Way to go!
Kind of saw this coming, him driving around at 7AM this past weekend.
Reports: Cleveland Browns' Donte Stallworth Was Drunk When He Struck Miami Man
MIAMI — A Miami television station and newspaper are reporting that blood tests show that Cleveland Browns wide receiver Donte' Stallworth was driving drunk when he fatally struck a pedestrian last weekend.
WSVN-TV reported Thursday that unnamed sources with knowledge of the investigation say that Stallworth's blood-alcohol level was between .08 and .16. The legal limit is .08. The Miami Herald also reported Thursday that an unnamed source says Stallworth's blood-alcohol level was above the legal limit.
The Miami Beach Police Department is refusing to confirm the reports.
No charges have been filed against the 28-year-old Stallworth. Neither his agent, Drew Rosenhaus, nor his attorney, Robert Switke, returned calls from The Associated Press seeking comment.
Victim Mario Reyes died Saturday after being struck by Stallworth's Bentley at 7 a.m. He had just finished an overnight shift at the Port of Miami and was walking to a bus stop.

NFL Receiver Reggie Williams Tasered, Arrested for Drug Possession
Monday, April 06, 2009
HOUSTON — NFL receiver Reggie Williams was charged with drug possession after off-duty policemen used a Taser to subdue him when he refused to leave a bar.
Houston police spokesman Kese Smith says Williams was impaired when he refused to leave a bar Sunday night. He struggled with two off-duty officers who tried to escort him out and one of them used a Taser on him.
Police say jail officials later found a small bag believed to contain cocaine in Williams' back pocket. He was charged on Monday with possession of a controlled substance and freed after posting a $2,000 bond.
In February, the 25-year-old unrestricted free agent was arrested in Houston on drink driving and possession of marijuana charges, which were later dropped. He played for the Jacksonville Jaguars last season.

when it's all said and done and there are careers to evaluate, Mark Sanchez will be the best NFL quarterback to come out of this draft.

Maybe. but he's still a risky pick. Wasn't he only the starter for one season?

"only the starter for one season" in a system that amounts to a heisman caliber QB assembly line isn't necessarily a bad thing.
And as a matter of fact, he may never have been a starter (see Matt Castle) if John David Booty had still been in the system.
But he's the real deal. I am sure that he will make a much better NFL QB than his Trojan predecessors Booty, Castle and Lienart....maybe even Palmer.

NFL Confirms Talks to Hold Super Bowl in London
A senior NFL official confirmed that 'substantive talks' have been held with London officials about holding the Super Bowl abroad, the BBC reported Friday.
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell has expressed interest in the past about bringing the game to London in an effort to expand the game to a global audience.
"We've spoken on what it would take to host and for us to bring it over," the BBC quotes events vice-president Frank Supovitz, speaking in New York City a day before the NFL Draft will take place there. "The city has all the facilities needed, and in great quantity."
Visit London, the city's official visitor organization, has long pursued a deal to bring the Super Bowl to the capital.
"Ever since the NFL began playing games in London we have been in discussions with the NFL about what is involved in staging Super Bowl from the host city perspective," the BBC quoted commercial director David Hornby.
While the venues for the next three Super Bowls have already been chosen, London appears to be a real possibility down the road.
The NFL has already had success there, with a regular season game at Wembley in 2007 drawing 80,000 fans to watch the New York Giants play the Miami Dolphins.

What a dumb idea. I think it's bad enough they're holding regular-season games over there.

Do we dare talk about this Brett Favre fiasco? Ugh! Come on! It's becoming a mockery. What is he thinking? Destroying his legacy in the process. I can't root for him. If he signs with the Vikings, he goes from my favorite team to my 3rd favorite team. I can't root for him.... at his age.

I personally think the Vikings would be much better off developing Jackson and another young QB than going for a one-year fix that might not fix anything at all. Anyone remember last year's Jets playoff game?

I hope Brett Favre plays for as long as teams are willing to pay him. His legend will be fine. Willie Mays' legend is fine. Joe Namath. Johnny Unitas. Michael Jordan. They all sucked down the stretch, played longer than they should have.
If some team is dumb enough to pay him, then he should go get the bank. God bless America.

Good going, Botox fiend Jerry Jones: Well over $1B on a new stadium, and an average punt hits the video board?

2 months ago I would have said something like it's going to be a tough year, I think I did say I had very little expectations this year. Now, after reading and seeing what I did during preseason, I have faith back in the Cowboys. Now, more than ever this team goes as far as Romo takes them. And he is in a tough spot, he doesn't have pressure in the sense he has to get a certain guy the ball, he can pass to whomever, whenever he wants. But that's why there will be pressure on him to be able to succeed and lead the team, now that it's his team, he has the freedom to do what he wants, but he has to do it right more than ever before, more than Tuna ever pushed him.
Good or bad year this year, I want Wade Phillips gone. I can't see the Boys going too far with him on the sidelines.

Romo played well today. But the defense is utterly God-awful. If they play like this next Sunday night, the Giants will bury them.

Death of NFL Star's Mother Ruled Suicide
Friday, November 20, 2009
GRANBY, Colo. — The death of the mother of New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees has been ruled a suicide.
Mina Brees, an attorney from Austin, Texas, died Aug. 7 while visiting Colorado. This week, Grand County coroner Brenda Bock concluded that she died of a prescription drug overdose and ruled the death a suicide.
Bock said Brees died while staying at the home of a friend in Granby near Rocky Mountain National Park.
It took longer than three months for a cause of death to be reached but Bock said that's typical for cases involving toxicology tests.
Relations between Drew Brees and his mother were strained at times and the quarterback asked her to stop using his picture in TV commercials touting her candidacy for a Texas appeals court in 2006.

Heres another lol. God, I love reading the paper.
From the USA TODAY - CHIEFS RECIEVER TELLS OF TEAMS LIASONS
"Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Dwayne Bowe tells ESPN the MAGAZINE that teammates arranged to have women meet them at a hotel during a road trip in his rookie season of 2007. Bowe describes a trip to San Diego where teammates "imported" girls they found on Myspace and Facebook. He said they would pick out the pretty ones and have them fly in 3 or 4 days in advance, filling the entire top floor of the hotel. The Chiefs declined comment Thursday."
