The Giants look pretty damn good today. Next Sunday's game will be a war.

That was one of the funniest things I have ever seen.
I mean, not only to choke up a 21-0 lead in the 4th quarter, but to do it in 10 minutes. It could not have been written to have a more flabbergasting finish. The Giants are a joke.

The thing is, if the Giants beat the Cowboys Sunday, they reclaim first place and have a far better division record.

Well, obviously, as a Cowboys fan, I hope not, but this season has been a roller coaster. Who would have thought the Giants would be in trouble after they kicked the Cowboys' asses on Monday Night Football?

I figured that. Just ball-busting.
And as a Cowboys fan, I'm seriously worried about Sunday's game. The Giants can do one of two things: tank, or come out angry and desperate. If they do the second, it will be trouble.
Plus, as good as Romo's been, he's due for some kind of adversity. I just hope it's not Sunday.

Yea..i mean can the season get ANY worse for the giants?
I guess it can, but at the same time i dont think they are THAT bad a team where they cant come out AT home and make a statement.

Tuna don't fuck around, do he? Mike Vanderjagt's short, but rocky tenure as the Cowboys' kicker is over. ESPN's Ed Werder reports that Dallas has released Vanderjagt and signed Martin Gramatica to replace him. The most accurate field goal kicker in NFL history, Vanderjagt, who signed a three-year contract worth nearly $6 million as an unrestricted free agent this spring, has converted only 13 of 18 field goals. That's only two fewer misses in 11 games than the nine-year veteran had in the past three seasons combined. In his eight seasons with the Colts, a tenure sometimes marked by petulance and marred by a long-standing feud with quarterback Peyton Manning, he converted 87.5 percent of his field goal attempts.

I think its fucking malarky that everyone is reporting that all is well in the relationship between Bill Belichick and Eric Mangini. Why? Because Belichick won yesterday, now he gets credit for making this big display about making some sort of extraordinary effort to congratulate Mangini. What about the public snub back in November? Fuck that bitch Belichick...he only acknowledged Mangini because he won. He'll get credit when he shows some grace and dignity in defeat...personally I think he's a punk and he doesn't have it in him.

I want to see the NFL show some guts and fine Belichick for shoving the photographer aside. Completely unwarranted.

Actually YES, that's true!!! Didn't Kenny Rogers cause a big stink and a lot of controversy over that very same thing? So what, since Belichick was running to congratulate Mangini, who he clearly resents, he gets a pass?

The Atlanta Falcons' quarterback, Michael Vick entered a concourse Wednesday morning at the airport with the 20-ounce bottle. He eventually handed it over and boarded his flight to Atlanta. But his initial reluctance to turn over the bottle aroused suspicion among airport security screeners, a police report said. The bottle was found to have a hidden compartment that contained "a small amount of dark particulate and a pungent aroma closely associated with marijuana," the report said. The compartment was hidden by the bottle's label so that it appeared to be a full bottle of water when held upright, police said.

This is classic:
CHICAGO -- Chicago school teacher Colleen Pavelka knows how much her husband loves the Bears. Apparently, she loves him even more.
Colleen chose to have the birth of their second child induced a few days early so Mark Pavelka could attend Sunday's NFC Championship showdown between the Bears and the New Orleans Saints.
The baby was due Monday. But when Colleen went in for an appointment Friday afternoon, her doctors told her she could opt for an early delivery. She decided to do so.
After nearly six hours of labor, 8-pound, 9-ounce Mark Patrick Pavelka was born Friday night.
Colleen Pavelka plans to catch the game on the plasma screen TV in her hospital room, while baby Mark Patrick is bundled up in the Bears receiving blanket his grandmother bought him for Christmas.

Here's what I don't get. Michael Vick has been cleared. How the hell has he been cleared. There IS a modified water bottle with a "secret compartment" and it DID contain a "pungent substance" consistent with the properties of marijuana and this modified water bottle WAS in Vick's possession. What's the case now...the substance wasn't marijuana? What....Michael Vick had a secret compartment water bottle made in order to transport a LEGAL pungent substance that is NOT marijuana? ? What the fuck happened here?

I bet the bottle is used for the purpose of carrying marijuana, and he simply had not loaded it yet.
Perhaps he was carrying the bottle aboard to load on the way home, and he did not want to put it in a bag where it would have been subject to check. He figured he would have been able to walk it through.
Sounds to me that the people that detained him KNEW EXACTLY what this thing was for, but when it was tested, there was not enough of anything showing in there to be able to nail him.

Ahh, so they found nothing but residue? He got off of a possession charge due to there not being enough to constitute one?
I wish the media would come out and say that, as opposed to being vague and halfway trying to convince us that Vick was mistakenly detained for no good reason.

Oh, this was not said at all. I am just making an educated guess. Sounds to me that they had him for something he should not have had, but did not have "enough" to nail him.
