This is a thread for CONFIRMED spoilers, as in pre-taped results and the like. If you are interested in such fare, join us, and discuss. If not, avoid. Try to keep spoilers contained in here to not ruin the inherent surprises wrestling has to offer.

This thread rules, now I don't watch Smackdown and be bored off my ass. Doesn't matter, I'd be watching tennis anyway. And Tom, shouldn't this be called Smackdown spoilers? I never see spoliers for Raw or anything. Not to be an ass, just wondering.

No, James, cause sometimes you find out what "surprise" people are backstage at Raw at 3PM morning of the show. There is also such a thing as, oh, I dont know....TNA and ECW Spoilers...
ECW spoiler, and steroid fallout - CM Punk is your NEW ECW Champion.

Yeah true, I don't bother reading the TNA spoiler cause the show is on 3 days a week as it is. And ECW doesn't really have a lot to spoil since their roster is so small. But no suprise there. And since when do they tape ECW on saturday? Wasn't it tuesday after smackdown? Or did they just tape a match at a house show and give Punk the belt? It's up on ECW.com but I could of sworn the tv tapings were tuesday, not saturday. This has to be kinda of bitter sweet for punk huh?

This week the taping schedule is completely changed, due to a trip overseas next week. Smackdown and ECW taped last night instead of Tuesday, and Raw is actually taping tonight instead of running live tomorrow. By tomorrow morning we will pretty much be able to figure out a lot of who is off our TV for the next month or so, and the fallout from this latest quagmire.
By the way, going word is Big Daddy V is going to be holding that ECW gold soon...I give Punk a couple of weeks.

What is it with Vince and the Khali/Daddy V monster guys? One guys like that being champ isn't good enough? Not that I would mind Big Daddy V, I can't stand Khali, he's so limited they give him the brain claw? yawn. I just hope it's more than a few weeks, they've been teasing Punk getting it, giving him title shot after title shot, now he gets it by default, and has to job it off in a few weeks? Why even have him going for the title if they're going to give him the Elijah Burke treatment?

James you know Vince has ALWAYS loved big guys. If there was nothing of significance going around in the title scene, AKA, no Cena's, Rock's, or Austin's, he'd slap it on a big guy and see if he can create some David vs. Goliath angle.

First off, if Morrison did not run afoul of the Wellness Policy, who knows what the plans for Punk were. In all talk I was hearing about the next guy to get any sort of real run with the ECW strap, its Big Daddy (who I like as well) and not Punk. Punk getting squashed by the Big Daddy a few weeks ago was all a precursor to that. I am sure Punk would have got his turn, but it was most likely the next PPV and not this weekend, but Morrison got nabbed.
I dont think Khali is long for the belt. They kind of got stuck without a champ over there - dont forget Edge was in for a long run as head-man. I think the only aspect Vince went for with Khali is realism....a guy that size, and with those powerful moves, in real life would be an unstoppable monster. And thats what they are doing with him.

Update to the Smackdown part of the Unforgiven main event - Batista is now added to the match for the crown, and its Mysterio-vs-Khali-vs-Batista for the strap. Visually, I was more interested in Khali/Rey. This may be a way to set up a Bastista/Rey feud. Also tells me that its obvious Batista skated this round of suspensions.

I disagree on Punk, why would he keep getting shot after shot if he wasn't going to get it and have a run? They set up a nice thing there with Punk going for it and coming close everytime. Setting up for when he did get it, big pop, which I'm sure he'll get tuesday being he's so over. To go with the precursor and squash him again would be a real slap in the face for Punk. By winning this weekend, just to do the job in a few weeks is a total slap in the face and basically saying, the guy we like fucked up, so here you go, we'll need it back in two weeks. When RVD had to do two jobs in two nights after he got nabbed by the cops, Show went on a run. Now it's not the same scenario but wouldn't it be good not only for Punk but for sales, to let him have it for at least two months, like lose it at Suvivor Series, not a buffer. Otherwise why make him so over and stick him in the title picture for months, just to job him out in a few weeks? I like V, but that'd be a stupid move so soon into Punks run. I hated it whn Edge always had short runs with the belt, and it isn't like Punk doesn't deserve it.
Cause if we're playing the what if game, what if Benoit doesn't snap and Morrison doesn't get thrown in for him? What was the plans for Punk then? If anything was a precursor for what Punks plans were going to be, it was the Vegeance match. They had to start from scratch and make him the hungry challenger, jobing him out so soon is just stupid

Your points are valid, but it could be so simple as the powers that be dont like him. Punks treatment in and around WWE seems to mirror what the marks feel about Samoa Joe's treatment in TNA. These guys should be on top, and winning on top, but consistently fall short. Punk WILL get his run, he is not going anywhere any time soon. Having the belt go to V only for Punk to win it again and get his long run along the line isnt the worst of things. Right now V is as over as he will ever be as the monster heel, and the fed wants to strike while the iron gets hurt. Give V the belt, make him unstoppable, and have Punk find a way to stop him later.
I think if the Benoit thing had not happened, Benoit would have won the belt in what would have been a classic against Punk, and those two may have ended up changing the belt back and forth. Morrison obviously would not have been in the picture. I simply dont think they feel its Punks time right now.

I has read Trips got pissed cause at the 5 on 5 suvivior series match, with DX doing their schtick, there's was a big CM Punk chant, not DX. I would hope if they don't like him at the moment, it's not that Suvivor Series thing carrying over.
As for Joe, he's good, sometimes his matches are blah, he's def star on the rise kind of guy, but he is fucking terrible on the stick, Punk does that better than Joe. If I started my own fed I'd want Punk and make him my centerpeice before I would Joe.

Well, again, I need to disagree. I am not a Joe fan in the least, but his promos are fine. His intensity is off the charts. And, above all else, I think he blows Punk away in that department, at least going by what they show week to week on TV. Do you even watch TNA? How can you say that Joe is terrible on the stick?
That "Punk" chant during that match is old news - any problems with Punk started way before them. Within a couple of weeks after Punk hit the WWE, HHH was quoted as saying Punk was a guy that, when he wrestles, looks like he is doing "an impersonation of a wrestling match." All his moves are choreographed and by the book as they can be. THAT is why HHH is not a fan, not from something during a match hardly anyone remembers or cares about.

I gotta agree with Triple Haitch's view of CM punk, the guy looks like he watched a bunch of old japan and ECW tapes and is simply copying what he sees.and his fuckin malarky "MMA" skills are a fuckin joke. so yeah, fuck CM punk I hope Big Daddy V crushes him

Intensity is one thing, but sounding corny is another. He sounds really awkward sometimes. I don't watch TNA as much as I'd like and not as much as I watch the wwe shows, but I get my good amount in each week, it is on 3 times, 4 times a week. And what I miss I catch up on on one of the sites. I have seen enough Joe interviews where it sounds really forced and awkward. Is he capable of doing a good one, yeah I've seen a bunch from him, but he doesn't seem as natural on Punk on the mic.
As for the wrestling, I agree to an extent, first I don't see him as being pushed MMA, yeah he does the muy thai stuff(do a small degree), knees and thing kicks, but he's not billed as some sort of ufc cage fighter guy. And as for the copy of a copy or whatever, I can see why people say that, I do get bored once in a while with his matches, but I think it's more on how where he does his signature stuff during a match then his actual moves. Cause as basic and methodically timed as it is, no one else does those moves. Shit, you can make the same argument that Mysterio is the same way, but I'd rather watch a basic Punk or Rey match then HHH and Booker for 8 minutes.

So they taped the wedding this week. Ugh. You know, I was actually following along, and I liked the whole lead-in to this. It was a story that went over time, and was played well. I laughed like Hell during the "bachelor and bachelorette" parties, especially at the end when everyone was dancing in the hallway (including Teddy, shirtless and in his undies) and big old Festus was standing there with that goofy look, holding a cup of booze.
ANYWAY, they took the easy way out. After the normal wedding shenanigans (Jillian dragged away after singing terribly, Godfather returning once again and taking all the men in the ring with him but Teddy, Hornswaggle, Coach and Vince running around...) Teddy Long has a heart attack and drops to the ring. Taken out in an ambulance.
Sigh. I guess, will he die? Will they try again? Will Krystal bolt?
There was another idea floating around - that these calls Krystal was getting from her "mom" were actually a jealous suiter, who would show up and beat Teddy up. Well, that did not happen.
Sigh.

Well, seeing the Godfather out there again will be a hoot.
But reports say the fans crapped all over this thing, and by the end were loudly chanting "WE WANT WRESTLING!"

LOL Rightfully so. The product has been gradually going downhill the last couple of weeks, and the suspensions have taken it's toll and might make things even worse.
Balls, you must be loving this. More Story than wrestling!

You'd watch if Albert was dressed as Godzilla and Bob holly brought back his Sparkplug gimmick, and you'd love their skills. Actually you wouldn't watch, you'd just watch their intros, FF the match, and get back to the next set of intros.
Go back to complaining about Giambi.

Albert stinks no matter what his gimmick. But Albert v. Golddust in an hour long match may be entertaining to some, but it's boring to most.

Who would give Albert and Dustin Runnels in any gimmick an hour in the ring? That's the dumbest thing I've ever read, seen or heard. It makes no sense and has never been done. Stupid comparison from the non wrestling fan.
As for the wedding, I knew it was going to tank and was awful to begin with. Wedding angles are dead. However, if it gets Teddy off a while and sticks someone new in the GM role, I like it. First of all, I think GMs should be switched more frequently, and secondly, it was time to get Teddy out of there.
As for the chants, I love that Cena is helping his dad and the crowd is chanting you can't wrestle. Way to have sympathy for the face champ who had his dad almost killed. Cena is overkill and needs to lose the last man standing match. If Vince is ignoring that, he should be in a real limo explosion. And if he also doesn't think that TNA nd UFC are breathing down his necks after getting We want wrestling chant, he's dumber than dog shit. You need more action and less fart and dick, MSB-esque lame jokes. I hope when some of the suspended guys come back they go to more wrestling oriented show. It also assures Balls won't watch and will have no reason to post in this section.
Also, bring back Y2J and HBK, asap.

Glad the point went over your head. By your logic, a good response to Grover would be that they would never give Albert a Godzilla outfit and that it's unrealistic to see Bob Holly behind the wheel again.
The only problem with some of your suggestions is that if I stop posting in this section, you wouldn't have anything to say, since you're kind of obsessed.

Right cause I didn't spend half that post talking about the wedding. You're an asshole who tried to make a point by saying some people would not only book, but also watch a Alber/Goldust iron man match. I know what the point was, but you're response was beyond retarded. It took me a few lines to get that out. Then another two were spent talking about something you know shit about, you just like to pretend you do so you can feel like you have friends. And if you didn't post here, I could spend more time talking about wrestling instead of having to scratch my head over the uninformed, unintelligent shit you post here. Go talkabout something you know, spending most of your time by yourself.

The fact is, if you spent half the post talking about the wedding, you spent the other half obsessing over me. And once again, you can't seem to make a post without mentioning me, like some weird stalking thing.
Not my problem. It's yours. I don't care what you think about pretty much anything, which is why I never mention you. Apparently, you live and breathe by my every word, as your constant obsession seems to indicate.
You should pursue other interests.
