilarious. I have a tape I got in a bargain bin of a WWF show in Australia, and they had "bonus footage" of those two "surfing" - comedic gold!
As to Jesse and Festus - they are getting over HUGE on the house shows. The fans are popping - the 3 plus months of buildup are getting into their heads (check it out, I finally watched the Smackdown episode taped the night Benoit died a couple of weeks ago, from late June - Jesse and Festus cut a promo on it just as they were doing on the regular Smackdown episode THREE MONTHS LATER....)
They do a gag where Jesse grabs the mic before the match and says "that there is the face of an athlete" and Festus goes bonkers bouncing the foes around the ring while the crowd goes bonkers. They are apparently an entertaining tandem in the ring.

I pray Keller is right. The only thing remotley funny was Vinces face when he had Hornswaggles hat on. This is a steamy pile of microwaved dog shit.

Yeah, once they put the hat on his head I cracked a smile. I'm not too happy about the direction of the angle, but I understand their hands are tied. I think I'm more mad at the potential the angle had, which is now gone at the moment.

Hornswoggle dancing around in a circle, while Vince stood there with that Vince face, was also sorta funny.
And the music playing the whole time is always good for a grin.
