Anyone?
I have been pretty much annoyed that I can not paw through any TV listing or guide without seeing her name all over the place. Her show and specials are on pretty much daily. Kind of like Kathy Griffin, who seemingly owns one channel, that inexplicably has marathons of her standup weekly.
Well, I figured I would bite on this after reading the 1000th review I stumbled upon. It seemed quirky enough. Mind you, I am NOT a fan of women comedians. I am also not a fan of women leads on shows. Call me sexist, call me whatever, thats just fact. Also, while I knew who this woman was, I was not privvy to anything she has done.
Also, everything about her is wrong. She seems whiny and a pain in the ass. But hey, the show is only 30 minutes (I wont 'experiment' and watch a 60 minute show i am not sure on)
Well, too make an already too long story short, I DVRd an episode during the week, and watched last night before bed. I kinda liked it, even though all the characters on this episode were playing gays and lezzos. It was the "Sarah goes lesbian" storyline, with the amusing "TAB" sidestory.
I'll watch this again. At this point I will have to throw Sarah Silverman in the Rachel Ray category - someone I would normally hate, someone I dont find particularly attractive, but someone, when they come on, I find myself having to watch.

YOU LIE!!!! You know you have a total crush on Rachel Ray. Who I don't like but not for that reason. She's just too much. She is one of those girls I just want to grab by the neck, shake and yell "SHUUUUUUUUUUUUT UUUUUUUUUUUUP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" to.
Don't know about Silverman though. Isn't she sleeping with Jimmy Kimmel?

Nah, if I had a crush on Rachel Ray I would be DVRing her show every day. I only DVR it now when she has a good recipe featured.

Anyone?
The kickball scene on this latest "new best friends" episode was total lol, one of my favorite comedic snippets in televised history.

Show can be hit or miss, some jokes totally miss the mark, and at times they have the Family Guy / South Park "hey, look at us, we're controversial!" tinge to em, but the hits are as funny as anything on television. The show is laugh out loud funny to me, great stuff. I think the "best friends" episode is actually being replayed tonight.

This show WAS hit or miss with me.
I was a BIG Sarah Silverman fan after her "Jesus Is Magic" movie.
I really thought her TV show was funny.....but occasionally I found myself just watching the show, not even cracking a smile...some episodes were ridiculously UN-funny.
When the season ended I never imagined it would be back.
So when Tom mentioned it was back on, I set the season pass...just watched the "New Friends" episode...again...completely and utterly UN-funny.

Wow. I cant disagree more. I did mention that the show is hit or miss, but the hits are worth sitting through a lot of misses for. I really enjoy the show, and you know I am quite the discerning fellow.
"Hey, Larry, you Mo'd your Curly!"
Ok, no one knows what I am referring to there.

I just started watching the Sarah Silverman Program this year and I am a big fan. I just saw the 'peeing the bed' episode - very funny. But I can understand where her brand of humor is not for everyone.
"Dry sheets, ice cream, jelly beans, Three of my favorite things... ...In the order of favorite things."

Don't get me wrong...this is not a case of me not getting the humor.
I am a big fan of Sarah Silverman humor....it's just that one some episodes she doesn't do Sarah Siverman humor very well at all.
Some episodes are great.
