Put me down for Eruption.
Well, there are hours worth of Dick Dale guitar work that I'd put above any of those listed (and I'm guessing a lot of those guys on that list would agree with me) but that's getting a tad too obscure for the casual rock-n-roll fan.

As usual, no respect for Ace Frehley.

I'm impressed Cliffs of Dover made the list. That's one of my favorites.

Whenever anyone touts the praises of Dick Dale, I think of Black Metal Mike, the oddest Dick Dale fan ever. He was always talking about Dick Dale, when he wasnt busy at his other task, making women uncomfortable.

I think it's safe to say that Black Metal Mike was one of the oddest guys to have ever sat out in the section on a regular basis. Jw

I hope that characterization of Black Metal Mike doesn't implicate me in any negative way! HAHAHA!
So maybe I'm not the oddest, but definitely in the running for BIGGEST Dick Dale fan. I mean, it's no exaggeration to say that, at least in an implicit way, Dick Dale is the godfather of heavy metal in so much that much guitar work indicative of heavy metal relies on controlled distortion, and Dick Dale was one of, if not the first, guitar player to alter a Marshall amp in order to "customize" feedback.
I've had the honor of meeting and talking with Dick Dale numerous times. He's a very odd follow, and I don't think the word "humble" appears on his radar screen at all. He's a great guitarist - just ask him and he'll tell you how great.
BTW - Mick Mars is rightfully absent from that list.

Most people on the metal site I pulled it from who responded to the message feature agreed with you, Vinny. Everyone has a preference and something is always missing, but they had no real problems with this one.
