www.youtube.com/watch?v=p8EzKvXJh6MThe official Trailer of Rocky 6. Of course it has ran its course and Rocky 5 was really weak, but Rocky 6 looks great from what I am looking at. Huge Rocky fan here even though I was not born for almost all of them.

I absolutely cannot wait for Rocky Balboa. I don't know any real spoilers other than basic stuff that you see in the trailer. But that trailer made it look damn good.
Assuming RonMossad joins this board, if Rocky dies, he's banned for life.
I just hope they have some sort of explanation of how Rocky can get sanctioned at age 60 when he couldn't at age 40 because Drago knocked his head around.

If they could sanction Holyfield to fight last weekend in real life, they can sanction Balboa to fight in a movie.

Well, Holyfeld wasn't diagnosed with severe brain damage where a shot to the head could be fatal or even worse. Holyfeld also isn't trying to come back 20 years AFTER that diagnosis.
I just hope they address it.

In a somewhat related note Jazz trumpeter Maynard Ferguson, who recorded "Rocky's Gonna Fly Now" died at 78 from kidney and liver failure.

Larry Holmes didn't suffer permanent brain damage. It would be more akin to Ali fighting.

I don't think Sly needs to worry about work or money. This film was being made because there is another chapter in the story waiting to be told. Rocky Balboa is the most highly anticipated film of 2006 and hopefully come Oscar time, it won't be snubbed.

What a blatant and shocking abuse of "power" - talk about taking it out on a scapegoat!

Rocky Balboa's life is at stake. There is no power abuse too small to protect it.

My friend works at the Garden City Hotel and he was talking to Burt Young (Paulie)..And Burt was saying how Sly is a pain in the ass to work with and that he never even say Rocky 4 and will certainly not be watching Rocky 5... that would be great it it gets some oscar nominations...

Banning me won't bring him back Balls. What's next, if I'm wrong about this, you going to ban me when Iran gets nukes?

Scott and Todd (on WPLJ) were talking about this movie the other day. Apparently, in the movie, they are making a video game of the greatest fighter today versus the greatest fighter of 20 years ago (Rocky) and in the game Rocky kicks ass. So, somebody comes up with the idea to have a real fight and see what happens.
I can't wait to see it!

This movie will be the best movie of 2006. Not saying much because I can't think of too many good movies in 2006, but it will ROCK.
There is no such thing as a Rocky movie that sucks.

Ay you knocked him down, why don't you knock me down now?
That fight with Tommy Gunn kicked ass. There is only one way a Rocky movie can suck.
Kill Rocky.
But if the unthinkable happens, RonMossad will be banned from this board, and from Section39.com.

I liked Rocky 5. And I am not joking here. Its my favorite Rocky movie (although I never saw III in full, or IV at all) - I liked the plotline of the young protege turning on his mentor, going heel as it were. It was very wrestling-storyline-ish for me, and I liked it. I liked the out of the ring bout they engaged in.

Watching Rocky beat the shit out of Tommy Gunn was one of my pre-final exam routines. I still can almost do the final few minutes leading up to that fight verbatim.
The only real issue I have with Rocky V is accepting that he lost all his money. Starting when I get back from Club Med, I'll be blogging on Rocky.
The first topic will be a full blog on the greatness of Apollo Creed.
And there will definitely be a blog on why Adrian was a total bitch.
