Getting myself into a Halloween frame of mind by starting a King Diamond/Mercyful Fate marathon of sorts. Grabbed just about everything I have from both offerings and chucked it in my bag for radio play during the grueling end of month workdays I will have the next couple. I have about 10 CDs here, and a whole heap of cassettes from back in the day. I am pretty much covered. I left one CD, Mercyful Fate's "Into the Unknown" at home, where its in the kitchen radio to give me a good listen while I wash the dishes.

I am listening to Alan Jackson's "Honky Tonk Christmas" - its a pleasant listen come holiday time, but the mood is totally ruined late in the disc with a tune he does with THE CHIPMUNKS. I mean, who exactly is this appealing to? He should be ashamed of himself. Its absolutely insane. I once bitched that Father Guido Sarducci has a tune on a "Classic Rock Christmas" compilation I once had, but that actually is a witty tune that grew on me. This Chipmunks number wont please anyone, trust me.
