This was a pretty funny show in a Jack Black/Tenacious D sorta way.
It's about two New Zealander bandmates living in the USA struggling to push their music. Some pretty funny banter with some satirical songs mixed in. I enjoyed it. Highlights of last nights show were the "Most Beautiful Girl In The Room" and "I'm Not Crying" songs...and the bands' manager filming their music video because on his cel phone because that's what suits his budget.
It also reminded me a little of Austin Stories, which appeared on MTV many years ago - anyone remember that?

The second episode was funnier. This is not a rolling on the floor type show...but it's consistent for a chuckle.

I agree, I started DVR'ing this series. The songs in the middle of the episodes are eh, but the rest of the show is good. Jw

I'm really trying to like this show, but it continues to disappoint me.
Me and Grover are much funnier than these two tools.

My girlfriend hates this show. I don't think it's that good, but the songs crack me up. Well, only because I sing songs like that all day. Well, better songs.

This is yet another show with a niche audience that is showing dismal ratings and will be one and done. Dont get too attached.

It's no Tenacious D that's for fucking sure. Give me old Jables and Cage from HBO, it shits on the conchords.
The show is alright, nothing great though. And I'm the opposite of Grover, the songs aren't funny, I enjoy the skits way better.

This show is in the whole "The Office"(UK) frame with the humor. I was a fan of that so I'm a fan of this show. The manager is the best part of the show. Also, anyone catch the poster for New Zealand in the back? "Don't expect much, you'll fall in love with it." Hysterical. I agree that it's a niche show that probably won't last long but I like it. The more I watch it the more I laugh. It's better than that awful Curb Your Enthusiasm.

Tom, what is your hang up with ratings? For someone who has an ability to articulate themselves and possesses and intellect beyond that of the masses, you certainly seem to let ratings drive your interest in shows. What's up with that? Just because Fear Factor and Flavor Of Love get good ratings doesn't mean it's GOOD TV.

This show had its best episode this past week - with the racist Indian fruit stand owner.

This show is getting better with every episode. The Bowie skits were killer.

A bit bummed that the season has come to an end. I hope this show makes it back next season.
