JACK-FM is all over the states and there's about 6 or so stations in this country. They place some good shit now and then, better than what these gits listen to at the office.

Part of that is because there are more seashells than trees.

If you are/were the kind of person who said, "Why do I need to learn algebra? When am I ever going to need algebra?" ... YOU WON'T!

An apple, onion, and potato all have the same taste. The differences in flavor are caused by their smell. To prove this - pinch your nose and take a bite from each. They will all taste sweet.

The overall tone of the Stephen A. Smith show today is one of black people having the market cornered on pain and suffering due to Hurricanes in Florida and Louisiana. It's pretty annoying. I'm not saying the black community didn't take the bulk of the hit from Katrina, but others suffered too...and will continue to thanks to hurricanes in that region.

The owner of my company is named Richard.
When he walks down the hall and I hear people say, "Hello Dick, how ya doin?" ... I giggle a little bit.

A few of us just absconded into the hallway to shoot a few putts into a cup, down the long stretch of hall here on the fourth floor. My first shot, from a good 40 feet off, nicked the side of the cup. My fourth shot, after 2 ok shots a bit to the left, was a straight-up sinker.
I also did this a couple of weeks ago on a company booze cruise around the city. Contest had already been held at the front of the boat unbenowenst to me, but I came over a bit later, saw a club, a ball, and a cup, and sank my first shot. People then told me if I had done that 30 minutes earlier I would have nailed $250 from one of our suppliers.

Someone is eating 48lbs, as I don't eat fish or shellfish either. I don' t eat anything that swims or crawls.

The winners of the Ticket Upgrade contest at Angels Stadium this past Sunday were in the EXACT same seats that they were when I went to see the Angels play the Dodgers in June.

If you are/were the kind of person who said, "Why do I need to learn algebra? When am I ever going to need algebra?" ... YOU WON'T! Actually, the shit that I learned in 10th grade math came back to haunt me when I took the GMAT. If you look at the math section in a GMAT review book, that stuff that you swore you would never use will be there.

I was having some sugar cravings on the way home tonight and I stopped at 7-11, where I found a wonderful, new creation.

The thing I always heard about algebra, and he may have been hogwash, is that its not the algebra itself that you will use, but the deductive powers and the inner powers to figure things out that battling algebra gives you. I was always told it was a means to an end. That said, I flunked it on more than one occassion, and I say it can go to Hell.

I recently used algebra to prove that one of those "amazing" e-mails that figure out your phone number was malarky.

Have another Nutter Butter peanut butter sandwich cookie ... with milk chocolate! I recently used algebra and its deductive reasoning to find out my raise was actually 0.3% less than what was promised.

I think maybe you guys missed the point...that or I didn't get the quote right.
You're correct Tom, it's the deductive reasoning skills that you'll use more so than the actual math itself.
The point of that quote is that people who make those types of complaints (Why do I need to learn algebra. When am I ever going to use it) will never reach positions in life in which they are charged with enough responsibility where their deductive reasoning skills come into play. In other words, you don't need to know Pythagorean's Theorem in order to dump the fries in the fryer.

You DO, however, need to learn how to swerve out of the way when the hot grease splashes.

He's fibbing!
They are basically sugar cookies. They just have a little nutmeg in them and they have a little cinnamon sugar on top.
