Hey folks! Just cleaning up a few messes at work, but i will be back around throughout the day. Touched down back in New York just before midnight, got to love those 1 hour delays. And here I am, back in the city slaving to the grind.
Arizona was a good time, even the meetings were not as tedious as a normal day of work. We stayed in a mad-crazy resort, a chip shot from where they play the Phoenix PGA events. Our "team-building event" with the Southwest region, a "Salsa-cookoff" in a top-notch Mexican eatery, was actually a pretty fun time.
More to come in time, but for now, here I am.

Sandy: I want you to kill every gophers on the course. Carl: Correct me if I'm wrong Sandy, if I kill all the golfers, they're gonna lock me up and throw away the key Sandy: Not golfers, you great fool. Gophers, the little brown furry rodents! Carl: We can do that. We don't even have to have a reason. Alright, let's to the same thing but with gophers.

I don't know if Tom even saw that movie--which is one of many crimes Tom has committed against cinema.

Huh? Caddyshack? One of my favorite movies, although I do think it is, gasp, overrated. It certainly has its moments, though, and is an enjoyable romp. I have seen it a couple of dozen times over the years.
Oh, the dumb thing i did on the trip was close my night Tuesday watching PARKING WARS - a show I ignored while home in NY - from midnight to 1 Arizona time. So yes, on my body-clock, I was watching PARKING WARS till 3AM New York time. It was simply a case of flipping it on, watching a couple of seconds, and getting hooked. I feel so dumb.

Alright, I'll take the bait. As someone who's up to 3 am every night as it is, I've never heard of this. What the hell is it. Is it a mad dash to see who can get the best parking space at the supermarket? Or is it handicapped people trying to get the handicap parking spot in their motorized scooters?

Its actually a reality show following around the "cops" and "staff" of the Philadelphia Parking Police. In that show they followed a parking cop dropping tickets and getting into arguments, another guy who boots cars all day and takes the requisite crap, and a grumpy old man who works in the window at the repo office. Same garbage you see in the DMV lines. I was kind of enjoying the arguing, and the stunned faces on the people walking over as they were being ticketed, or even better, booted.

i could imagine how funny the arguing is, but I still say the show would be better if it was old handicapped people going through an obstacle course to get the coveted handicap spot. The shit they come up with for reality shows.....

I actually would put Caddyshack in as one of the funniest movies I have ever seen. Not number one, but definitely up there.

I agree. for a movie made 27 years ago, the laughs still hold up. I never even worked as a caddy and I still found everything funny first time I saw it. But Balls, you got something here. What is the funniest movie of all time? I can't even think. Pink Panther maybe(and not the one with Steve Martin)? I'm fucking stumped. My problem is, some of my favorite funny things are in like Godfather and Raging Bull, some of the serious movies have some of my favorite parts so I couldn't even pick a comedy off the top of my head.

I don't think I can pick the funniest movie of all time. Once you make it into the top ten, it really doesn't matter. Airplane is in my top ten, and might be number one. Not only was it groundbreaking at the time, the comedy was sheer genius and there is a major rewatchability factor.
Rewatchability is vital. There's Something About Mary was awesome the first time I saw it, but most of the humor was shock value. Take away the shock and it's not as funny anymore.
The first Naked Gun movie would be in my top ten, though not near number one. Same people who made Airplane, and the genius still there. It's amazing how you can watch movies like that so many times, and pick up new jokes every time.
One movie that probably will never get any credit, though it deserves it, is South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut. From the double meaning in the title to the brilliant songs, that movie is one of the most intelligent comedies I have ever seen.
Some movies wouldn't make the top ten, but deserve mention. Johnny Dangerously is one. I always say that Johnny Dangerously was two movies in one. 90 minutes. The first 45 minutes were brilliant. The second 45 minutes sucked. It was all about Roman Maroni--one of the funniest characters ever.
I have to mention Blazing Saddles, and I love the two Cannonball Run movies. I doubt anyone would have my back on this one, but I am a HUGE fan of Three Amigos. That movie kicks ass.

I agree with South Park. I fucking watching it whenever it comes on no matter how late into it. Team America is fucking hysterical too, but not on the same level as South Park.
A personal for me that holds up is High Fidelity and Mallrats. And don't give me shit for mallrats, Brodie is fucking great, I could make a case for the first Clerks too, some of Kevin Smith's movies I think gotta rank up there.
And yes, my guilty pleasure that I still laugh my ass off to, and even more now that I'm older is Billy fucking Madison. Sandler's funniest.

Adam Sandler movies are very good as a whole--you don't need to be a teenager to like them. Movies like Billy Madison or Happy Gilmore are damn good. He hasn't made a good one in awhile though.

The Jerk is my all-time favorite movie, with Monty Python and the Holy Grail right up there as well. In the "underrated classic" category, I go with "Im Gonna Git You Sucka."

I agree with the rewatchability factor. There are some movies that I could, literally watch every day: Half Baked, Fletch, Fletch 2, Fast Times At Ridgemont High, Superbad, Loverboy, Pulp Fiction, The Big Lebowski, Raising Arizona.

Out of those 9 movies, I have only seen ONE, Pulp Fiction. And I was drunk at the time, and hardly remember it.

I don't consider Pulp Fiction to be a comedy, though it did have some humor in it--like when John Travolta shot that guy in the face by accident. Not a big fan of Fletch. I think it's overrated. Superbad was super good!

The Jerk is hilarious
"You mean I gonna stay this color!?"
Gotta Add 3 more;
- Spinal Tap - "Ian, you put a greased naked woman on all fours, with a dog collar around her neck and a leash, and a man's arm extended out up to here holding the leash, and pushing a black glove in her face to sniff it - you don't find that offensive? You don't find that sexist? -- "Well you should have seen the cover they wanted to do. It wasn't a glove, believe me" - Life of Brian (even though I've seen all of the Python flicks too many times) -- 'Life's a piece of shit, when you look at it...." and "How shall we fuck off, Oh Lord?" -- Priceless. - Meet the Parents - (I know this one is iffy, but the scene about milking cats is great.) "Oh, yeah, You can milk just about anything with nipples." "I have nipples, Greg, could you milk me?" (There are some funny fucking lines in this one.)

I feel like an ass, Fast Times and Spinal Tap are some of my favorites. I could take up pages, hours, just repeating lines. And as much as I like Half Baked(duh), Chris you really put that as one of the funniest EVER?
This album cover begs the question, could this get any blacker? The answer is...none.....none blacker.
How do I know which one is your wallet? It's the one that says bad mother fucker on it
Pulp Fiction is is def one of the funniest ever, fuck the violence.

On the rewatchability factor, yes, I put Half Baked down. I don't think it's any near as good as Fletch or Fast Times, but it is a movie I can watch over and over....Pootie Tang is another movie I can watch repeatedly.

Ok, that I agree with, as long as it isn't cable. I also forgot to mention the original Dumb and Dumber still makes me laugh.
I also forgot my favorite line for Caddyshack: CANNONBALL! CANNONBALL! It's a Bob Marley joint.
