Well, for what it is worth Alan Sniffen, who runs the NY Radio Message Board, says that after this contract CBS will probably be dumping O and A. Add to that the rumored XM sacking, and they will be out of work. They should just go back to doing overnights at WBAB!

Fuck that pompous ass Sniffen, fucking douche does nothing but run his mouth. Al Sniffen knows dick about OnA.
For what it's worth Tom, the boys spent a good amout of time opening the show with callers from Philly bitching about how they couldn't hear the boys and there was music on the station they use to be on. They have fans, but the station made a bonehead move. And there will be a backlash from the Pests and they'll be back on. When they were suppose to get canned from XM the first time, the backlash from all the OnA fans forced them to keep OnA and give them a reduced suspension. Something you always have to remember Tom, OnA always win in the end.

Their show eats horse balls. It's nowhere near the show it once was. I turned off Little Jimmy's HBO special after 10 minutes. That evening that we all went to The Cellar, his set was weeeeeeeeak.
Even though they are better than virtually everything on radio, it speaks to how shitty the on air talent is now more than how good they are.
Their time is almost up.

I had a Big Ass Card, fucking lost it and forgot the number. I'm a fucking maroon. I am, however, going to try and get a babyfuck card as well as a subscription to Ron Magazine.
As for Ona, I loved Jimmys HBO special. Some of the bits he had done, on like Letterman, but he just reworded it. that pissed me off. But the line about Anna Nicole Smith having everything but Trimspa was classic. But on a worst of I heard today, they re aired the bit after News Years with mush mouth stoke affected Dick Clark, for 20 minutes they just beat him up and it was fucking great. Granted, it's been 10 months and a lot has changed, I don't think they're done. I agree it's not what it was, and it's better than what else is out there, like Scott and Todd, they got too huge of a fanbase. What they're just going to dissapear?

Can you stop comparing them to Scott and Todd, already???
Two different demographics - Scott and Todd are catering to soccer Moms, and they probably have 9 of those listeners to every one O & A have. They are not competing for the same listeners, you idiot. I dont like Scott and Todd, and I no longer like O & A. Hell, I stream a morning show out of Poughkeepsie, NY, every morning. The fact you are resorted to comparing O&A to the guys doing the morning show on WPLJ of all places show how far they have tumbled.

Tom, what the hell are you talking about? Why would I compare Scott and Todd to OnA? The fact is Scott and Todd beat them out in Philly unless I'm thinkinhg of a different radio program, that's why I brought them up. Not comparing, just bringing up how Philly is full of soccer moms who love that fucking show and OnA suffer for it. I remember when they did that bit of a slinky down the Rocky steps or pennies or some shit, Op was pissed they could be beaten by those two faggots who do cornball shit like that. That's why I brought them up. Scott and Todd are really relevant when it comes to OnA, and since you know everything that comes out of Alan Sniffens fucking cock hole you should know for some bizzare reason those two douches beat out the boys so I thrash them. Get it now?

Are Scott and Todd even syndicated to Philly? I dont think so....anyway, they are based out of, and plugging along here in NY. Sorry, but if they lost to Scott and Todd anywhere, the O&A show is in more toruble than I thought...

K so I was wrong then, I know OnA have bashed Scott and Todd, maybe they just did it for fun. But there is a show, similar to Scott and Todd in Philly, that beat them out for the first spot when the ratings came out either last time or the time before.
And they aren't in trouble. Everyone always says there going to go away and they never do. Get over it for fucks sake. Philly is b ut one market, you kow how many markets they are in and doing very well in? But the guy who is in charge of YSP thought music would be better to go back to, and it's will blow up in his face and the boys will be back in Philly, if not at YSP, a different station. For the life of me, I can't figure out how you people assume OnA can just dissapear, over night no less. Really the only pople who say that are the people who think only 100 people listen to the boys, it's crazy talk. Sorry, they're too popular to just go away like that.
If local stations want better ratings, they could prmotoe the boys, not just throw a banner in front of the station building and a billboard along some highway. There are more ways to get the word around to listen while you go to work than just that.

I know OnA have bashed Scott and Todd, maybe they just did it for fun Yeah! Fun, fun! Maybe if they spent time being, oh, I dont know, CREATIVE - rather than bashing a morning show catered to women they would have more listeners. Philly is not the first market to dump them. They have also been dumped in markets like Chicago and Detroit. How much promotion do they need? How many DJs ARE heavily promoted?? Opie and Anthony have been all over the place - you are going to blame this on a lack of promotion???

First off, let's see how long you stay syndicated creating shit on the fly 5 hours a day, 5 days a week. You think you're call in gig was tough?
And second, yeah. they get treated as if they're just some New York Jocks. They've been taking calls from all te cities you mentioned, who are pissed their local stations made a change, it's not like people don't listen to them in those cities, they wouldn't be calling in asking why the boy aren't on. I think it's just as much the fans fault as it is the station, stations could protmote them better and fans could better support their local stations. They have the fans, they're not getting dumped cause they don't have listener, stations are making a program change to music. They'll be back in those markets, they're in plenty more.

Scott and Todd aren't on in Philly. I'm guessing you mean "Preston and Steve," which sounds almost exactly like "Scott and Todd," except for the "Scott" part and the "Todd" part.
And the target audiences are completely different. Preston and Steve have been blowing O&A out of the water in their own demo.

Yeah, that's them, but Preston and Steve are just as bad as Scott and Todd so it's all the same. And I'm aware they've been destroying OnA, which is why I said Philly sucks. Getting dumped by Philly sucks, but it's not the end of the world or OnA, it's nothing major, they're still on in bigger markets than Philly. Just like the XM ratings aren't so bad, or accurate. They were off for a month due to the suspension, people ended their subscription to XM cause of it, of course the numbers will be low. This isn't the end of the show.

Ah, I remember when O&A "declared War" on Preston and Steve. Interesting how that one turned out! Seems they lost that one, huh!
Hey, James, you tard - how do you know how bad Preston and Steve are? How often do you listen to them? Do you hate them cause Opie and Anthony told you to hate them? What a sheep. Why dont you run up to a weatherman doing a live remote and blow an airhorn in his ear, you dope.

They are just as bad........yet you didn't even know who the hell they were.
And losing Philly isn't major? The 7th-ranked market in the nation? They are on in bigger markets than Philly? Yeah, they are...and they also got dumped in a bigger market than Philly (Dallas - 5th).
They are live in Chicago (where they are getting killed), and they are on tape in a shitty time slot in San Francisco.
I have a feeling O&A are destined to remain on the air solely in New York. That's not such a bad thing, really. But it's a far cry from what they could have had.

Yeah I did confuse them with someone else, so what? What's the big fucking deal? Ooh, I mixed up two horrible morning shows, what a fucking moron I am.
Again, they have been losing markets, but due to format changes. It's isn't like they aren't being listened to. A lot of people in those cities are pissed off, people do listen, not just people in New York either.

James, what makes you a moron is you were on here ripping that show like you knew what you were talking about, yet you had no idea who they really were. Your credibilty was shredded, and all you look like is someone who is around solely to bounce Opie and Anthonys balls inside your mouth.
You are a stooge for the show. Dont rip other shows if you have no idea who you are even ripping.
And STOP SPINNING ALL THE LOST MARKETS!!!!!! The show is failing!

Right, someone who doesn't listen to the show and gets his info from fucking Al Sniffen and clueless newpapers is so much more aware of what's going on with their show. Fact is, the reason they lost a market is more important than the actual lost market. Again, they did NOT lose markets due to poor ratings or no fanfare. I can't believe someone is calling me stupid and not even know why they lost the market. When they're still on in a year, I won't tell you I told you so. lol, I confuse two bad radio shows then I don't know wht I'm talking about. Ok. It must be awesome going through each day not making mistakes. you and Justin should write a book how more people can be perfect like you two dickbags.

O & A just lost Chicago. While a format flip is happening there, Steve Dahl is staying on board. Stations are just dumping these guys left and right.

No surprise. Things are crumbling for them. I really think they are more of a local show than a national. Actually, the numbers bear that out.

PWTorch.com reader Alfonso Castillo sent the following report on Chris Jericho's in-studio interview on Opie & Anthony Friday morn...
Chris Jericho was in studio for the Opie and Anthony show this morning for about three hours. During most of the interview Jericho covered the usual ground in promoting his book and sharing some memories of his career. It was pretty much a love fest with all the guys laughing and having fun. Then it got weird.
The subject of Jericho's dad having played hockey with the New York Rangers came up, and Jericho talked about how he also played a little hockey, and took part in the Christopher Reeve celebrity hockey benefit for four years at Madison Square Garden. Reeve has been a frequent target of jokes by the O&A gang for years, so comedian Jim Norton, who is the third host on the show, immediately jumped in with a joke - calling the contest "the third annual blink-off."
Jericho didn't appreciate the joke and immediately told Norton that he went too far, and that it was not funny. He explained that Reeve was his friend, and that he's got to stick up for his friends. Norton said he didn't realize that Reeve was his friend, but also defended himself - saying it was just a joke and that everything should be fair game in comedy. It got pretty tense between the two, but then Jericho loosened up and said he was mostly kidding, that he was okay with what Norton said, and to just move on. But Norton wouldn't let it go, saying that he could tell that Jericho was very upset about it. It got even more heated, when Jericho told Norton that it appeared that his (Norton's) feelings were hurt by some of Jericho's retorts. (He said his biggest problem with Norton's comment was that it wasn't a funny joke.) Opie then offered some context into why Jericho might be sensitive to Norton's joke - Jericho's mother was a quadriplegic.
The show pretty much grinded to a halt. It got so tense between Jericho and Norton that XM Radio's security guy came into the studio to make sure nothing happened (Jericho was offended by that, saying he was a professional and would never resort to violence.) This went on for at least a half hour.
They eventually got a topless girl into the studio, and things calmed down a bit, but there was an underlying tension for the remainder of the show.
For the record, I'm a big O&A fan and I enjoy Norton's humor, even if it is often tasteless. That said, Jericho was absolutely right in how he handled himself - sticking up for his friend, without coming off as self-righteous. He said what needed to be said, then moved on and seemed perfectly willing to have some more laughs. But Norton would not let it go, seemed overly defensive for being called out, and definitely came off bad.

I'm suprised no one picked up on it yesterday, I assumed everyone knew already. First off, the line was a gem. Secondly, Jericho was like, don't say this or else, so Norton was defensive there off the bat, he's not going to a wrestling match of Jerichos and tell him not to do flips. Also, Y2J has been on the show a few times, he should kinda know the humor of the show and especially know that it wasn't said to throw Jericho under the bus or be a dick to him. I can't say i think Jericho was wrong, but I'm also not going to pretend Norton had no right to say the joke or was wrong either. It was one of those times, just listening you felt awkward and uncomfortable. LOL, thrid anual blink off.

That truely was a cringe moment. I loffed and loffed.
Anthony tried to take a bit of the hurt away by saying he came close to making a comment.
