"You decided to show open anger at A SINGLE SONG, and hostility to the Police. You singled out lyrics and somehow totally failed to understand their meaning. That's not coming from me, your unedited words above prove that"
No asshole, I made a stupid joke, I said they stink and made fun of some lyrics, but there was no anger, it was a stupid joke, that John and Justin didn't even dignify with a response. You're the fucking cross bearer for a crusade that doesn't need fighting. I say the police stink and you give me shit cause I like nirvana? You put too much stock into what I said man. You got way too much time on your hands man. You're all mad cause of a difference of opinion, go jerk off or something.

I tired to remain a little diplomatic, cause I thought I was done with this two days ago, but how much crack do you fucking smoke you water head? There was NO ANGER. It was a joke, there was no anger. Are you that stupid that you're gonna guess my tone of voice based on print on a computer? Get a fucking hobby jerkoff. All you're doing is proving I'm right, I was never angry, I was making a stupid joke while laughing typing it, but how the fuck would you know that, you're reding it on a fucking message board. But keep trying to look cool and keep this stupid argument going, idiot. I'm done with this petty garbage, holy shit balls man. You get the Cactus James Moron Award today, good job ass. You're point is MOOT!

Why do you guys argue with James about music? His favorite band is a 4-chord garage band that happened to be the lucky one to make it big.
The Police are not nearly my favorite band, but arguing about lyrics is ridiculous.
And if James were any sort of musician with any ear for talent, he would realize that no matter how you interpret each bands' messages, and no matter how strongly you feel about one or the other for personal reasons, and no matter what sort of music you like, The Police blow Nirvana away from a musical standpoint.
I mean, it's not even close. Not even a little bit.

I was at that PNC Rush show as well.......Awesome as always..Caught them at Jones Beach and Scranton as well.. Going up to Le Colisse in Quebec City and Bell Center (The New Forum) in Montreal in September. The drum solo is 12 minutes of a three hour show (inlcdes 20 minute intermission)........Actually this tour incorportated more new songs from their latest CD (which is a good listen and has been reviewed positively in many places which is unusal for Rush) than ever before........

Justin, I never made the comparison, I made a joke about the Police lyrics and some douche with too much time on his hands decided to argue me with about some shit I never even claimed. It wasn't anything to be taken seriously like someone did.
I'm not the kind to argue which band is better, I like who I like and defend them, this was a joke that got blown up. I'd waste 4 pages talking about how Nirvana is better only cause I like them more, but I don't compare bands and wouldn't go on some crusade why their music is better than someone else. You like the Police more, I like Nirvana more, this shit happens when talking music, but please don't think I went out of my way to bash the Police and put Nirvana over, I made a joke that was taken seriously by some asshole who made it look worse than it is. I know the police have talant, they wouldn't be so popular if they didn't, just please don't think I made an issue out of this, I was merely defending my personal favorite not buryng some other band. Could I argue why one is better than the other? Sure, but I don't waste time on those arguments cause it's a personal opinion, not fact.
I could easily be a dick and rip the Police and Sting like you ripped Nirvana, and me, and why I think you're wrong, but I made a joke, I wasn't ripping the band like you think I was, you think I ripped them cause of some asshole, I didn't and wouldn't. So please, before you throw me under the bus make sure you know what I was saying dickhead and not what some other dickhead would have you belive I said.

But....you did.
I don't care who you rip. I'm not a diehard Police fan, but I certainly know music. And actually, Sting did a pretty good job of being relevant over the years, between The Police and his solo efforts. So ripping Sting would be even dumber.

Fantasy: ...please don't think I went out of my way to bash the Police Reality: LA LA LA sending out an sos.....blech. Who still uses morse code? Douchebag sting. He has a message in a bottle, does he? How bout the invention of the phone asshole, who still puts letters in a bottle? Fucking fool. Anyone who goes to the ren fair sees Sting, he's the cockstain playing that stupid fucking flute. _______________________________________________________ Fantasy: I wasn't ripping the band like you think I was, you think I ripped them cause of some asshole, I didn't and wouldn't. Reality: Sting is a douche. At least he realized he's not some visionary and said fuck it, stick to the niche he made so guys like Justin and John, people who like them can go see them. Other wise he'd still be playing that shit flute no one fucking cared about. One metaphor, decent, the other just silly, just like Sting. _______________________________________________________ Fantasy: So please, before you throw me under the bus make sure you know what I was saying, dickhead, and not what some other dickhead would have you belive I said. Reality: ALL preceeding words were brought to you by Cactus James and NO ONE ELSE. They were not edited, abridged or summarized in any shape or form. ________________________________________________________ This Douche, Asshole, Dickhead only called James on his actual words. The other Dickhead merely read James' words and commented. He did not comment on what this "dickhead would have you belive I (James) said." Live by your words, die by them.

Was Black Metal Mike there?
Ah, Black Metal Mike - the black postman bleacher creature, who enjoyed death metal, fetish porn, and Dick Dale. Whatever happened to that loon?

I have never seen Rush live, and was never in a "Rush" to do so, but I will say this - the new album is a tour de force. A return to form, as it were. Sounding good. Any of ya'll who have given up on Rush outside of their long reputed sterling live shows may want to hop back on the bandwagon and purchase the new platter.

Snakes and Arrows is definitely better than any of their past five or six CDs (which isn't quite setting the bar high, but still).
