She plays bowling pretty well. My brother got her the disney princess game, but it's too hard for her, i have to play it with her. I'm going to work with her more on the sports games. She almost beat me in bowling though. She's pretty good at it.

Magellan Maestro 3100 best gift EVER i love it I bought John the Magellan 3210 for our anniversary and he desparately needed it because he has the shittiest sense of direction. Assuming I would turn around and house his GPS, he bought me at Garmin C550 and had to nerve to ask me to trade.

I went up north this weekend....way up north.... to see an old friend that recently moved up there and he gave me a Magellan Maestro 3210. Sweet gift. This thing is amazing. I never really looked into GPS's before but they really are something else.

Congrats Tom. Looks like you pulled in quite a haul this X-Mas.
Is that shirt referencing the season finale of Sunny In Philly?
I had a great Christmas Eve Day and Christmas morning with my kids.
We gave my son his first bike (BMX style) and my daughter loved the Razor electric scooter.
Pretty sad sending them home (took them back around 10:30) but I'm sure they're exciting X-Mas will continue throughout the day with Mom, so that comforts me.
The wife and I, and family haven't opened our gifts yet, but last night my sister gifted me a Season 1 Welcome Back Kotter DVD and a DVD set of some show called "Stella" which is apparently the guys from The State, which I was a big fan of.

Weezer cds, the nirvana box set with the lights out, underwear, lounging pants, a smashing pumpkins dvd, a Joker bobblehead, a wrestling mag, a new acoustic silvertone guitar with a new tuner and 10 sets of strings. But my real present is in 3 days when two heartbreak kids are in one room. History in the making.
Tom, that NWA book looks fucking great. I'm jealous. I wish I was getting gifts from Dana, fucking A.

Cho, you first - Stella is an awesome show. Dana and I pretty much adore it. The humor is skewed, but I already know your humor is skewed by some of the stuff we talk about. Good grab there, especially if you have a connection with "The State"
And "Welcome Back Kotter" - thats a fantastic adornment for any DVD collection. Yo, speaking of, check me out - Balls will be whooping - I got that Little Rascals complete set in my family Secret Santa, so me and him will be swapping chatter...anyone else?
James, that NWA book - its got such mixed reviews but Im glad for it, thus it was on the wish list - some call it "textbook-ish" and very staid in style, but its very informative and a great history of the wrestling business and fed. I saw from Amazon reviews that there are some young fans that love the book, altough its pretty much ancient history to em...its sorta like a mob story, in the way they did business. Ill let you know what I think, those who like it, really like it, and I think you are astute enough for it - yay you.
4dogg, I remember when I retired my CD Discman, for my first mp3 player....I never thought I would make the leap, but never looked back. You're in a good place.

Good call of Saget cho, I never knew he was that dirty till he did that and started doing OnA, that movie is great.
And Tom, that book is right up my alley, history and wrestling? I'd finish that fucker off in hours. But how isn't Naitch on the cover?
I got another gift last night, the classic 36 episodes of the Honeymooners, maybe my most prized gift this year. What do women fall for more than anything else? A left hook. Norton rules.

James, the book really deals with the pre-70s era. Most of the complaints out there were people were looking for a more modern tale. But this is really about the evolution of the NWA, going through some Government investigations back around the 50s. Its almost a mob-type story, in many ways. I took it with me to work today, and will read a bit at lunch.
I got that Honeymooners set, I think two Christmas' ago. Its almost time to pull it out again, as it has that New Years Eve flavor thanks to the many years of marathons back in the day.

Merry late Christmas to all. Spent last 10 days in Aruba with the family, now back in LA getting ready for a move to Boston in the upcoming year. Moving a 16yr old out of So. Cal to Boston will be very difficult. For me, I welcome the move back east, puts me a little closer to my roots in NYC.
As for X-Mas gifts, my little one (3 1/2 yrs old) got every Hannah Montana thing imagineable, a bike, dolls and much more. The oldest (16) got more cash than he can probably spend on sneakers or phones and a laptop computer. wife and I don't exchange just like to watch the kids. I hope everyone had a Merry & safe X-Mas. P.S. if there is any Yankee fans on this thread that reside in the Boston area, please contact me, would love to get some info on the area.

And some of the other assorted fun....
A portable DVD player that I have at work right now, to watch wresting DVDs at lunch!
A WASHINGTON REDSKINS pocket watch! Fantastic!
A miniature Lou Gehrig thing you can wear hanging on your belt, that says parts of the "Luckiest Man" speech!
Assorted nutcrackers for the tree, and an Islander snowman ornament!
I was treated quite well.
