Well, from basically all accounts, it was supposed to be Kennedy. That would have been fun. But Kennedy went and spoiled all that.
Anyway, what you guys thinkin?
Hopefully its not the easy gag, and HHH. Then the WWE will finally have that incest angle Vince has been hot for on and off for years...remember, he suggested an angle where he was the Dad of Stephs baby... My darkhorse? Elijah Burke. You can even tie it in to the "things are looking up" clue, in that he has "4-UP" on his tape, for "4 up-side the head." The other night, on ECW, immediatly after they showed that dumb lawyer make that comment, first thing when they cut back was Burke marching out, with a closeup on that tape
Paul London would be another interesting character. Note the fact that the last 2 times Vince was shown marching to his limo, London was standing there with a goofy grin on his face
I would love a swerve like this, someone who could get a much larger push than expected. But, considering whoever it is will end up feuding with HHH, its probably someone like Khali.

Khali would be lame. He doesn't need the angle for the push--he's already a champ. Plus, he would have to drop the belt to Mysterio and jump to Raw to feud with HHH.
I think because of the nature of the angle, once the son is revealed, he will be mainly on Raw. I think the son should be a good speaker, but they can go in any direction with it.
I said this to Tom by email, but this is one of the better angles in wrestling history because it could be anyone and they can go in any direction with it. It could be a face or a heel, and they can side with or against Mr. McMahon.
And for the record, I thought that Daddy/Daughter video was one of the funniest things on Raw in a VERY long time.
EDIT--
I wonder if the Sandman would be a possibility. As much as I hate him, it could be played for laughs given the nature of his gimmick. Plus, his entrance always comes from the top, which would add to the "things are looking up" clue. I hope not though.

Hmm. Sandman would fit. I could see that idiot lawyer coming out again and saying that phrase, and then the camera swings to the rafters as the music kicks up. I can tell you this - Vince, for whatever reason, LOVES the Sandman. Gets a kick out of the guy. Hmm. This could work, and would not be out of the realm of possibilities.
That said, who wants to see Sandman vs either HHH or Vince.

That's the problem. And I don't know why Vince would like Sandman. That makes no sense. He's so dirty you can smell him through the TV. But it's just a theory, and if it is Sandman, I rule. Of course, I hope I'm wrong.
I guess if it is Sandman--I'm sure it's not etched in stone that he would feud with HHH. It does make sense from a storypoint that he would, but the son could also be a face and side with the other McMahons while feuding with Vince.

Either way, the angle is a mess.

I havn't cared for this angle since it started. It's the one time I usually change channels. It would have been nice if this was gonna be Kennedys big push, but other than that, the angle is beyond stupid and uninteresting.

Stupid? Yes. Uninteresting? No. It has people talking and guessing. That makes it interesting.
But I also think it's very stupid. Too soap opera like.

Its fine for what it is.
And its giving the WWE consistent ratings it had not had. Next week they will need them, with the premeire of Monday Night Football.

Yeah, this si the type of stuff they & USA wanted to get back to to get the ratings up, and see if they can draw Austin/Rock era numbers.

At this point i wish they'd pull a WCW and just drop this angle.I guess with them dropping the McMahon is dead thing they dont want to do 2 times in one year. Kennedy would have been Great, sucks that they have to scramble for a new guy to take this gimmick.I ve always been a sandman fan but i think he's like 40, hows that gonna work aint vince 54?whatever when did they vince was banging hos?11 or something? And yeah Sandman hasn't done much of anything as late and would look like shit VS. HHH. how bout CM Punk crowd is all on his dick now and heel turn could be in order

Vince is 62, according to Wikipedia.
The gimmick is that he has been sexually active since he was 13, so that it could be anyone 48 or under.
CM Punk? Is there a way to connect CM Punk to "things are looking up?"

His status in the world. Newly crowned ECW Champion (he won it before the Raw taping was aired)
The more I am poking around online, the more certain I am its going to be Punk. The dynamic of Vince and his "straight-edge" son is a storyline waiting to happen, and Punk could conceivably handle being shot to the top of the card.

Not watching ECW, I have to take your word on Punk, though given what I know about him, it would make some sense. The only real problem is the audience.
I don't have the numbers, but I would think ECW would get the lowest rating of the three brands based solely on where they air and the time of night it airs. So if it is Punk, they would have to get him more on Raw, and once again vacate the ECW title. I suppose they could let him keep it, but that's what they did with Lashley.
CM Punk MUST be a decent talent though because when I did see him, he sure got a nice pop.
It would be a decent choice.

They can simply have Big Daddy V go over Punk, thats the likely plan anyway.
ECW's rating is the lowest, but it still does fine for itself, and beats TNA every week. Punk has also been a featured player on the PPVs. There are hardly any fans of WWE programming who have no idea on who Punk is, and what he is about.
So the audience is "no real problem."

No doubt about that, but there's a difference between knowing someone, and seeing them regularly, and the fewest number of fans have seen Punk to date.
It would be a very nice career boost for Punk if he can jump to Raw. People will already know him, but now more people will get to see him weekly.
Punk would be someone who wouldn't be considered too lame. Not too many fit in that category.

Yeah but what would he do on Raw? Fight Carlito? He'd be lost in the shuffle.

So WWE has been running one of those goofy fan polls. You can vote as many times as you want, which skews these things beyond belief, and amusingly so.
Anyhoo, HHH is leading. Fantastic. Second place...Steven Richards! Someone is having fun and voting for Richards thousands of times. My pick, Elijah Burke, is not even making a blip. Domino has as many votes, it appears.
LOL @ people voting for the likes of Rory McCallister, Deuce, and Daivari.
Nice to see 5% of the people buying the Paul London theories.
The Miz 2.06 % Jamie Noble 0.30 % Batista 2.45 % Snitsky 2.81 % Shelton Benjamin 0.28 % Chavo Guerrero 0.09 % Kevin Thorn 0.25 % Randy Orton 2.97 % Triple H 21.42 % Balls Mahoney 0.54 % Chuck Palumbo 0.77 % Steven Richards 21.07 % Carlito 0.85 % Umaga 0.68 % Kane 2.90 % Matt Hardy 0.28 % Paul London 5.97 % Val Venis 0.92 % Deuce 0.10 % John Morrison 0.89 % Matt Striker 0.48 % John Cena 3.17 % Domino 0.09 % Elijah Burke 0.40 % The Great Khali 4.57 % CM Punk 1.73 % Daivari 0.15 % Charlie Haas 0.31 % Rey Mysterio 1.40 % Finlay 0.18 % Jeff Hardy 1.12 % Rory McAllister 0.09 % Chris Masters 1.79 % Hornswoggle 4.69 % Kenny Dykstra 1.95 % Big Daddy V 1.31 % Tommy Dreamer 0.23 % MVP 0.97 % Sandman 1.15 % Brian Kendrick 0.30 % Funaki 0.28 % Shannon Moore 1.48 % Jimmy Wang Yang 0.41 % Lance Cade 0.22 % Robbie McAllister 0.10 % The Boogeyman 1.81 % Santino Marella 0.48 % Mark Henry 0.73 % King Booker 0.29 % Trevor Murdoch 0.28 % Total Votes: 366729

You forgot the apostrophe in "Vince's."
Way for Deuce to get .01 % more votes than Domino.
Honestly, if it isn't Kennedy, I don't give a crap who it is. But if it is the fucking Miz I may have to punch someone.
I have to say I am starting to like CM Punk. I was not a huge fan when he first debuted and I still think that thing that he does with his hands when he is warming up before the match starts is extremely gay looking. There's something I like about him though. Not quite sure what it is.

Kennedy+Vince against pretty much Linda, Steph, and Shane would be a pretty cool storyline imo, should be interesting to see who they say his son is, I really don't want it to be Hornswoggle, but then again that could be funny.

So Smackdown taped yesterday, I think from Ireland, for airing later this week. After the news of Vince's son drops.
Going by the taping results (Vince was not there and the son issue was not addressed) you can pretty much scratch a few names off of the list, going by who was there and what they were doing, or who was not there.
So, for me at least, there is less suspense tonight.

I am starting to think its Cody Rhodes.
One interesting note - there were a few dozen names on WWE.COM as the possible son to vote on, and no Rhodes. And it was not cause his "daddy is in the business" - so was Randy Ortons, and Carlito's, and a few others.
Oversight? Or something to help us get knocked for a loop.
This COULD work, but it would end the Vince's son feuding with HHH part of things. Rhodes is not ready for that sort of monster push. This could be a nice little sidelight feud, with Big Dust getting involved again (he's never too far from TV)
We'll see.

Again, there is no reason that is anything but a red herring. You can simply say for whoever the son is, "things are looking up" cause they will find out Dad is nearly a billionaire.
Eh, he does resemble Dusty, but I do not think he is not a ringer for the guy at all. And the thinking could be that everyone THOUGHT he was Dustys kid. And he also does not look much like Dustin. They have different Moms, they can swing around this.
