LOL@Tom actually thinking he knows shit about the business of baseball. A $200 million payroll doesn't mean a thing. If it did, the Yankees would win every year. In case you haven't followed the Yankees, they don't win every year.
It's not the payroll that wins championships, despite what those with Yankee envy say.
If a team needs a new stadium to get interest, it doesn't have interest. All that new stadium will do is make a small spike in attendence for a few years and then it will be back to normal.

Then I guess Texas, Baltimore, Toronto, Cleveland, Seattle, San Diego, Detroit should have been contracted 20 years ago?

More on our friend Anibal Sanchez, who went the other way in what MSB called one of the dumbest trades in MLB history, in regards to the Marlins cache in the Beckett/Lowell move.
""Florida's Anibal Sanchez keeps drawing raves. ''Dynamite stuff, savvy and gutsy,'' Mets and catcher and former Marlin Paul Lo Duca said. Ex-Marlins pitching coach Mark Wiley, a Rockies assistant, calls Sanchez a `` Greg Maddux-type guy.''

A $200 million payroll doesn't mean a thing. So, the Yankees just prefer to have a $200 million payroll to be nice to their players? It can't be because it helps them win, because "A $200 million payroll doesn't mean a thing." says MSB. That may be the stupidest thing ever posted in the short history of this board. "A $200 million payroll doesn't mean a thing." Does he believe all the shit he spits?

When in doubt, whine about the Yankee payroll. Still won't change that the payroll doesn't guarantee a thing. Sure, teams like the 2004 Red Sox can buy championships, but as they proved, they can't buy heart. Just ask Ortiz.

A $200 million payroll doesn't mean a thing. Just keep chanting that out loud. Please explain why they have a $200 million payroll if it doesn't mean a thing. I'd like to hear this. I'm not really bitching about payroll. The Sox team & their $130 million was a team full of fucking cunts & they sucked shit this year. I fucked hate the 06 team & $130 million for no playoffs is a joke. It's almost as bad as $200 million for 6 years & no title.

How many $200 million payroll teams have won a championship? Payrolls don't win championships.
