The old "wellness violation." Part of me wondered why he dropped the title last night to Jericho, a straight-up switch to another good-guy. I was actually thinking his nagging injuries had caught up to him.
60 day suspension, so there goes his money-in-the-bank shot, and a lot of folks out there had him pegged as a likely winner. He may very well not be getting that anticipated title belt and feel-good-moment anytime soon after all.

man how many times can this guy F it up.........He was poised to be a top guy and he throws it away again...No wonder they hadn't given him the belt as he cannot be depended on to carry the ball.....I actually though he dropped the title as a preface to winning the MITB and going on the title case but boy was I wrong....

Man it is guys like Hardy that I will still take a 58 year old Flair over any of these guys anyday..He pours his heart and soul into the ring and promos and is second to none even if he can't work nearly how he used to........The promo with HBK again was on the mark (no pun intended)!!

Another thing he needs to worry about as he goes home to lick his wounds...this was his 2nd offense. 3rd offense means you're fired. They are out of patience with him, I am sure, so they wont hesitate. Plus, they are quick to trumpet their aggression in stamping out "the problem" - apparently this was posted on the WWE website pretty promptly.

I guess it also doesn't hurt that they probably have about 50 guys who can flip, jump from high places and are horrible on the mic to take his place.....LOL

Things just get worse and worse for this guy...
Jeff Hardy's house in Cameron, N.C. burned to the ground last night, destroying all he owned, according to an email received from a source in North Carolina, and since reported by the Wrestling Observer. PWTorch has confirmed that Hardy's home phone number goes directly to voice mail rather than ringing first.
The email we received this morning says Hardy and his girlfriend were not home when it happened, but their pet dog did die in the fire and no cause has been determined by fire officials yet.
Hardy lived in a double-wide trailer that he used as a palette for his art inside and out.
from the Torch.

Not bad, Balls.
Back to the serious side for a second - can you imagine losing all your possessions? I mean, a lifetime of stuff, gone. All his clothing, music, books, photo albums, computer, keepsakes, memorabelia from his career....he was also an "artist" who had heaps of paintings and other stuff he did, all that was destroyed as well.
That has to be a horrible thing to go through. I do feel very sorry for the guy.

Heaps of paint and stuff could have had something to do with it, being flameable and all.
That sucks about the dog. I love dogs.

How does one have no insurance? It is not particularly expensive. I don't get it.

That is a possiblity. But doesn't he have "people" who may clue him in. If I were famous, the first thing I'd get was "people."
Then again, I don't have people, but I have insurance.

It may have been a "double-wide" but people who have seen it (it was heavily featured in a Hardy DVD "cribs" segment) called it a veritable mansion. On top of that, it contained a recording studio, and a dirt-racing ramp/track outside.
This is as poignant as it gets. You guys can laugh, but I choose to feel sorry for a guy around 30 years old who lost an entires life worth of goods, and a pet he loved. Matt, blogging on all this.
Seeing Jeff’s Tragedy Through My Eyes
I was having a pretty standard "gotta fly out early and go to work tomorrow" Friday night. I was washing and packing clothes, booking my rental car, and writing bills to put in the mail on my way to the airport in the morning. Around midnight on Saturday, March 15th, I let my beloved pet dog Lucas outside to use the bathroom. As I stepped outside, I smelled smoke. I walked around to my garage area and could see huge flames burning through the woods. The large flames appeared to be very close to Jeff’s place, about a third of a mile away from my house. My first initial thought was that Jeff was burning either trash or a brush-pile. I then questioned my thought, considering how big the size of the flames looked. For a second, I thought it might be the huge ramp on Jeff’s motocross track or his old recording studio. I quickly jumped in my car, and drove down the back road that connects our two properties.
As I pulled around the lake that bordered Jeff’s home, I witnessed a horrific mental image that will always be etched in my mind. I could see over Jeff’s recording studio that and my brother’s home was engulfed in flames. I violently stopped my car, jumped out, and ran towards Jeff’s burning home yelling for my brother at the top of my lungs. My initial fear was that Jeff and Beth were burning to death inside their house. And I was the only person on the scene-I was frantic. I ran onto the front porch, kicked at the flaming front door, yelling for Jeff and Beth. I could only stay there for a second-the temperature of the heat was unbearable, and I couldn’t breath due to the smoke and lack of oxygen. The entire structure was covered in flames. I ran to the other side of Jeff’s place and saw that his car was gone. I internally prayed that Jeff, Beth, and Jack weren’t in there. I didn’t have my cell phone on me because I had left my house in such a panic. I jumped in my car and raced back home to get my phone. About this same time I got into my car, I could hear sirens-signifying that the fire trucks were on their way.
I got home and called Jeff. It went straight to voicemail, my heart dropped. I called Beth and she picked up. I hysterically asked if Jeff was there and he was. Jeff and Beth had been out to eat and he was currently getting the Hardy Boyz tattoo on the back of his neck filled in at Shannon’s shop. I frantically explained what was happening and that he had to get there now. The first thing Jeff said was this-"Matt, can you kick down the door and get Jack? Please get Jack Matt!" It was heartbreaking. I told Jeff that it was too late, everything was gone. The fire had destroyed everything.
I was already back on the way to Jeff’s burning home as I was getting off the phone with him. By the time I returned to the scene, the fire department was there, and they were fighting the fire. There were fire trucks and police and emergency vehicles everywhere-it looked like a scene out of a movie. When Jeff and Beth finally got there, the shock of reality truly set in on them. I have never felt so bad and helpless and powerless for two people before. It took the fire fighters until almost 4 a.m. to put out the flames. With the exception of the clothes on their bodies, everything that Jeff and Beth owned had been destroyed. But the most tragic lost to them was their beloved dog Jack. Jeff and Beth were crushed. If you’ve ever been extremely close to a pet, you know how painful it is to lose them. It’s like the pet becomes your child.
About 5 a.m., Jeff and Beth came to my house-which is now their house for the time being. Neither one of them could even think about sleeping, and they were both still in shock. I made sure that they knew where everything was in my house and how it worked-so they could function independently in my place. I spent some time talking to them, and then finished packing my stuff. I headed to the airport to go to Louisiana about 8 a.m. without any sleep. This was definitely one of the worst days of my life.
Five days later, it’s still surreal. It’s still so hard to believe that this has actually happened. I thank God that Jeff and Beth weren’t inside the house asleep. As of right now, it seems the fire was started by electrical wires that had been unknowingly damaged underneath Jeff’s place. There’s so much misinformation out there, I wanted everyone to hear and understand the truth behind this tragedy.
As I type this, I hear Jeff upstairs coughing due to being sick. I have never seen my brother as stressed out as he is right now. Jeff is sick because his body is so run down from not sleeping and being stressed out. He needs all of our support now more than ever. Jeff has done so many good things for so many people across the world-now is the time I hope everyone remembers that.
The support and help that has been offered courtesy of family, friends, and fans has been amazing. Thank you. Calling, texting, or sending a message to support another human being that has just went through a personal tragedy means alot. It tells so much about a person’s character. In addition, not contacting or showing support also is very telling of a person’s character.
I’ve received several thousands of request from people wishing to help Jeff and Beth during their crisis. Speaking for them, we are very thankful for all of you. If you want to help, here’s what I suggest. If you have a good picture of Jeff and Beth together, frame it and send it to me. If you have any extras of Jeff’s old wrestling memorabilia-pictures, action figures, magazines, etc.-send those to me. If you see some clothing that you think would look good on Jeff or Beth, send that to me. Any item that you can think of that are similar to these things-that’s what will be the hardest for them to replace. They’re looking into building a new house now, but all of you could contribute the things that truly build a house into a "home." Anything they would need to complete a new "home"-that’s what Jeff and Beth need now. If you have something to send, send it to..
Jeff Hardy c/o Matt Hardy P.O. Box 713 Vass, NC 28394
That’s all for now. But I will keep you updated on things. Feel free to pass this info on to friends, websites, and anywhere else you choose. To all of you that have shown so much love and support, I eternally thank you. Be well my friends, and take care of each other..

So....WWE.com is reporting today that Jeff Hardy was FOUND UNCONCIOUS IN HIS HOTEL, a stairwell apparently, and rushed to the hospital. Either this is WWE beating the news-sheets to a real story, or an outlandish work that makes no sense on any level. So this may be the real deal once again.
Only real sign it may be an angle is an addendum to the story, "what will this mean for his Survivor Series match tonight" - like it would matter.
Of course Hardy is slated for the 3-way with Kozlov and HHH later tonight. Stay tuned!

I knew it was work, a stairwell? Why wouldn't he be in his hotel room room, then they said he got hit with a blunt object, no shit it was work. Stupid media outlets picked up on it, WWE had a big laugh last night. I thought they did it to put the strap on him, but even better is Edge being the culprit(It's why Jeff ran out and attacked him, obviosuly)as well as new champ. It was a double swerve and I like it. I don't like playing around with Hardy's past, first off, he's mega over, how many people didn't buy the ppv cause they thought Jeff wouldn't be on? And for those who are a big Hardy fan, it had to be a scary couple of hours not knowing if he was alive or dead, fired or employed, and wrestling or not. I think it was a real shitty tactic, a cheap stunt pulled, But it isn't that big of a deal since you knew it was a work from the start.
Edge is the man. I'm so glad the belt is on him insteadof Hunter, you could already tell his face run is getting stale.

Actually, word is only one media outlet ran with it, that being ABC.
Also, they said "WWE.COM reports that..." so technically, they did not post anything false. Cause WWE.COM DID in fact report that.
Certainly a dumb stunt, and a waste.

Actually no, I first heard it on AOL news, they cited WWE.com as the source but when the page for AOL sports popped up on my screen yesterday, they had the story on there. I thought I read others picked up on it too, but I may be wrong about that one, but I know for sure AOL had it, I read it there first.
And as a storyline, whatever, Edge and Hardy should be good, but to dangle it out there for a while really leaves a bad tatse in my mouth. Not to be a dick, but this board is a perfect example of what's wrong with doing this bait and switch. When Jeff was escorted off the plane a while back, everyone here bashed him for being a druggie and messing up again. I could go on for days how that's a bunch of malarky to judge anyone without full knowledge, despite his past, but fact is, his past issues is the exact reasons most of you thought the worst.
So for them too pull that shit really bugs me, cause there will be dumb people, less informed people than us thinking the worse right away. And personally for me, I found out about Eddie and Benoit here and other media outlets before even going to the website or any of the smart mark sites, and for a little bit I really thought another one was dead. Not just cause of who is was, just cause you don't expect those sites to run with a story if it's a work.
As a business move, even dumber. Alright good, Vince had a big laugh he tricked a bunch of people in the media, the same people who go out of their way to knock the product when something goes bad. I mean I guess I understand, the media pays more attention to a steroid bust or a death before they praise the WWE for their work they do, like the shows for the troops or all the work they do with the kids who are dying or retarded, but this stunt certainly isn't going to make these news sources look at WWE or wrestling in general in a different light.
And lastly, because of how secretive about this they were, forcing people to think it was drugs or something is even more fucked up cause there's nothing stopping anyone from taking a header down a flight of stairs, you don't have to be drunk or high to do that, to me it's totally irresponsible. Then again, after I learned it was a work, the Raw that went off the air after HBK collapsed in the ring is not only one of my favorite Raw moments, but HBK moments cause of how smart he was in fooling people. Even when it was happening, the fact you were guessing real or work made the angle that much better. This you knew it was a work and it was just in bad taste in my eyes.
I find the entire thing disgusting. Bonehead move by WWE.
