Someones got to foot the bill.
What would you rather have, informercials from 3-6AM, or Milky Way and Miller Lite commercials for 20 minutes every hour?

I'd rather have what was advertised...24/7 MLB coverage.

Yeah, good luck with that one. i would prefer the infomercials when I am in bed, and skip the big blocks of commercials during prime time.
Stop complaining, Cho. What are you going to do, sue?

I think the network should only feature Tom Emansky infomercials.

MLB Network should also feature the American Express ad from Major League. "Don't steal home without it!"

That's a good point, assuming there's no issue with Paramount for the rights. Amex should buy the rights to that commercial and air it on MLB Network.

Keep us posted with times and such.
I had been meaning to come on here to say, after what I thought was an auspicous start to me - I hated the guy when I first saw / heard him - John Hart has become my favorite panelist during the 30 in 30 and other shows i have seen him on. He's legit, although he looks pretty out of place.

It starts this Sunday at 830pm. From what I understand, they will be on a random segment on fantasy baseball. Now you can see what kind of screwed up weirdo fantasy league I have to compete in.
No word yet on whether or not they will be wearing the cool Herald Reynolds track suits.

So you're in the league with the people from MLB Network, that is being talked about on that show? That's pretty cool.

Nah, I'm in a league with some people from mlb.com - who happened to be invited to go to NJ to talk about fantasy baseball with the people from the network.

My buddies and I were supposed to have our fantasy draft featured during NBC's NFL pregame a few years back (when NBC still had the AFC rights). We were "featured" for all of about 1.3 seconds, yet they shot about five hours of footage. It makes me wonder how much money is wasted filming stuff that has zero chance to appear on TV.

Are any of you watching the MLB Network's "Roundtripper Final" show? I am. Nightly.
Have you seen/hear the host Trenni Kusnierek?
Good Lord, she is AWFUL.
Look, first off, I am not one of these "Women Have No Place In Sports Journalism" guys. I have no issues whatsoever with females sharing in this occupation with men.
But this lady is really agonizing to listen to. Her "ahhh-ahhh-ahhhh-ahhh" stutters and long pregnant pauses are really uncomfortable. She is really bad. I, in fact, feel bad for her, because if even a small part of the viewing audience feels like I do, her baseball-knowledge comes across as being suspect (whether it actually is or not is another story) due to her public-speaking issues.
She seems entirely pleasant. There's nothing aesthetically objectionable about her, she doesn't say anything overly stupid or outlandish...she just comes across as really unprepared.

I've never seen a female broadcaster (on television anyways) that I wasn't completely annoyed by.

Anyone see the Dodger game last night?
Way to squander Kershaw's 13K effort.
Now L.A. knows why we don't miss Joe "Misuse The Bullpen" Torre.

Now that the offseason is here, I really have to get in the habit of watching this channel again. I liked the Hot Stove show.

They started running those this week with regularity. Ive only watched in bits and pieces, but the analysis has been spot on. They've also ran Hot Stove roundtables chatting bout the various awards being handed out.

Hot Stove report will heat up a little more once the awards are over. They can stop looking at 2009, and move on to 2010.

So i watched Costas' sit down with Juan Marichal, and enjoyed it. Marichal came off as a jolly soul, an antithesis of sorts to the bat-swinging maniac who clobbered John Roseboro.
Speaking of such, finally saw my first footage of that fight, all I kept seeing was that same one picture. It was much more flash-fast and intense than I had imagined it, it was not what I pictured at all. I know a special was on this week about that one incident - I DVRd that one - and Im looking forward to seeing it.
Marichal had some good yarns, and he is truly an underrated hurler in the history of the game. A good interview.

he was underrated because of who his peers were at the time. If he had pitched 10 years later, he'd have been talked about like Cy Young.
