When it comes to a contest between Bastion Booger and Albert, Booger would be the one I pick every time.

There are even more names being kicked around as probable TNA entries....Albert (as I mentioned), Nidia, and Ariel (the Vamp from ECW)
Alberts the man. Huge fan here. And Nidia is fine by me. I could care neither one way or another for Ariel.

I wouldn't mind seeing Albert in TNA either.

TNA officials are in talks and negotiations with Amy Dumas, better known as Lita, to appear on Spike TV in the fall. Officials within the company would also love to sign Trish Stratus although they believe internally that they have a better chance fulfilling a deal with Dumas.
Most likely at the very least, TNA is aiming for a short term deal with her. Although Lita has not really expressed interest in returning to the ring, she recently said on a radio show that she could see herself doing it for a "brief stint".

I'd rather have Ariel & Nidia than Lita.
I'm also interested to see Matt Morgan in action, and see how they present him.

Interesting how just after that champions v. champions match, the WWE did a similar event on Raw. Not identical, but the first thought I had was the TNA match.

Thats cause you are becoming a TNA mark.
The matches had totally different rules, consequences, and levels of talent in them. If there WAS any thought on WWE's side to mimic, it would have been to say, "look at how we present it, and how minor league yours is."
As to Matt Morgan - Jim Cornette is famous for predicting SUPERSTARDOM for only a handful of guys he handled in developmental....they were Flex Kavana (The Rock), Leviathan (Batista), Prototype (John Cena) ..... and MATT MORGAN.
It may be Morgans time to shine. Apparently he is GOLD on the mic.

No shit they had different rules. But they were similar in concept and right on top of the other.
Jim Cornette rules. A shame the WWE let him get away.

So, armed with a Best Buy gift certificate, i just ambled across the street and made a purchase.....added to my burgeoning collection.... Not usually a fan of "garbage-style" wrestling, but Abyss somehow won me over this past year.

Santino MORELLA? How long has he been in development?
I thought Cornette was gone a long time.

So, TNA thinks the time is right for a "wrestler who is abusive to his wife and kid" storyline, huh? Are they just desperate for attention and publicity, even if it's that shameful?

Well it's not like people are in OVW for half a year. This happened back in 05 I think. How long do you think people stay in the minors for? A month?
If I'm not mistaken, the Boogeyman debuted, Santino was supposed to be around the ring looking scared, but broke kayfabe and laughed, thus, ruining the moment. Cornette gave him a slapping for that. I don't think Cornette was canned for it, but I know they took booking privileges away from him. He probably left after that.

Not at all, but I just thought Cornette was gone from the WWE much longer than that. I would think OVW could last a couple years, assuming there is no equivalent to A and AA.

Cornette was still employed by the WWE as a booker for OVW as recently as 2005 - Grover is spot on. Cornette has not been on WWE TV in a decade....dont confuse the two, Balls.

A bit too much with the Angle wife gag. I think it was funny them carrying his bags, but it dominated the show, and took away from it overall.
I'm glad Test is aboard, and I'm glad he's going to be using his real name. I like the way old WCW used to have the two name wrestlers, and TNA kind of reminds me of that quality I miss.
Once Matt Morgan comes aboard they will have a really decent line up. I still don't understand why WWE would not want guys like that on ECW when the talent is so thin there to begin with.

I knew he was employed for a while, but I just didn't realize it was so recent.
Cornette rules. I'm glad he's doing well on TNA.

From wrestlingobserver.com...
TNA announced Pacman Jones' signing late last night and announced his debut on Impact on Thursday. The story was in, among other places, USA Today and the front page of Yahoo. Jones will be in a taped inset on the show where he'll announce being at the Hard Justice PPV on Sunday. He will announce more during an interview on the PPV. They announced he will be wrestling, even though the Titans have claimed it would violate his contract, and Jeff Jarrett is training him in a ring TNA has set up in Jones' backyard . We had heard all along TNA expects him to wrestle at least twice, if not more. NFL commissioner Roger Goodell was asked about Jones wrestling and said it's up to Jones to decide what he wants to do. It's said the Titans don't want him actually wrestling saying it's a contract violation.

The last post made me literally think of having Pacman as a wrestler. That led me to think of 4 ghosts chasing him around the ring. The stupidity of that thought for whatever reason made me think of the ECW legend--The Zombie.
The Zombie was the funniest 5 minute gimmick ever.

Word making the rounds is there is serious interest - from both parties - on getting Brock Lesnar into TNA. He is already chatting with TNA big Dixie Carter. It would be a full-time stint, working around his MMA aspirations, which would get the nod from TNA. Lesnar is interested as its a 6-figure payday, without working all too many dates (with TNAs lighter load)
I like it, as Lesnar is the real deal. Obviously his good buddy Kurt Angle is really pushing for this.

Good. That would be fantastic, and give them an awesome heavyweight contender roster.
It would sure help get back people who were mad at the last PPV, which sounded horrible based on the reviews I read.

I can't stand Lesnar. But I admit it would be a massive coup for TNA to sign him.

Not at all. Lesnar is lightyears better than Umaga. But he's a better version of Goldberg, and I hated Goldberg more than Lesnar.
My only positive Lesnar memory was the MSG WM, when he wrestled Goldberg, and the crowd booed both of them the entire match.
It was unreal.
I know he has talent, but I don't feel he's as commited as other wrestlers who busted their asses for their spots.
I feel he turned his back on something so many people would kill to have.
And more important, I wanted to see how he would do in MMA.

Oh, ok. I'm you came on here and said he couldn't wrestle I would have lost my mind.
I don't really blame him one bit. He always wanted to play football, more than he wanted to wrestle, and he gave it a shot knowing full well he always had wrestling to fall back on. Rather than stick around and piss and moan that he wasn't happy, he left.

The guy was an All American amateur--not some fat guy. Big difference. His athletic ability is top of the line. But I didn't like a lot of things about him, including the invincible status they gave him.
