The Cowboys got manhandled on both sides of the ball. The game wasn't even as close as the score indicated.
My two gripes:
1) Why stop running the ball? The Skins were doing a great job against the run, but eight carries for Barber?
2) I don't know if this is Phillips/Garrett or Romo, but this team needs to stop trying to force the ball to TO every time they get behind.

I think it was Phillips/Garrett, after the 3 for 17 the week before, they wanted the ball in TO's hands more. But give credit to the skins on covering him, Springs was all over him. And I agree, there was no running game, and why does barber seem like he was better backing up Julius Jones than he does starting? As back up, he was nasty, now it's like every D doesn't back down to him. I say go with Felix more, but more important was the fact they should have gone to the no huddle much earlier, maybe even once in the first half. But to get shit going so late in the game, getting points too late in the game, even with the timeouts gone, if they do no huddle earlier they may not have to onside kick and leave themselves much more time on the clock. If they would have got that onside though, I have no doubt they would have scored. But it means shit now. If it was against the Bengals I'd be more mad, as much as I hate losing to the Skins, they can make up for it later in the year, when it will count even more for deciding the division. The East is fucking scary.

Springs did a Pro Bowl-caliber job on T.O. I'd nominate him for defensive player of the week, if that wasn't already done.

Al Davis has fired Lane Kiffin.
And, in typical Al Davis fashion, has informed Kiffin that he will not honor the rest of his contract.
Did this douche not learn his lesson after Mike Shanahan OWNED him both in court and on the field?

In a nutshell? Well, when I was young i had different family members trying to push me either to the Jets or the Giants. I wanted no part of it. Keep in mind I was never near the football fan I was the baseball, or even hockey, fan. Around that same time, while looking for options, the Redskins were winning. It was easy to run with that bandwagon (although it was not the only bigtime winning team at that time, Cowboys are another that comes to mind)
I also liked a lot of the players on the team through the years, and the legacy of the club. But it all started cause i grew up a Jet and Giant hater. As to the Jets and the Giants, if I had to choose I would side with the Giants, the Jets were always sorta the football Mets in my eyes.

The Jets are like the Mets. I didn't realize that when I first started following football. But it is true. That said, I never hated the Jets like I do the Mets.
I didn't actively root against them until Knoblauch annoyed me once, six years ago.

FOXNEWS.COM HOME > U.S. Vikings Star an Internet Sensation After 'Towel Malfunction'
EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. — Visanthe Shiancoe is having a breakout season at tight end for Minnesota. His national exposure is now at an all-time high.
Fox televised a clip of Vikings owner Zygi Wilf's postgame locker-room speech after Sunday's victory at Detroit, and Shiancoe was inadvertently shown naked in the background. He was wearing a towel that did little to cover him. The network apologized, but screen-grab images were all over the Internet.
Shiancoe wasn't available to the media Monday, but he joked with a gossip columnist for the Star Tribune of Minneapolis about it. "How'd it look?" he told the newspaper.
But Shiancoe's agent, Tony Agnone, told the St. Paul Pioneer Press that his client was embarrassed and hopes fans understand it wasn't intentional.

The J-E-T-S need that W this week in Seattle cause they play Miami in week 17 and the Pats have 2 easy games to close out the season. We better get in the playoffs.

Don't look now....
The Perfect Storm is converging:
The Chargers have a three-week window to investigate relocating
The Chargers have officially hired an L.A.-based marketing firm
Billionaire Ed Roski has received initial approval from the City Of Industry (about 10 miles south of Downtown L.A.) for help in the raising of nearly 800 million in funds for the purposes of building a football stadium.
I can see the ESPN Monday Night Football marquee now:

Fishing Boat Carrying NFL Players Reported Missing in Florida
The Coast Guard is searching the waters off the west coast of Florida for a missing fishing boat with two NFL players on board, officials said.
A friend reported Oakland Raiders linebacker Victor "Marquis" Cooper, Detroit Lion defensive end Corey Smith and Nick Skyler missing at about 1:30 a.m. A fourth, unidentified person was also on the boat.
The boat departed from the Seminole Boat Ramp in Clearwater Pass early Saturday morning and was supposed to return sometimes after dark, but never did.
A Coast Guard 47-foot motor-life boat crew from Station Sand Key, Fla., HH-60 Jayhawk helicopter and C-130 Hercules fixed-wing aircrews from Coast Guard Air Station Clearwater, and the Coast Guard Cutter Crocodile are searching a 750-square mile area west of Clearwater Pass for the missing boaters.
The Oakland Raiders signed veteran free agent Cooper, 26, on Nov. 5, 2008, according to his player's biography on the team's Web site. Cooper orginally entered the NFL as a third round draft choice of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2004.
He played in 26 games for Tampa Bay from 2004-05, one game for Seattle in 2006 and four games for Jacksonville and Pittsburgh in 2007. He has played in a total of 31 league games and has recorded 29 solo tackles.
The 29-year-old Smith is listed as an unrestricted free agent on the Lion's Web site. The Richnond, Va., native was a four-year letterman at North Carolina State and was signed by Tampa Bay in 2002.
He has been with the Lions since 2006, after a two-year stint with the the San Francisco 49ers

So do you think they just drowned or sharks ate them?
On a side note, I am upset that Ray Lewis re-signed with Baltimore. Hoping he was gonna come join the Jets.
What's gonna happen with TO? Dallas released him. Who's headache does he become next year? Truthfully I don't know if he's so special anymore. His skills have diminished but he's still definitely good enough to be someone's #2.

Those guys GAVE UP. Weak. I read that two of them simply removed their lifejackets and "drifted off" after only "between 2-4 hours out there." How do you GIVE UP??? The ironic thing is one of thier Dads, earlier, when they wanted to keep the search going said, "he will fight till the end...he will never give up wanting to be found...he has family...."
The other doof saw "a light" which was probably the Lord, and removed his jacket to SWIM FOR IT. And that was it for him. But at least he had a tangilble goal. The other two GAVE UP, removed the jackets, and DRIFTED AWAY!

You're thinking though that the account of the survivor is the truth. What if the survivor killed them to fight for the valuable boat real estate? You don't know. No one does.
