Chuck's the man. I have been a fan since an angle where he beat up Lex Luger in a gym.
My daughter has also taken a shine to Mr Palumbo, who she duly refers to as "Chuck Columbo." No matter how many times she hears Cole and JBL call him Chuck Palumbo, she keeps talking about Chuck Columbo.
But here's something wack. They are running the inklings of a "domestic abuse" angle. Apparently they were playing up a Michelle "black eye" during Smackdown, with heavy implications that Chuck was behind it. There is also a scene where he punches a wall with her standing close by, scaring her.
Tossing aside the idea of me watching Smackdown with my daughter and having to explain away domestic abuse, I wonder if this is all a swerve.
See, way back when, in Mid Southern wrestling, "Dirty White Boy" Tony Anthony had a chick on his arm. At the time he was feuding heavily with "Dr" Tom Pritchard. Well, one week on TV this girl comes out all marked up. She is crying, and she calls out Dr Tom, her enemy, for help. See, she was beaten up. Everyone was disgusted with White Boy, and felt for her. Even Pritchard was sympathetic.
Ah, but it was all a ruse, and she soon joined White Boy in an attack on Dr Tom, and showed the bruises to be faked.
I already let slip that Palumbo has been doing house shows as a heel. Maybe Michelle is going to join him in that veign against everyones fave, Jamie Noble. That or the WWE is pushing the envelope by introducing a character who beats up women.
