I have "lots" from players including Phil Nevin, Sean Burroughs, Brett Myers, and the legendary Ben McDonald. NOT FOR TRADE - all mine! I need to start picking up more lots of players I like (outside of Yankees which I collect in heaps as it is). I am a big Adam Kennedy fan, for example. And Dustin McGowan.

I am just starting an Adam Lind collection because it is relatively cheap considering where we live, and I just wanted and out of the ordinary player that I already had a decent amount of cards of. Just picked up an Auto Bat card on eBay today for $5

Next show is the 29th. If you want his # email me . Tom post the Sean Henn upper deck rookie card 2000 ? it has him in Staten Island with the World Trade centers in the back ground.

Beckett has about 6 pages of Henn cards, and about a dozen pictured, but not that one. The earliest Upper Deck card for him I see there is 2001, but unpictured. I did a Yahoo image search on "Henn rookie card" and it shows him on the mound, in game action, but he's in a Trenton uni.
I would love to see/have that card. I mentioned in another thread somewhere along the line I remember a heap of us at the Staten Island game back then, talking about him. Isreali Joe, of all people, was a big backer of him, and was calling him a future legend in the same way that Devil Fan Billy used to say Marty Cordova was going to be a Hall of Famer.

Any one have one of those Cone in bleacher cards to sell ? I never seen that card . I usually just buy tops . That had to be before 96 as the bleachers still had seats.

It's Sean Henn's 2001 upper deck #84 card that has the Trade centers in the back ground.

Beckett has it for 20- 50 cents though some dealers. I will pick it up next go-round, and thanks for the tip. I will also pick up a couple of those Cone/bleachers cards, if you guys peg down exactly which card it is. And I will hand one off to you, Pops.

Oh, I can't believe I missed this thread as well. Well, I guess i can since I don't on the board other than for fantasy baseball.
I have a Jeter collection with over 700 unique cards and am currently collecting Kevin Kouzmanoff.
On-card autographs that aren't certified diminish the value of the card. Meaning, if you didn't get the card that way, it's not going to be worth as much money if it were in mint condition. However, cards that you open from the pack fresh that are autos are worth a good amount of money depending on the player. Getting a Pujols auto rookie is difficult, some going for $1,000-plus.
I actually had a good mail day today. I got a Kouzmanoff and Jake Peavy dual signed card #'d 15/15. I love it.

Today's mail contained a 2007 Topps Co-Signers Solo Sigs - Robinson Cano Autograph. Picture to follow. I am getting a decent sixed collection of Cano stuff, this is my 3rd AU (auto) card and I have so far one GU (Game Used) Jersey card.

I need to do an order. My normal Beckett order is anywhere from 30-60 handpicked cards for around $10. I may splurge, get more and better cards. I am going to have to get some prospect cards while the iron is only simmering - I slept on Joba cards, for example, even though I was doing cartwheels of joy when the Yankees drafted him. Here's a random card from my collection - I like the studio cards.

And here is the better one I got yesterday in the mail. I forgot I could just link straight from eBay. Not too shabby, but definitely not a cheap single card, however the book value is more than double what I paid. Not that I plan on ever selling it.

I just wanted to say that if anyone is interested in trading cards, let me know. Cards need to be NM or Mint.

Just curious about a Pascual Perez from 1982 Topps. There was an error on the card--published with no position. At one time it was worth like $30, but eventually, people realized it was just Pascual Perez, so it dropped.

REALLY? I would probably guess it's near mint or so. I'd gladly get rid of it for something like that.

Well, that might very well be the book value.... however, I highly doubt there is a market for that specific card, but you can check eBay.

One thing about ebay is that they have these PSA ratings. How do you get that?

Balls, stop playing with cards for just the money. All you worry about is how much this is worth, how much that is worth. Cant you collect something for enjoyment? You probably even have all your Dukes of Hazzard Action Figures appraised at auction.
First time I got bored in this thread is when Balls started talking nickels and dimes.
