Well, it seems the "Yankee roll call" blew by like a pesky breeze. Not acknowledged by anyone on camera or in the booth, although you could hear it for Jeter, A-rod and such in the background. Considering its really belted out to get on tv, it was a fail.

Considering its really belted out to get on tv, it was a fail. They showed them chanting "box seats suck" for about 2 seconds, if you were paying close attention. Also got camera time during the rally-killing bell.

my kids picked Vinny out when a-rod was up. He'd better not rob a bank in front of them.....
What's worse, a druggie or a gambler?? Maybe Mays forgot he was suspended from baseball.

Right, cos only whackjobs have a sense of spirituality. Smart people are above that.

Pretty bummed out about three consecutive infield ground balls with bases loaded no outs, bases loaded one out, bases loaded two outs....blowing Mo's chances of getting the win in the final All Star Game in Yankee Stadium.

Oh by the way, good thing the AL got to face that one year fluke Haren, eh?

Just as there are a lot of NL fans who were bummed out about Uggla making two horrendous flubs on consecutive ground-balls to even set up that scenario in the first place.

Yeah but, most of us here want the AL to win...so who gives a shit what NL fans are bummed about.
I do feel bad for Uggla though.

Well, all this aside, this is a mess right now. We're going to have another tie here. Oh, and way for our buddies in the Bronx to still be watching ball at 1:30 AM. To those from here on the Island, have fun getting home at 4.

Well, I am happy the AL won, although the idea of a tie and another slaughter of Bud Selig had me sorta giddy.
PS - I taped the game for posterity. Do I keep it? To say it dragged would be an understatement.

Tom - any predictions on MVP before we get back from commercial? I'm going with Drew.
Oh to those on the Island AND in the Bronx, get your coffee at work early tomorrow...I'll be asleep before Letterman is done with his monologue.

Im with you on Drew.
I would imagine most will be blowing tomorrow off. I am already off, so easy for me to say. At some point something needs to be done regarding this stuff. These games should not be starting at around a quarter to nine eastern.

A 7:05 start time is fair...us West Coasters are used to it. Either that, or get rid of the "This time it counts" crap, and stop the game if they finish the 10th tied.

Damn! I was anticipating the chairman of Chevy calling J.D. Drew by a different name, like the douchebag chairman of some charity did last night when congratulating JASON Morneau.

I think if the NL had won, the MVP hands down would have had to have been that Rockies pitcher Cook.

Yeah, I caught that Jason Morneau thing last night. Horrid.
Cook's the man. It worked out that it was his manager pulling the strings, no other pitcher could have been lugging that work. Thats another problem with these games that sail past 9 innings.
So, again, do I keep this on tape? The fucking thing, even without commercials, ate up half of an 8 hour tape.

You should at least keep the first inning. They had two shots of these bozos in tuxedos.
