Midget seen, in Corona Queens. He's outside of a lemon ice king, and trying to reach the counter. He's walking a large mastiff.

A midget walking a mastiff = a person of average height walking an elephant.

Emma saw a mastiff the other day and her jaw dropped. She pointed at it and said, "Mommy, that is a BIG pug."

Emma just called me from the mall, where she was strolling around a pet store and saw a dog "eat his own poo."

That's ok, because "Dogs have personality."

The dog who ate his poo was crazy. I'm not sure what kid of dog he was but he was a big puppy. Some kind of reddish colored hound dog with long floppy ears and he was climbed up the side of the cage and sat perched on the side of it. Emma and I were calling him Spiderdog because of his climbing skills. I went over to pet him and he actually climbed into my arms and was clinging to me with his hind legs when I was trying to lift him back into the cage. When I finally was able to put him down he climbed onto his cagemate's head to try to get back up. I thought he was the most awesome dog ever until I went back to his cage after looking at some cats and seeing that either he or the other dog in the cage had pooped at that Spiderdog was indeed eating it.

Sounds like it may have been an Irish Setter, which are extremely affectionate, but dopey animals

Definitely not a setter. Not long haired and more of a light coppery red. I think he may have been a Hungarian Vizsla. In other news, I just spotted a midget. Male, black slicked back hair, 40ish dressed in business casual clothing. Pale yellow button down shirt (long sleeved) and black pants. Walking down Stewart Ave. in Westbury chatting on his cell phone. He looked like an important midget.

Viszlas are beautiful dogs and generally smart enough to omit poo from their diets.

Why would anyone, or anything, want to do that?
Oops.

This afternoon, doing a little sidewalk strolling in the rain. Coming the other way, under an umbrella (and no, not a tiny one) was a midget woman. She sorta looked Asian, I did not get a good look under her umbrella as it was head-high on me.
She was walking with a more normal - sized woman, and she was Asian. Which makes it more likely, but not guaranteed, the midget was also Asian.

That would be 2 Asian midgets inside of a year. I spotted one a few weeks back. But mine is a confirmed Asian midget.

We were in Target yesterday and there was a midget actually working in the Christmas decoration section. They should have had him in elf clothing. Dana says he's always there piddling around at work when she stops in, I had not seen him. I ran into him again in a different section of the store later in our foray, so he's a busy little midget.

I was at Target in Copiague earlier this evening and at first glance, I thought a guy had his kid walking behind him on crutches but when she got closer to me, I realized I was looking at an adult.

This thread has been sorely neglected. I know we are seeing more midgets than this.
Laura just called one in from around the Stadium. A block up from the bodega block on 161-ish, a male midget selling "VCR tapes" on the street. Not DVDs, but movies on VHS. She did not get his nationality or any further details.

I also had a Stadium encounter with a midget, last Thursday. A midget tried to see me bootleg DVDs. He would give it up either. After being told no, I was involved in a discussion about some of the latest movies, including Star Trek, where the midget reappeared like magic, with a bootleg copy of Star Trek. It was like a little leprechaun.

Saw one today, in Penn Station. A sloppy middle aged woman. Standing in line by the entrance to the A,C,E, to buy a Metrocard. She was wearing a blue jacket.

I was at the same WalMart the other day and saw 2...not sure if one was previously reported but I was wondering if WalMart has a midget recruiting plan in lieu of diversity recruiting. There was one working the door at the Wal-Mart in Massapequa.

Took a walk outside during lunch here at the office, and heading back, down Bleecker Street towards Broadway had my latest midget sighting. An ugly cur, wearing a plaid button-down shirt and a grey MLB.COM baseball cap. Walking with a normal sized person, and talking in animated fashion, waving his arms around as he did so.

Thanks to FPY for sending this to me - business is about to pick up! Little People Convention Making Its Way To The Big Applegothamist.com/2009/07/01/little_people_convention_making_its_way_to_the_big_apple.php Next week New Yorkers can refrain from being part of the tourism boom at Oregon's Roloff Farms (where stars of TLC reality show Little People, Big World live) because the city is welcoming the Little People of America's national convention in Brooklyn. Their website announces that the convention of over 3,000 little people and their families will take place July 4-10, "at the beautiful Brooklyn Marriott Hotel, located near the Brooklyn Bridge, and just a short hop across the river from Manhattan." The Daily News reports that the Marriott has lowered beds, sinks and ironing boards in preparation, along with a lower check-in desk in the lobby and higher stools in the bar area. Is it wrong that we noticed that the little people's arrivals just happen to coincide with the closing of The Wiz starring Ashanti on Broadway—the musical that snubbed its predecessor's famous casting by having the Munchkins played by tall folks in swivel chairs? Silent protest?

Almost forgot about this one - just this morning, in Penn Station. A commuter midget, female. In a spiffy womens business suit and skirt. Carrying a bag that was almost as big as she was. Hustling for the blue trains, as fast as her little legs could take her on her toy heels.

Two in one day! Talking to my brother on the phone, walking around the office, peeking outside to the street. Midget male, standing outside the bank. Possibly on his way out after depositing some small change, I bet. Wearing tan pants and a polo shirt. He was holding what appeared to be a mobile phone.
