I agree that his best move was to stay but he pulled a rabbit out of a hat and recovered nicely. Been reading a lot of articles that Boras didn't want Damon to sign until Matt Holliday did so the open slot in the Yankees OF could be used as leverage. Who knows if it is true or not, but interesting.

The Tigers signed Damon for $8 million and includes a no trade clause. The Tigers are suckers. That seems like overpaying at this point. And if they were willing to spend that much, why didn't they just keep Granderson? Boras does it again. He should give some of his commission to Heyman of SI who kept putting out the rumors that Boras fed him of all the teams supposedly interested. I'm 100% convinced that Jon Heyman is on the Scott Boras payroll. when ever a Boras client comes, he gushes over them, talks about the 20 teams interested, etc....
