FOXNEWS.COM HOME > U.S. Idaho Man Blames Wild Sex for Car Crash
MOSCOW, Idaho — A 22-year-old carnival worker blames two friends having sexual intercourse in the back seat of his car for an accident in which his Chevrolet S-10 Blazer struck a telephone pole.
Joshua D. Frank, who is living in a trailer parked on the Latah County Fairgrounds, pleaded guilty Monday to a misdemeanor charge of failing to notify a police officer of a traffic accident. That's after he left the vehicle at the site of the mishap. He was fined $188.
Frank told Moscow Police Department officers that he was driving the vehicle near downtown early Saturday while a man and woman were having sex in the rear of the vehicle.
According to a probable cause affidavit, Frank told authorities that the actions of the pair in the back caused the Blazer, which "was top heavy anyway," to become "tippy" and lose control.
Frank left the accident scene with a minor head wound and returned to his trailer.
The other two occupants of the vehicle were treated for injuries, according to the affidavit, though further information on their condition wasn't available.

THE WINNERWinner of the STUPIDEST PERSON OF THE WEEK AWARDYes, this week's only nominee and hands down winner of the first ever KingDZ STUPIDEST PERSON OF THE WEEK AWARD goes to Star Simpson an MIT Sophmore......how she got into MIT is beyond me.Police Arrest Woman Allegedly Wearing Fake Bomb at Boston AirportFOXNEWS.COM - BOSTON — An MIT student with a fake bomb strapped to her chest was arrested at gunpoint Friday at Logan International Airport, officials said. Star Simpson, 19, had a computer circuit board, wiring and a putty that later turned out to be Play-Doh in plain view over a black hooded sweat shirt she was wearing, said State Police Maj. Scott Pare, the commanding officer at the airport. Pare said authorities had not determined a motive. Simpson was charged with disturbing the peace and possessing a hoax device, and was to be arraigned in East Boston District Court later in the day. "She's extremely lucky she followed the instructions or deadly force would have been used," Pare told The Associated Press. "And she's lucky to be in a cell as opposed to the morgue." Simpson is a Massachusetts Institute of Technology sophomore from Hawaii, officials said. A spokeswoman for MIT had no immediate comment. She was arrested about 8 a.m. outside Terminal C, home to United Airlines, Jet Blue and other carriers. A Massachusetts Port Authority staffer manning an information booth in the terminal became suspicious when Simpson — wearing the device — approached to ask about an incoming flight, Pare said. Simpson then walked outside, and the information booth attendant notified a nearby trooper. The trooper, joined by others with submachine guns, confronted her at a traffic island in front of the terminal. Pare said Simpson took a subway to the airport, but he was not sure if she had the device on at that time. "She was allegedly picking somebody up," said Pare. The major praised the booth attendant but said the incident is a reminder of the terrorism threat confronting the civil aviation system. Two of the four passenger jets hijacked on Sept. 11, 2001, took off from Logan. "In this day and age, the threat continues to be there," said Pare. "She certainly jeopardized her own safety by bringing this to the airport, as well as the safety of everybody around her."

Well, knowing "students" as we do, it was probably a "statement" of some sort. She was probably calling attention to the starving people in Darfur or something.

UPDATE:
The IDIOT has spoken, and she says it was just a joke.
Police said after her arrest, Simpson answered questions rationally and was upset to be in custody, but did not appear to understand the seriousness of what she had done.
Simpson was arraigned on charges of possession of a hoax device in East Boston District Court on Friday. Assistant District Attorney Wayne Margolis recommended that she be held on $5,000 cash bail, but Judge Paul Mahoney set bail at $750 and ordered her to return to court on Oct. 29. Simpson was represented by attorney Ross Schreiber.
1. according to MIT's Web site, Simpson is a member of the school's swimming and diving team.
On her Web site, Simpson described herself as someone who loves "crazy ideas" and has been "traveling the world and saving the planet from evil villains with my delivered-just-in-time gadgets."
She went on to say she is an inventor, artist, engineer and student who loves to build things.

That's awesome. My dad once made a dumb comment on a plane before I was born. He said something to the stewardess like, "I hope this plane isn't going to Cuba." He got taken off the plane and questioned. Not as bad as this idiot though.
As Nettles said, the airport is not a place to joke around.

S.L.U.T. streetcar causing a stir Popularly named Seattle Lake Union Trolley given unfortunate acronym
SEATTLE - Officially, it’s the South Lake Union Streetcar. But in the neighborhood where the new line runs, it’s called the South Lake Union Trolley — or, the S.L.U.T.
At Kapow! Coffee, a shop in the old Cascade neighborhood, 100 T-shirts bearing the words “Ride the S.L.U.T.” sold out in days, and another 100 are on order.
“We’re welcoming the S.L.U.T. into the neighborhood,” said Jerry Johnson, 29, a part-time barista.
Some claim — incorrectly, according to representatives of Vulcan Inc., the company that is developing the area — that South Lake Union Trolley was the original name and that it was changed when officials belatedly realized the acronym.
The $50.5 million project should be completed with streetcars running in December. Underlying the lighthearted opposition, however, is resentment over changes in the old working-class neighborhood.
“There was a meeting with representatives from the city several years ago,” Johnson recalled.
“They asked us, ‘What we could do for you?’ Most people raised their hands and said, ‘Affordable housing,”’ he said. “Then the people from the city huddled together — ‘whisper, whisper, whisper’ — and they said, ‘How about a trolley?”’
Since then, Cascade has been ignored in Vulcan brochures that lump the neighborhood together with Denny Park and Denny Triangle under the term South Lake Union. With the streetcar, said Don Clifton, a Cascade resident, “We learned how fun it is to change the name of things.”

I don't know what's funnier ... SLUT, or THIS sentence:
“They asked us, ‘What we could do for you?’ Most people raised their hands and said, ‘Affordable housing,”’ he said. “Then the people from the city huddled together — ‘whisper, whisper, whisper’ — and they said, ‘How about a trolley?”’

Man Dies After 'Crowd-Surfing' At SMASHING PUMPKINS Show - Sep. 26, 2007 CBC News reports that a Richmond, British Columbia (Canada) man who died Monday night (September 24) at a SMASHING PUMPKINS rock show in Vancouver was crowd-surfing before he collapsed, the provincial coroner's service said Tuesday.
The coroner found no trauma to the man's head or any other part of his body. The cause of death won't be known for weeks until an autopsy and a toxicology report are complete.
The name of the man, 20, has not been released.
Vancouver police said about 3,800 people were packed into the Pacific National Exhibition forum for the concert. A mosh pit and crowd-surfing — where a concert-goer gets tossed from person to person above the crowd — were part of the show.
"A couple of people dragged a male out of the mosh pit toward security," police spokesman Const. Howard Chow said Tuesday night. "They called first aid right away. They tried to resuscitate him … They were unsuccessful."
Laura Ballance, PNE's media relations officer, said crowd-surfing is allowed at concerts at the site, but discouraged by security.
"This is an extremely unfortunate situation and there will certainly be discussion within the organization," she told CBC News, adding it would be useless to speculate on the cause of death.

This won't play in Peoria... Democratic Candidates Say They're OK With Second-Grade Teacher Reading Gay Prince Fairy Tale A fairy tale about two princes falling in love sparked a backlash — and a lawsuit — against a teacher and a school last year when it was read to a second-grade class in Massachusetts. But the three frontrunners in the Democratic presidential race suggested Wednesday night at their debate in New Hampshire that they’d support reading the controversial book to children as part of a school curriculum. Moderator Tim Russert asked John Edwards, Sen. Barack Obama and Sen. Hillary Clinton whether they’d be comfortable having the story — called “King & King” — read to their children in school. Edwards gave the first and most definitive answer — a resounding and instant “yes, absolutely” — although he added that it “might be a little tough” for second-graders. Obama agreed with Edwards and revealed that his wife has already spoken to his 6- and 9-year-old daughters about same-sex marriage. Clinton said she believes it’s up to parents to decide how to handle such topics, but added that it’s important to teach kids about the “many differences that are in the world.” Same-sex marriage is legal in Massachusetts, and, as Russert pointed out Wednesday, most of the Democratic candidates have said they oppose it. But though they don't back the legislation, they apparently think it's OK to teach elementary-school students about gay marriage. “I want my children to understand everything about the difficulties that gay and lesbian couples are faced with every day, the discrimination that they’re faced with every single day of their lives,” Edwards said. “I suspect my two younger children, Emma Claire, who’s 9, and Jack, who’s 7, will reach the same conclusion that my daughter Cate, who’s 25, has reached — which is, she doesn’t understand why her dad is not in favor of same-sex marriage.” The 2004 vice presidential candidate and former North Carolina senator said he doesn’t want to influence his kids’ opinions about the issue. “I don’t want to make that decision on behalf of my children,” he said. “I want my children to be able to make that decision on behalf of themselves, and I want them to be exposed to all the information, even in — did you say second grade? Second grade might be a little tough, but even in second grade to be exposed to all those possibilities, because I don’t want to impose my view. Nobody made me God.” Obama told Russert that his sentiments are similar to those of Edwards, and, when asked whether he’d sat down to talk about same-sex marriage with his young daughters, he replied that his wife had. “The fact is, my 9-year-old and my 6-year-old I think are already aware that there are same-sex couples,” the Illinois senator told the debate. “One of the things I want to communicate to my children is not to be afraid of people who are different. …. One of the things I think the next president has to do is stop fanning people’s fears. If we spend all our time feeding the American people fear and conflict and division, then they become fearful and conflicted and divided.” Clinton said she respects the viewpoints of Obama and Edwards, but she sidestepped the question of whether she’d be comfortable having a storybook like “King & King” read to her own child at that age. “With respect to your individual children, that is such a matter of parental discretion,” Clinton said. “Obviously, it is better to try to … help your children understand the many differences that are in the world. … And that goes far beyond sexual orientation. So I think that this issue of gays and lesbians and their rights will remain an important one in our country.” Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, who is vying for the Republican nomination for president, weighed in afterward with a statement accusing the Democratic candidates of being “out of touch” with America. “Not one candidate was uncomfortable with young children learning about same-sex marriage in the second grade,” Romney said in the statement. “This is a subject that should be left to parents, not public school teachers. We need to strengthen our families by passing a federal marriage amendment and also insisting on marriage before having children. Change in Washington requires Democrats with the courage to stand up to their ultra liberal base and do what's right for our children." Some Lexington, Mass., parents were livid that a Joseph Estabrook Elementary School teacher read “King & King” to their second-grade children in class. The Dutch tale, which has been translated into English, is about a prince whose mother pressures him to find a princess but who ends up falling in love with and marrying the brother of one of the prospective brides instead. Last year, a judge dismissed a federal lawsuit brought by two sets of parents of students in the class who objected to the introduction of homosexual themes to their 7-year-olds without alerting them first, on the grounds that it was a violation of the state’s sex-education parental notification clause. School officials stood by their decision to teach about different kinds of marriage and said that Massachusetts law requires them to do so.

Hutchinson, KS -- A 44-year-old woman made her first appearance in court Friday on charges of disorderly conduct and criminal trespass stemming from her arrest at the Kansas State Fair.
Donna Myers, of Hutchinson, appeared before Judge Randy McEwen on Friday. According to court documents, Kansas Highway Patrol troopers twice escorted Myers from the fairgrounds Sept. 14, with troopers noting she was "drunk and disorderly."
According to an arrest report from the Highway Patrol, Myers "stated she jumped the fence and just wanted to see Loverboy," a band performing at the fair.

FOXNEWS.COM HOME > U.S. Cops: Prostitute Snorted Cocaine Off Infant's Stomach While Breastfeeding
SCHENECTADY, N.Y. — A woman had her 5-year-old daughter and 2-month-old son with her as she took drugs and performed sex for money, New York police said.
Wendy Cook, 37, of Saratoga was arrested along with four other women during a prostitution sweep early Monday, according to Schenectady Police Lt. Brian Kilcullen.
Cook was arrested when she offered to perform a sex act on an undercover officer for money, Kilcullen said.
While Cook's children were in the car with her, she performed sex acts on at least two men for money, smoked crack cocaine in the car and even snorted cocaine off the infant's stomach while she was breastfeeding, Kilcullen said.
Cook is in Schenectady County Jail without bail on charges of prostitution and child endangerment, pending a court appearance Tuesday. Her children were turned over to family members.

FOXNEWS.COM HOME > U.S. 5th Grade History Lesson Uses N-word as Crossword Puzzle Answer
DUNLAP, Tenn. — A crossword puzzle assigned as a homework lesson for fifth-graders studying a book about the 19th-century South asked them to use a racial slur — the N-word — as an answer.
At least one parent complained and the teacher, who is white, apologized to the parents of her students, said Donald Johnson, principal of Sequatchie County Middle School.
Johnson said the teacher obtained the crossword from a Web site, edHelper.com, a membership Web site that offers reading lessons, puzzles and other materials for teachers to download for use in class.
No phone number or contact name was listed on the Web site. An e-mail seeking comment Tuesday was not immediately returned.
A parent, Clifford Branan, said his son's teacher assigned the homework Friday, as a supplement to "Sounder," a book his class is reading. The book is commonly used in classrooms nationwide to illustrate racial bigotry and sharecropping hardships through the eyes of a young black boy.
Branan said he could not believe the puzzle with words like cabin, smokehouse and lantern also included the N-word along with its clue, "17 across: An insulting way to label a black person."
He said the word crosses the line between history and hate. "It's not something you want to teach," Branan said.
"A mistake was made," Johnson said Tuesday. "This word should have never come up on a worksheet like this. I can't defend it."
Johnson said the teacher, whom he declined to identify, "justifies it as a way to teach about how it was at that time."
Johnson said the puzzle answers were words associated with the book. The principal said he was unsure if any black students were given the assignment.
Dunlap is about 22 miles northwest of Chattanooga.

I heard that same exact joke on an upstate morning zoo radio show, the day the story broke. Not an O&E exclusive. The biggest hoot of this tale is that this hosebag is the daughter of a noted scion, the owner of racehorse Funny Cyde, or however the Hell you spell it.
