Tom I just reviewed the discs your guy sent. They all came out great and it included the Hall of Fame and the WM preshow and also a historical WM piece. Thank you so much again for hooking me up.
Now Balls to answer your question when watching the Cena match when he goes into the crowd after the win I did see myself on TV. Granted if you were watching live you would have blinked and missed it but now with the powers of technolgy and a DVD I paused it and I am there in the background in the bright orange Tazz shirt (makes it easier to pick myself out..LOL)....Actually it makes me stick out like a sore thumb in the background a few rows back and if you pause in the right spot you see my face clear as day..LOL

Bump!
After the Elimination Chamber last night WM looks pretty easy to set up.
Once Edge came back I had a feeling Jericho would get the belt back in time for a WM match with him, which will be the best because these two going at it will be top notch. I've very excited to see these two go back and forth from now until then.
Didn't know how they would work the WWE title though, but knew something had to be done because Sheamus isn't ready for that roll yet, and with the double switch last night, you have to assume Batista/Cena will top the card and send everyone home happy.
Guess this also open up HBK/Taker II. Will they give HBK the nod this time around or will UT keep that streak going?
Vince/Hart street fight?

A part of me thinks Cena and Batista will have Vince and Bret in the respective corners. Personally, I'd be surprised if Bret trust Vince enough to protect that mashed potato head of his. And after that horrible car accident angle I think that's the excuse to not have Bret in the ring. But I wouldn't be shocked if I'm wrong and they do have a quick 10 minute brawl.
Edge and Jericho will be good. I'm just worried it;s the usual give the belt to the guy returning and Jericho will have to job to Edge like he did HHH years back. Either way, it will be a great match so we all win.
Streak is as good as over.

I would like to see HBK end it, because it's a very old and tired gag. Probably won't though. Actually, I'd like to see the Undertaker retire and get off my TV with his 10 minute entrance.
Hell, a majority of those matches were shit. Fuck him.
Mainly because another match of the quality these two had last year, with the same result, will be a huge let down.
Then again, this match isn't even booked yet so we're just taking shit.
TOM GET IN HERE WITH SCOOPS ALREADY!!!
Hi Captain!! Hi Sancho!!

That streak is kind of a big deal, and currently no one on the roster is worthy of ending it.
Having HBK end it would be lame. Taker should just take that streak into retirement and have that as part of his HOF legend.
Redoing the same match is just horrible.

I see no one else they will pair him against, unless they make it a 3 way and add someone else to the mix so they can have another go at a five star match and not have HBK lose to deflate the place.

Just knowing HBK as well as I do, he's nervous about a rematch, probably doing it against his will. I agree, how do you top last year? How do you make it new? Another 5 star match with the same ending would be lamer than Taker's streak ending. I hate the streak honestly cause unless he's in there with say a Michaels it's a no brainer who is going to win? Did anyone think Big Show and A Train would beat him?
So I see it being another great match, near fall after near fall, kicking out of like 5 superkicks and 3 tombstones/chokeslams/last rides. Just a edge of your seat match like last year(minus the spot where Taker swan dives onto the mat outside the ring). But HBK has to win. Why go through all this to have him lose again? Plus I think the foreshadowing was when they had the face to face on Raw and Taker said Shawn was Mr. Wrestlemania, well with an undefeated streak that leaves room for debate on who gets the moniker. I think that ends with HBK going over.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Maybe in all this losing somehow Jericho swipes the title from Undertaker to set up him and Edge at WM and Undertaker is so mad and with HBK badgering him wants to take it out on him at WM??? « Last Edit: Feb 1, 2010, 4:10pm by thecaptain15 »

Feb 1st. I called it at the Slammys. Whatever thread the Slammy disaster is in with Dennis Miller, I said the next day if it happens the streak is over. But still very impressive Cap. Called the scenario almost to a T. Now the reason is Shawn cost him the strap, even better.
Question, is HBK going to do the tweener role and be a good guy with heel tendencies or will he be full fledged heel for a month or so? Maybe it was just me, but he took the air out of the building with that superkick. I wonder if the fans will be so mad he has no choice or they actually want to. Cause it the same way you don't want the same exact thing at Mania, so instead of face vs face like last year, Shawn goes heel like he did with Hogan?

Even if Taker went 17-1, that streak will always make him "Mr. Wrestlemania." It's silly to think otherwise. Nothing HBK could ever do will change UT's record.
But HBK winning is lame. That's why I hate the rematch. HBK winning actually makes it predictable. Even if we know Taker's going to win, sticking him in the ring with say, Sheamus would be at least different.
With HBK, you do risk repeating last year, or worse, he wins and the streak is over. That streak is a really cool stat--maybe the only cool one in wrestling other than Flair's championships.
Shawn could use a run as a heel.

James I do realize you called it way before that......I was just impressed I just about called the scenario just from a Jericho point of view since he was jobbing left and right and figured he had to be rewarded somehow for it...

I don't think it's that cool, when they started making a big deal about it it made matches predictable. You knew he was beating flair, you knew he was beating Big Boss Man, you knew he was beating A Train. You knew last year he was beating Michaels. You don't this year and that to me makes this an interesting match up.
Forget duplicating last year or whatever, it will have to be an all fresh match up. But to do the same ending, with near fall after near fall will be too much like last year. you need a different outcome.
And please, HBK stole the show with Vince at Mania, none of Takers matches combined add up to one of Shawn's classics at the show. The fucking guy has a losing record at Mania, all he does is put people over at the show and he's still the best performer in the history of the event. He put a fucking ladder over for shits sake. No one, other than you, thinks Taker is more a show stealer at Mania than Michaels. And I said it was up for debate, cause for most people, and by that I mean wrestling fans, work rate is more important than a record. Records are fake in wrestling Balls, Flair's titles is not like Di Maggio's record. Win Loss record means shit in wrestling. Michaels can lose every time at Mania for the rest of his career and still steal more Manias than anyone.
And be realistic, HBKs match with Tatanka at Wrestlemania 9 was better than Takers best match at Mania. Taker has had train wrecks at Mania, whens the last bad match Shawn's had at WM?

This just in, I got a message from WWE Mobile and HBK will be on Raw tonight to address costing the Dead Man the title. And according to this, "rumors are running rampant" is the exact quote I got, that Taker will make his presence felt tonight.

Takers streak does not come close to what hbk has done in wrestlemania. Not even close.
Hell, takers best match in the streak was against hbk.

I'm not comparing them as wrestlers. But the bookings make that streak the biggest thing at WM.

"Hell, takers best match in the streak was against hbk. "
I was hoping someone was going say that so I didn't have to.
And Balls, what are you talking about booking? Booking wise they book HBK as Mr. Wrestlemania, Taker himself said it on TV, that's booking. You just HBK plain and simple. And I don't care if you're a fan or not, but I don't let the fact I'm not a fan of Cena say he hasn't been big the past few years. You hate HBK so much you can only give him backhanded compliments. The fact you say his career the past 8 years isn't HOF worthy is nuts, he'd be in just for the past 8 years forget the run in the 90s. It's not even up for debate.

I get how good Cena is, but I'm not a big fan. I'm saying that his career BEFORE the comeback was HOF worthy to the point that the last 8 years don't matter.

Hall of fame worthy, but you always say lay wwes problems during that run on him. LOL
He's had quite a few memorable moments in his second run. He didn't change the game like the first time but the fact that people are drooling for this rematch says it all.

The two are not opposites. Yes, he was terrible at the top, and was a shitty champion, but no one can deny his HOF talent. His IC title run was one of the best ever. In fact, I think I'd have to say that next to the Honky Tonk Man, HBK was my favorite IC champ ever. Not my favorite wrestler to hold the IC belt, but my favorite IC champ.

DLed and watched Elimination Chamber last night, and I enjoyed it. The Smackdown one was VERY good.
The WM main events have been set up pretty well at the PPV and following RAW. I know Cena will regain the belt again but it's still a match that I think will be a good one, especially if they have each guy in Vince & Hart's corner.
The angle for the Undertaker/HBK match has me very intrigued.

The angle for the UT match basically made it a lock that HBK is going to win.
And I don't think anyone expects Jericho or Batista to have the belt when WM is over.

LOL, yeah Bret Hart really has a shattered leg.
As of now the only reports coming in is that the world is waiting with baited breath for my recap a week from tomorrow on the new Monday Night Wars. Another report is I'm still great cause I called the streak ending BEFORE the retirement angle was announced. While I think it's great you guys figured it out AFTER the fact, there's still something to be said about calling it with ZERO knowledge. Also, if you have not figured it out by now, by the end of WM 26 this year, there will no room for argument whether or not Shawn is the best ever at Mania.
Finally, the last rumor I'm hearing is, because of my aforementioned accomplishment as well as the pending achievement by the Heartbreak Kid, MSB has agreed to shave his head. That is all. The second I hear anything, you guys will be the first to know.
