Red Sox fans have a similar group: the Professional Pillow-Biting League.

I figured you guys would appreciate this. On Sunday, Newsday is issuing a commemorative magazine on Yankee Stadium and my firm took out a full page ad; it will be on the inside back cover. The ad contains a bunch of pictures of my boss from 1960 when he won a bat boy contest along with some other pictures given to him. When I met with the advertising staff, they were so taken by my boss' story that they gave up free add-ons to our package. This link is a video cube that's slated to appear on newsday.com www.newsdayinteractive.com/testing/CameronEngineering/ad.htmlWe were also given a banner ad but I doubt you'd be interested in that

OK, in the beginning of that clip and blue guy with a mustache and receding hair walks in. Do any of your remember this guy - he was able to make sounds mimicking things like trucks, fire-engines, and other pieces of machinery (he was Michael Winslow before Michael Winslow). I never knew this character's name, but I SWEAR whenever I see Dr. Phil he reminds me of this Sesame Street character. EDIT: Ahh, thanks Wikipedia. He is Simon The Soundman www.youtube.com/watch?v=VmLKIE8WWPg&feature=related

Yes indeed, Simon the Soundman. He is a featured player in the Sesame Street retrospective coffee table book I am lucky to own, "Sesame Street Unpaved" as an oldtime fave who dissapeared in time.

Indeed. That happened about a decade ago, or more.
Reasoning makes some sense....they were afraid that by constantly having Big Bird talk about him, and having everyone pooh-pooh what they thought of his "imaginary stories" that kids would be shy in regards to telling their parents things, true or no, in fears that their parents would not believe them. Up to and including tales of abuse.

Does everyone on Sesame Street know about Snuffaluffogous these days? There was one episode when Snuffaluffogous was doing aerobics with Big Bird and the neighborhood kids. It was a bunch of years ago and I don't know why I was watching Sesame Street at that time. Must've been hungover and unable to find the remote.

Does it mention that Todd Bridges will be appearing in Hulk Hogan's new celebrity wrestling show, due to come on CMT shortly? That link is not working for me. I think I mentioned this on here before - when I did a stand-up comedy stint at my old school for a contest I made a Bridges joke. At the time he was incarcerated for stabbing someone.
Well, I cracked, "yeah, Todd Bridges stabbed this guy, but he didnt kill him. Hmmm....perhaps he should have used DIFFERENT STROKES."

Folks, this HAS to be seen to be believed. You may have trouble opening the link, so go to YouTube and punch in "Cleo Laine - Muppet show" and click on the Bruce Schwartz puppeteer thing. Please watch this! Anyway, after a stupid marionette show by this guy, Cleo Laine sings a song. Around the 2 minute and 33 second mark. A MARIONETTE DIES. In creepy fashion. Its like, deathbed stuff. On the muppet show!!!!! I think it was preceded by a Fozzy Bear comedy routine! This totally unsettled Emma. It baffled the Hell out of me. It unnerved Dana. Jazz singer Cleo Laine sings that haunting song "If" while this lady puppet watches this guy puppet in a robe like, die and stuff. At the end he floats away. Before that his head is moving, then thrashing like he is in pain. One of the more creepy things on Earth here. www.youtube.com/watch?v=IJYnwBmmhXE
