So I watched this show last night and there were some nitpicks, but otherwise it wasn't all that bad.
SPOILERS....
For one, the pilot takes place in 1999, which is supposed to be 2 years after T2. It seems that they are ignoring T3, but the show is made by the same guys who made T3. The problem is that T2, even though it was made in 1991, took place in 1995.
Hell, August 28, 1997 was Judgment Day. It was kind of a big date in the movie. So the movie couldn't take place in 1997. So that kind of stuff bothers me.
The hot terminator is from 2027. Arnold's terminator was 2028, so how could she be more advanced? Not to mention, given the whole thing, Arnold's first movie Terminator really should be the first terminator sent back, and all future attempts to kill and protect John should be later than 2029, when the second terminator was sent.
And now they have the ability to time travel to the future too? That's a new one. They really glossed over that whole thing.
But those are the nitpicks. Overall, I liked the show. I think they could have done a better job explaining stuff, but the action was good, and the two chicks are hot.
I'll be watching again tonight, as this show moves to its regular day and time.

Terminator is a great franchise. This was one of the most highly anticipated shows of the year. It earned a second viewing. Far better than Bionic Woman.

I planned on giving the Bionic woman a two or three episode trial run....I didn't last two or three minutes.
ZERO interest in the Sarah Connor Chronicles. I tapped out after Terminator 2.
Rocky and Rambo were great franchises too Balls...but you don't see me watching the latest installments of those either.

Rocky Balboa was a good movie, and worthy of the franchise. Good reviews too. I'm hearing good things about Rambo.
Bionic Woman only lasted an episode and a half for me. This show is better.

Last night once again was a decent episode, but once again violated Terminator lore. The head of the Terminator that was blown away at the end of the last episode somehow travelled into the future. That is impossible because it was not surrounded by living tissue.
But other than that, it was a solid episode, even a little better than the pilot.
When the next episode airs, I'LL BE BACK.

Wait a minute....even though it had been said I don't believe there's any requirement for the terminator to have living tissue to travel through time. In the second terminator movie, the Terminator had NO living tissue - he was liquid metal. So if anything, the inconsistencies about time travel had already been established back in Terminator 2.

I believe the liquid metal could simulate the living tissue, but it is a requirement. That's why Reese couldn't bring any weapons through.

That's true. Even the Ah-nold Terminator could have done that. He's already a tank, why not build a compartment that he can cut open?
The only advanced weapon that we've seen is too big for that though. In the series, we're seeing that Connor sent back more resistance people, some engineers capable of building advanced weapons.

The thing that was always so lame about the Terminator franchise was the fact that...OK, you sent a terminator back to kill Sarah Connor and he was defeated. So send another one, and another one, and another one....keep sending them till you succeed....and then they'll keep sending Reeses over and over...where does it all end?
I think Marty and Doc could have foiled that whole End Of The World scheme anyway.

That's why T2 was a good idea. By preventing Judgement Day, you are also preventing any further attempts on John's life.
But at the same time, with all the talk of no fate, you have a hell of a paradox situation. The Terminators can't succeed.
If they kill John, then in the future, there is no resistance led by John, and they have no reason to go back in time and kill John. Plus, there is no Reese to be sent back to bone Sarah and conceive John.
If John stops Judgement Day, then there is no need to send Reese back to protect and bone Sarah and John doesn't get conceived.
