Guys, I seem to remember you discussing Flair appearing at the Seaport on Sunday....I have now seen it in two places that it would be on MONDAY....this makes more sense...would he be signing the morning/early afternoon of a PPV day? He may not even appear on Raw Monday...
Just doublecheck before you show...
Also, CM Punk will be appearing at the Broadway Mall on Sunday Feb 24, from 2-4. We'll be attending!

That does make more sense, with the FanFest Fri-Sun, after all. But I saw it on two different wrestling sites listed for Monday, and one of them even had a whole speech about how it would affect him showing up for Raw.

here is a live update from the Flair signing. I got here about 20 minutes ago. I would say there is a good 300 people on line already. I am right around the 200 range that is the"bracelet" guarentee of an autograph. WOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

Here is the update...Most mismanged event that I ever attended..good thing you didn't waste your time....bottom line no autograph..I will be sending WWE an email tomorrow (not that it will matter much).....I will paste here which will summarize the fiasco as I have no time to type out a diatribe now............It was not organized and orderly like the book signings (but then again those type events put money in their pockets - not these "Freebie" events..)

January 28, 2008
WWE Corporate Headquarters Attention: Live Events 1241 East Main Street Stamford, CT 06902
I am writing this letter (since your email forms have a 2000 character limit) concerning yesterday's Wrestlemania Fan Axxces at the South Street Seaport in New York City. First let me say I am not one to complain and actually this is the first time I was actually moved to send a letter or email of this nature. I am a long time fan/customer of WWE starting in the mid 1970's attending events at the local high school, and then graduating to monthly events at MSG and the odd out of town PPV show (3 or 4). I also am a viewer of all 3 brands, and subscribe to WWE magazine, as well as WWE 24/7. All that being said, yesterday's event was the most mismanaged and least organized event I ever attended. In essence I wasted over 6 hours of my weekend day due to miscommunication, an uninformed staff, as well as a lack of organization.
I arrived more than 3 hours prior to the event (about 8:45 am) that promised Ric Flair would be signing autographs between 12-2pm. I was well aware that the first 200 people on line would get bracelets guaranteeing that you would get an autograph and then you were at the mercy of the two hour time limit if you did not have one (which is most acceptable, as I am well aware of the busy schedules of the wrestlers – especially on an event day)…..This is why I arrived as early as I did and I would say I was in the 150-175 range in line, which was set up on one side of the Atrium and snaked all around the floor. What happened at 11:00 am when the event started was ridiculous. People started running down the open side of the atrium up to the booth to get bracelets (and these were people in the back of the line – since they were closest to that side). The bracelets were long gone before I even got within “shouting distance” of the booth and once inside I noticed at minimum, at least 20 people that I recognized from the line who were behind me sporting bracelets. This would have all been avoided if the management had the common sense to stand one of the staff on the open end of the floor to turn away anyone who attempted to proceed to the booth from that end. I made my complaint known at the booth, once I arrived at it, and all I received back was a non verbal shrug of the shoulders.
If this was not bad enough once the event was underway, a line was formed and several staffers on the floor kept going up and down the line saying that this is the line for autographs for folks without bracelets who would like to try to get one, time permitting within the 2:00pm window but there was no guarantee they could get everyone up there by 2:00pm. I have no problem with any of this, as again, I understand scheduling. The problem I have is this is not what happened and also you should change your advertising to say that only the 200 bracelet holders are the only ones that would receive autographs and it is not a “session” from 12-2pm because that is what happened. First let me say Mr. Flair was a consummate professional in addressing the crowd, being cordial and even as he was leaving and I know what transpired is a reflection of what the staff instructed him to do, as I was right there. Mr. Flair arrived at 12:20pm addressed the crowd and immediately began signing autographs. I continued to stand on line and by 1:25pm, I was about 10 feet away from the stage when the staff stated near the stage said that only bracelet holders would get autographs and no one else would. A few people in the front protested, first informing them what happened at the open and secondly to say it was supposed to be until 2:00pm and it was only now 1:30pm. The staff became visibly irritated in having to deal with the people (who were upset at what they were promised not coming to fruition) and motioned “the cutting of the throat sign” to the security on stage while the last bracelet holder was up there, in other words after that person that was it even though it was only 1:30 and also became apparent this was their decision to end things and not a “scheduling” reason where Mr. Flair may have had to leave early, which I am sure would have been announced also on his arrival (or should be). So, what was billed as a 2 hour session where the first 200 with bracelets (notice I do not say the first 200 in line, as that was not the case) was an hour and 10 minutes with only bracelet holders getting autographs. There were probably another 75 people or so waiting for autographs, so if the staff would have let Mr. Flair stay until 2pm everyone would have went home happy despite the total mismanagement of this event.
This event left me with a lot of ill feelings and it will be a long time before I attend another one of these “free events”. I notice much better organization and management with the prior Ric Flair book signing I attended a couple years ago and couldn’t understand why this would not be organized similarly (but I guess that has to do with the fact that the book signing is a revenue generator for the company). Please note I am not writing this to get some sort of sympathy or free autograph, as I have had the past pleasure of meeting Mr. Flair, and already have a couple of his autographs (I actually had a personal picture from a previous signing which I was looking to get signed). I am hopeful that you will implement future changes in order to "sure up" these short comings for future events, so that I may decide to come again and not have to waste 6+ hours of my precious weekend that could be better well spent with my family and friends then standing on several lines in an Atrium for no reason.
Sincerely.......

Very well said, Cap. Yeah, you got boned. The actual time spent signing, and the wayward way people were able to score a bracelet is atrocious.
Sorry to hear about the snafu. You may have been better off going to meet Mr Matt Striker on Friday afternoon, and i would hazard to guess The Highlanders on Saturday did not generate such a crowd. You would think this being the 3rd of 3 days of Access that the WWE would have had this down for the weekend.

I think there was a Hardy's signing somewhere also in NYC at another location a day or two before and people were discussing that the line for that was way out of control and blocks long...

Well, think about this....we waited for what became almost 2 hours to meat friggin' Hornswoggle, bless his little soul. I am wondering how crazy the Punk signing will be, but at least its on a Sunday and we can show up early to survey scene. These WWE folk sure know how to gather a crowd.

But that's a crime how you got dicked like that.

CrazyLiz can vouch for this, she knew the story back in the day. Once, for fun, I wrote a tape company from work ripping their tape apart, complaining of imaginary problems with it, talking about how my customers were laughing about it, how it was costing me business. The whole shebang, really calling this tape crap.
A couple of weeks later I get a box to my attention, from the tape company. It was a form letter of apology (with a real signature on it) and a full box containing rolls of the tape I just sent a hateful letter about.
