Another good old fashioned time-wasting thread, because I am at work... looking for ways to make the time pass faster.
I am also trying to find something to do BESIDES post catty comments in public forums about stuff I was just looking at.

Eh, what kind of answers are you expecting here? Anyone who posts what they are doing right now will end up having the same answer. Hanging out in front of a computer, browsing the board. We wont get any exciting answers like surfing, shopping for a new hockey stick, or barbecuing here.

Since you're asking what I'm doing "right now," I will tell you...I'm on the LIRR heading home. Just finished a $3 Penn Station draft and at Freeport station.

I'm watching old reruns of The Odd Couple... anyone else ever think that David Hyde Pierce based his Niles Crane character on Tony Randall's Felix Ungar?

Who the Hell is Niles Crain?

Do you live in a bubble? Niles is Frasier's neurotic homo-subtext-laden psychiatrist brother.

Ok, Ill bite on this one. Besides, if I post this in Useless Facts it will be buried and gone before the right people see it.
Watching a wrestling comp tape I made in 1997, to come down after the baseball game right now. I taped matches, promos, things that interested me. Somehow some commercials ended up on here, strings of them. I either fell asleep or was too drunk to hit pause. Anyway, LOL @ the 1997 commercials.
There is one for Playstation Hockey, featuring John LeClair of all guys. In a bonanza, they show graphics for this game, real-time play, as LeClair and some doof are playing while some knob sits in the whirlpool behind them. Holy fuck, Im not a gamer, but this looks like 1987 graphics. Compared to today, wow. Choppy, the players look dumb, the action is not real-lookin.
The other thing that makes me laugh is a commercial for Carmel Car Service. They can get you to the airports....check this out - $17 to LaGuardia! $27 to JFK! And a whopping $28 to Newark.

A few of you may already know we are moving by January 1st, from our Westbury apartment to my Aunts old house across the street. We are very excited about it, but much needs to be done. Today I made a start on a lot of it.
We put up our Christmas tree on the day after Thanksgiving. So I had to clear the space for it, and i wanted to empy the shelves and those little living room nooks that hold all kinds of knick-knack. Folks, I worked on this stuff for THREE HOURS!
And more than halfway through, I stepped back and could not see one thing I accomplished. It was actually distressing.
Well, now I can see what I did accomplish. I moved my first items across the street too, 2 trash bags of DVDs that I emptied from the racks. I boxed up all the candles and knick knacks and stuff that adorned the shelves, and dusted and cleaned. I am sure tomorrow I will tackle yet another nasty job, and Sunday me and Dana are going to work on the closets.
I am eating lunch now - bologna and american cheese on rye with a glass of milk, then I am logging couch time while Emma hits the computer, and Noggin.com

Congrats on the upcoming move, Tom and Dana. Right now, I'm getting my balls handed to me in Facebook Scrabble, eating soup and taking everything resembling cough medicine I can find. This cold sucks ass.

It's 9:24p, and I'm in my back yard sitting on my patio set, smoking a Cuban second my friends just brought back from Cabo, scouring the internet for free Oi/Skinhead/original ska and rocksteady mp3s.
Sorry, east-coasters, but I'm barefoot as well.
But, I know...it's good to see the seasons change!

The Creative Zen is where its at!
I need to upgrade to an 80 gigger come my birthday in July, I should be through these last 9 gigs left on my 60 gigger by then.
Cho, send me the link for your forays into free music. Since we had to reformat my entire home computer, Limewire is no longer welcome in my home....for now.

limewire is for noobs tom, you need to learn bit torrent. all the free movies, music and software you can handle it *slightly* technically complex, but with a little reading, you can certainly learn the basics. start here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BitTorrent_(protocol)you don't need to learn it all. just get the basics down (seeds, leeches, ratios ect) and you'll be good to go and when you are ready to get a bit torrent client, i recommend AZERUS (now called Vuze) once you get that going, let me know and i will turn you onto a world of free music
