I am glad you bought this back up today - I forgot to report a midget sighting I had just last evening. Heading down Broadway towards the D train at Broadway/Lafayette, i ran by a midget. He was mustachioed, and wearing a ridiculous looking up-and-down striped button shirt. You would have thought he would not want to call so much attention to himself, that shirt just screamed, "Look at me!" And then you needed to look down to do it.

Ah, always fun to bring this back to the forefront. I hazard to guess a few midget sightings between July and now have gone unreported...for shame! As the original pioneer of this thread way back when, I am happy to enter this newest sighting.
Yesterday Dana and I dropped Emma off at a firehouse Christmas party, and planned on a hearty lunch. As we were in the Deer Park area and did not want to travel to far in the icy rain, we decided on either Bennigan's or Applebees. Fearing mass crowds at Bennigans due to Sunday football and not liking people all too much as I am, we chose Applebees.
What a call! Place was a crypt. No one there. But I digrees.
OUR WAITRESS WAS A MIDGET. First time in my life I was ever served at table by a midget. Woman, with regular midget features starting with shortened height, and culminating in oompa loompa little arms. She was pretty in the face, and very congenial and friendly. We tipped her generously. Her attire was regular Applebees clothing, which must have been specially made.

I was driving to my office yesterday, and saw a midgit in full snow gear. I had to circle the block to confirm my sighting. I was correct.

I thought only Tom or Balls would be fanatical enough to circle the block just to confirm a midget sighting. Nice work!

I loved this thread on the old board, and it sort of got me noticing midgits. I had not posted on that board in almost 4 years (I just recently set up a new screen name the same as here), but found myself in the awe of "Little People".

I know that its against the rules of AA, anonymity and all that but I have to mention that there's a wee female person that attends a meeting that I go to. I'm dying to hear her story. A midget lush. Kinda reminds me of Mini me when he was on the surreal life.

I don't think you're breaching any AA protocol by saying there's a midget in your meeting.
Coincidence - I'm listening to a recording of my Grandsponsor right now.

There is an eye disorder called Charles Bonnet Syndrome where people "see" midgets. This is actually an opthalmic condition that creates visual hallucinations, rather than a psychotic disorder, despite the fact that patients with this condition are usually sent for a psych consult as the first treatment...

At work today, chatting with my cousin Al on my phone and strolling right outside the office adjacent to the parking lot, and I spotted a midget.
Sadly, too far away to give any details of note, although they were bundled in a dark coat. I know it was a midget and not a child, as not only would a child walking around an office complex make little sense, but they were coming from a car that had clearly been recently parked, so they drove here.
So there you go, midget sighting.

It's just not the same without the typical Sheriff Tom flair for details.

Saw a midget yesterday at a business that I had an appointment at. She was the secretary. She almost was as tall as her chair.

Just had a sighting phoned in from the Iron Maiden concert at the Meadowlands. A "squat" male midget (aren't all midgets squat?) in an Iron Maiden tour shirt.

Well, this surely takes midgetry to a new level. Any of you get a gander at this "worlds smallest girl?" I dont like her. FOXNEWS.COM HOME > HEALTH > INCREDIBLE HEALTH Tiny Teenager Stands Tall Despite Her Height of 23 InchesStanding at 23 inches tall — and weighing in at just 11 pounds — Jyoti Amge is no ordinary teenager. In fact, the 14-year-old is the world's smallest girl, according to the Indian Book of Records.
Amge has a form of dwarfism called achondroplasia, which affects an estimated one out of every 25,000 births and occurs in all races.
But, her tiny size hasn't hampered her spirit one bit.
The teenager told Britain's Sunday Mirror that she enjoys the celebrity status her height has brought her.
"I am proud of being small. I love the attention I get," she told the paper.
"I'm just the same as other people. I eat like you, dream like you. I don't feel any different."
According to the Mayo Clinic, about 70 percent of all people with dwarfism have achondroplasia, which causes disproportionately short stature.
This disorder usually results in:
— An adult height of approximately 4 feet
— An average-size trunk
— Short arms and legs, with particularly short upper arms and legs
— Short fingers, often with a wide separation between the middle and ring fingers
— Limited mobility at the elbows
— A disproportionately large head, with a prominent forehead and flattened bridge of the nose
Despite all this, Amge is just like any other teenager.
She loves listening to music, watching DVDs and attends the local high school in her town of Nagpur, India, where she sits side-by-side with classmates of her own age.
"When Jyoti was born, she seemed quite normal," her mother, Ranjana, 45, told the Sunday Mirror.
"We came to know about her disorder when she was five. We consulted a specialist and he said she will be this size all of her life. Jyoti is small, yet cute, and we love her very much."
As for the future — it’s wide open.
For the most part, people with this form of dwarfism have normal intelligence and lifespan – and this very ambitious teenager intends to take full advantage of all her talents.
"I would like to work in a big city like Mumbai, act in films and travel to London and America," she said.
She has even recently recorded an album with her favorite Indian pop star, Mike Singh, according to the report.

Holy crap, I nearly forgot about this one. THE zaniest midget sighting I have partook on, on the subway back to Penn on Monday evening.
Starts as we are pulling into the 23rd Street stop. I am standing towards the door, minding my business as always. A blind guy, of all people, comes ambling about, smacks me with the stick, looking for the door. Someone points him towards the door as our guess is he is looking to leave. The train rumbles into 23rd, and the door opens.
But NO, he is NOT leaving! He is apparently meeting a friend...who gets on further down the platform. A female midget, with a big-ass grin on her face, coming to meet her old blind friend apparently. He obviously does not see her, he is waving his stick in the open doorway (good thing no one else was getting on, I suppose) and she is coming from his left.
She comes over, grabs him, and starts yammering. I cant hear her, I am cranking my headphones so I dont have to hear the idiots around me. But it was surreal, odd, and funny, all at the same time. The last thing I saw as I debarked a stop later at 34th was this old blind man and this stout female midget laughing with glee, side by side on the subway seats.

Forgot to post about my last midget sighting after the last Friday night game... in the subway station at Herald Square, upstairs between the B/D/F/Q and the N/R...
Midget dressed as Michael Jackson, one white glove and all, dancing to 80s MJ tunes on his boom box in front of a large crowd.

Its been a big week for midgets, to coin a phrase. This morning, just before 8AM, as I sauntered down Broadway to my place of employment, a midget crossed ahead of me and ducked into Starbucks, right underneath my office. She was wearing orange shorts and a yellow shirt, had a backpack on, and wore glasses. She was sorta creepy looking. As I passed Starbucks shortly after, I peered in and she was standing in line.

I wonder what she bought. And I don't know if I like the idea of you sauntering.

Good one.... We were returning from Point Pleasant last Sunday, and needed gas on the parkway. At the rest area, near exit 129, we were getting gas, and this midget was pumping gas at the other island.

And the beat goes on! I saw ANOTHER ONE, tonight, at Penn Station. Waiting for the 6:35 out of the city, standing around, a female midget came shuffling by.
Nondescript sort of women, although she seemed to be in a hurry, and was a midget.

In the grocery store tonight, I saw, perhaps not a midget, but an EXTREMELY short, chubby woman.
She appeared to not have any of the typical midget and/or dwarfism characteristics.
This was a completely normally proportioned (albeit a bit chubby) woman who was somewhere in the low 4 foot range I'd guess: four-two, four-three?
Frankly, such an extremely short person is much more of an intriguing sight than a midget, imho.

Spotted at 8:06am, in front of the Citibank Building in LIC, NY--
Female midget walking away from the building wearing a dark reddish shirt with black stripes (horizontal). She was a decent looking midget but not as attractive as the midget in the golf picture from a few months back.
