I love Perfect Strangers if just for the fact it's The Franchise Shane Douglas' theme song. Good stuff either way.
I currently have on Alice in Chains Down in a Hole from their Unplugged album.

The whole Perfect Strangers CD is pretty solid, but I could listen to the title track and "Knocking at Your Back Door" over and over without getting bored. My current selection for laundry music:

(moved here, in response to Vinny's Wu Tang Clan explanation)
OK...I get it.
I actually own a Wu Tang Clan CD, although I'm not much of a rap fan at all. I think my rap collection consists of my Wu Tang Clan CD (the one where the guy says, "Torture Mother fucker...I'll sew your asshole up and keep feedin' you and feedin' you), Run DMC's first album (with Hard Times, It's Like That, etc), LL Cool J's "Radio", and Shinehead's "Unity" (not sure you want to call that rap or not, but it's a GREAT disc)....I should move this to a music thread, and I'll continue there...
It's funny, posting this made me think - at 37 years old I am SO completely ambivalent and out of the loop in regards to music and what is supposedly cool these days. When I was younger I swore I would never be like my Dad and poo-poo the newest hippest music, and that I'd always be up to speed on what's cool. But I'm there now - I'm my Dad. I still listen to all the same old 70s 80s punk rock records that I listened to when I was 27, when I was 17....hell I'm still listening to a lot of the same stuff I was listening to when I was 13 or 14. My girlfriend doesn't like any of the same music as me (although I've taken her twice to see Stiff Little Fingers, which she seemed to like to some extent) and she's still really up to date on the latest Top 40 stuff, so I'm sure it's really funny to her when we're driving somewhere and she's listening to the hot new single on the radio and I've never even heard of the singer, let alone the song.

Chodad, I swore the same thing and kept true to the Descendents theme of not wanting to grow up. The only thing I have a real problem with is "pop" music and today's country music. I never cared for pop that much, and liked old country music. I remember seeing Dwight Yokum at X shows, and then seeing Billy Zoom playing with him at The Palimino. I listen to Willie's Place on XM to get my fix of the old stuff.
I think music is one of the levels that my kids and I can communicate on. It's funny because there was a day when I would throw in a Black Flag tape and "Wasted" would be playing, and my kids would be screaming, "shut it off, put in Little Mermaid!!!". Now they want to burn copies of a lot of my collection and ask me questions like, "what was Chuck Dukowski like??"
I have a lot of rap in my collection, Chodad, but I'm like you in that I don't think I could look at the top 40 charts and recognize anything.

Well Jackass, hopefully someday I'll be in the same boat as you...because as it stands now, my 7 year old doesn't wanna even entertain giving it a listen if the singer doesn't also have a TV show on the Disney Channel! HAHAHAHA!!! BTW - shameless plug - check out www.elevenhundredsprings.com. These guys (Matt and Steve) are my very good friends...have been for many many years. Matt was a protege of some sorts of Jim Heath (Reverend Horton Heat) and Ronnie Dawson....these guys are great and are the REAL country music which you speak of!

The only MUST HAVE Dicators album is Go Girl Crazy...at least in a historical sense. That is the record that made the Dictators what they are, and has secured their legend in the chronology of punk rock.
But, you know...if you're a big fan then get Bloodbrothers and DFFD as well. I would. I don't own Bloodbrothers at the moment - had it and lost it at some point along the line.
There are some really funny Handsome Dick stories in the book "Please Kill Me" - check that out.

Someone's MP3 player/Alice In Chains post made me think of something.
When I first got my ipod, I ripped the Velvet Revolver disc, uploaded the tunes to the ipod, and all of them skip. There must be some "intelligence" on the CD to prevent ripping. Anyone else ever experience this with other CDs?

I experienced that with a Bullet From My Valentine CD I tried to rip off of Limewire once. I blamed Limewire at the time, and did not burn anything else again for weeks. Turns out that it was the band, and the upload. I know a lot of CDs are being sold these days that are rip-preventive.

I'm listening to the FedEx guy and the UPS guy having a fight, because Willy (the UPS guy) wouldn't let Alex (the FedEx guy) into the mailroom AGAIN.

Why does the UPS guy have the power to keep the FedEx guy out of the mailroom? It's a glass door that can only be opened from the inside, or by using a card key. Someone let the UPS guy in, and he was hanging around the mailroom, when the Fedex guy showed up. No one else was around, so the UPS guy refused to open the door because "it's not his job" and "why should I make your life any easier"... So he just stands there and watches the Fedex guy balance his boxes until someone from my firm lets him in.... I could have gone over to open the door and settle the fight, but I find it amusing.

I just found my Beatles Anthology of like 8 cds with different recordings on a bunch of songs. Fucking awesome. Currently I got on George Harrison doing the song "Something" solo. This plus my John Lennon Anthology are must haves for any Beatles fans.
