Daunte Culpepper looked damn good tonight for the Dolphins......I'd like to see them get back to the postseason.

While I'm neither a Vikings nor Dolphins fan, I always liked Culpepper.

IDK about you but I'm tired of hearing about T.O. How about Tony Romo?
BUT, the one thing I'm glad they addressed in the Owens saga is the thing Parcells said either yesterday or the day before when he said he wouldn't put a receiver in the game who he's never really seen in a live game before (referring to t.o.)...Then Owens replied saying there is [glow=red,2,300]ten years of NFL film[/glow] available for him to look at......
......p.s. i just wanted to try that "glow" feature

The whole thing is if not TO can play football or catch the d**n ball, it's him putting in practice. Tuna knows he can play, TO knows he can play, but he's not going to if he keeps nutsting on Parcells like that. I think as soon as he does get on the feild, there will be no problems cause TO does what Parcells likes to do, and that's win.
As for Romo, he looked good, he's alright, for a backup. The way Bledsoe is passing to Witten and Glenn, screw TO.Plus Julius and Marion Barber will have good years too, bank on that.

I'm a Cowboys fan, and I hate the T.O. move, but since I have no say in the matter, I think once the regular season starts, he'll be fine. This is a one-year deal, though, no matter what the contract says. There's a better chance of my fat ass being on the Cowboys' roster next year than there is of T.O. still being there.
I'm fine with Romo as a backup. Losing Bledsoe would be damaging, obviously, but I think he can do the job.
Good riddance, Drew Henson, the only player in history who managed to SUCK for BOTH of my favorite teams. Prime Time was marginal as a Yankee but I have no complaints about his Cowboys tenure, other than him being terrified of contact.

9 how about Troy's induction to the Hall, very classy speech from a class act guy. I found myself somewhat emotional, close to but not shedding a tear. A few more Hall of Famers on the way as all that's left is 22, 88, Moose, and the entire O line. I am however liking the teams chances this season, the NFC east will be the tougest division in all the NFL.

The NFC East will be brutal this year. I could see Philly being the "worst" team in the division and managing to go 7-9 or 8-8.

Every NFL season, knowing going into it that the Raiders will suck, is an NFL season to look foward to!
There are no group of fans more deserving of a shitty season than these @ssholes!
Local Sports Talk radio is always hilarious to me. Steve Hartman, aka "Homer" announced today on AM570 that the Chargers will be the AFC Super Bowl representative, and that if the Chargers and Steelers played today, the Chargers would wipe up the field with them.

Luthor Campbell (yes, of 2 Live Crew fame) just told Stephen A. Smith that the Miami Dolphins are a racist organization because Dennis Green or Tony Dungee were never named head coach there.

So I guess that makes about 26 other teams racist, too.

Delhomme? What's wrong with Delhomme? I don't think Bulger's that bad, either. I'm not saying either one is Peyton Manning or Dan Marino, but I can think of far worse QBs, starting with Pennington (unless he gets his arm strength back).

I don't think Plummers one of the worst. I'm glad Brooks is on there I've always said he was overrated. I also think Leftwhich is just as bad. There's someone else that I'm forgetting but that list for the most part is fucking assanine in my opinion. Brunell, Brooks, Leftwhich, McNair, and Bulger would be my list.

I really jinxed myself with the above post. I have Plummer on my fantasy week and he might have single handily cost me week 1. Not to mention Shaun Alexander was shut down by the Lions as was Eddie Kennison by the Bengals. Thank God for the Bears Defense, now only if I can get some points tonight and tomorrow. The kicker is, and no way I could really know, if I were to put in Michael Vick, Tatum Bell and Eric Moulds I would have been in business. They were however, filling up space on my bench. As pissed as I am now, it's really good to have football back.

Very, very disappointing start for the Cowboys. They got thoroughly outplayed and outcoached for the last three quarters of the game after dominating the first quarter. I thought the O-line and pass rush had made dramatic improvements in the offseason. This couldn't be further from the truth. Parcells went ultra, ultra, ultra-conservative after the team took a 10-0 lead in the first quarter. You can't run clock for three quarters. Do what got you the 10-0 lead. Someone needs to remind him that this team has neither the strong O-line nor the dominant defense of the 1986 Giants. Another brilliant Tuna move: With the Cowboys already down a TD and Jacksonville driving, he challenged an obvious reception for no reason whatsoever and cost Dallas a time-out because whatever the hell he was protesting wasn't an eligible challenge. Smooth move. Someone also forgot to tell Bledsoe the team was wearing blue yesterday. This team has a lot of work to do.

I agree but not to the extent I'm worried. The schedule is a little weird, there really isn't a string of bad teams we play in a block of weeks, but Tuna even said the defense wasn't tested during the preseason and now they were. All it isn I think is just becoming a weel oiled team, have to click on all cylinders and this team should have no problem. I agree Tuna left it up to the defense to win the game after the 10-3 start. He did say TO will not be catching 90 balls this year, hopefully yesterday won't be a sign of things to come.

They waited until they were down two TDs with 3:00-something left to throw the ball downfield. If you have no intention of taking shots downfield, then why sign TO? Also, they started out throwing the ball, which cleared the way for Julius Jones' TD. Once they stopped throwing, they had no running lanes.

Absolutley agree, but with TO he's not going to get 90 cathces, I agree they need to air it out more, but if he's triple teamed everytime because they air it out, he isn't gonig to catch one. I'll admit Tuna screwed up a bunch of times, I'm not hitting the panic button yet, I still think as long as this team gets on the right track they should be fine. It's just good the redskins lost everyone is 0-1 except for Philly.

I'm not hitting the panic button, either, but the O-line and the pass rush need to improve dramatically, and they have six days. The Cowboys CANNOT afford to lose to Washington and drop to 0-2.
In the fantasy gripe department, I went into last night's Chargers-Raiders tilt needing a lousy five points out of LaMont (YOU BIG DUMMY) Jordan. He ended up with a whopping 20 yards rushing. Thanks for nothing. The Raiders are BRUTAL.

I want to assainate Jake Plummer and his family for that same reason. 24 friggin' points. Bad enough Alexander got shut down but this asshole throws two horrible intos. and lost a fumble, fucking killer.

Anyone need an ottoman?
CHICAGO -- It all started with a little trash-talking.
Randy Gonigam, a Kendall County furniture store owner and "huge Bears fan," got tired of players bragging about their defense, so he decided to put his money on it.
Over Labor Day weekend, Gonigam's World Furniture Mall in Plano offered customers free furniture -- up to $10,000 -- if the Chicago Bears shut out the Green Bay Packers in their season opener.
Four quarters, 206 customers and about $300,000 later, Gonigam is still a little shell-shocked.
"This is beyond our wildest dreams," he said.
The Bears blanked the Packers 26-0 Sunday, ending Green Bay's 233-game scoring streak and giving Brett Favre the first shutout of his 16-year NFL career.
The idea that it was a long shot didn't keep him from insuring the store for up to $300,000 worth of furniture with a company that specializes in insuring prize reimbursements.
Gonigam got the idea to offer full refunds over Labor Day weekend after hearing Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher brag that the team would have the best defense in the NFL this year.
"As a Chicago sports fan, you get frustrated," he said. "I thought, 'Prove it."'
Customer and expectant mother Kathleen Spayer, 40, went back into the store Monday to make sure her $5,000 master bedroom suite was really free.
"It's the luckiest year of my life," she said.
Plano is about 45 miles southwest of Chicago.

Running back swap: Samkon Gado to Houston, Vernand Morencey to Green Bay. ESPN.com says Gado couldn't pick up the Packers' zone-blocking scheme. From the looks of the shutout by Chicago, neither could their O-line.

God DAMN, this boy did some drinking:
SAN DIEGO -- Chargers linebacker Steve Foley had a blood-alcohol level of 0.233 percent, nearly three times California's legal limit of 0.08 percent, when he was shot Sept. 3 outside his home.

Man, I'm torn on my weekly football pick em tournament. I can't choose between Jacksonville and Indy.
I did well the first week, 10-6. But I shit the bed the second week. I need to come back strong this week.
Anyone wanna throw in their 2 cents on the Jax-Indy game, as well as the loser-bowl Titan-Dolphins game?
