Boy, my San Diego pick really represented the other night. Yay!
Anyhoo, how bout those Skins! 2-0, a march into Philly and a win on the road. On National TV, no less. And now tossed a bone and the putrid Giants next week - a 3-0 start would be sweet.

One of the few times I will ever root for Philly was last night, I wanted the Boys in sole possession of first. But, I unlike many, think the Boys will beat the Bears next week, I will be happy with a 3-0 start in Dallas, considering then they move on to a pretty easy schedule. On a side note, the Cowboys are meeting with former Bear Tank Johnson today since they're pretty weak in terms of depth at nose tackle. Why does Jerry Jones love to take chances on players like him?
BTW, LOL at the New Jersey Giants and New Jersey Jets. The Jet fans have no class and the Giants are pathertic period. Nothing makes me happier to see Philly and the Giants fighting it out in the basement of the east.

The Cowboys' performance in Chicago last night was absolutely dominating.

what has happened to the Saints? They have such a great QB and such an explosive running attack but yet they are 0-3.

Is there anyone in the NFC who can stop the cowboys? Bills next week, the Pats in two, and in my opinion, that will be a Superbowl preview. And Romo is fucking nasty, the shit he does is sick.

How did I miss this?
Travis Henry, who may be facing a one-year ban for being nailed with greenleaf in the system, has fathered NINE CHILDREN WITH NINE DIFFERENT WOMEN???

Every week Dana and I make our football picks using the spread, and I keep the tally in a little book. Emma pitches in as well, and does ok. Anyway, its funny to see a little star next to the Patriots name on the POST line that we use on Sunday mornings, which is there for "CAUGHT CHEATING" as per the guide on the bottom.

That Cowboys game was one of the craziest games I've ever seen. I'm glad to get out of Buffalo 5-0, but I want the Pats badly to prove how serious the boys are eveb facing adversety and a disgusting 1st half.

That game will only help the Cowboys. Romo needed a kick in the ass. He thought every pass he threw would magically find its way to a receiver. He'll bounce back big-time. My biggest fear next week is Moss. That guy has owned us since he came into the NFL.

The Giants are 17-30-1 alltime on Monday Night Football.
Time to pull the plug on them, and stop featuring them so much.

Funny - listening to 107.7 "The Bone" out of San Fran this morning, and they were doing the sports report. Sometimes it must suck kazoo to live in Cali - they were talking about this weekends 49er / Falcons tilt - pregame on The Bone is slated for SEVEN IN THE MORNING on Sunday, with kickoff for the game at TEN IN THE MORNING.
Oh, and lol - while talking about the Raider game the same day they added that it is blacked out locally, as the team did not sell out the game. Sorry, folks, cant watch the locals.

People are probably HAPPY they can't watch the Raiders. I wish the Jets didn't sell out so I could watch a REAL NFL team without having to go to a bar.

Yeah, cause that game is not on locally they are getting to see the Patriots/Colts game they would not be able to watch if the Raiders were shown.

Try worrying about going to a bar that hasn't been taken over by Steeler supporters

Why hasn't anyone picked up on this? Got it off ESPN.com
Johnson set to play mostly first, second downs vs. Giants
IRVING, Texas -- Wearing a blue practice jersey and clutching his white Dallas Cowboys game jersey, Tank Johnson headed off for a photo shoot during his lunch hour Wednesday.
The club needed a fresh picture now that he's truly part of the team.
His half-season suspension over, Johnson is preparing for both his Dallas debut and his first game since the Super Bowl, when he started on the defensive line for the Chicago Bears. He's been practicing for a few weeks, but things are different now that he knows he'll be playing Sunday against the New York Giants.
"I'm ready to go," Johnson told coach Wade Phillips.
"You're going to be in the game, so you better be!" Phillips responded.
Johnson sure looked eager, being among only three players who practiced in their game pants. Impressions and words of others are all we have to go on, though, because Johnson said he won't be talking until after the Giants game.
Phillips said Johnson will play mostly on first and second downs, getting in for about one-third of the game in place of starting nose tackle Jay Ratliff.
"He's in the rotation," Phillips said. "I think he's got quickness and strength. We'll see where he is pass rush-wise. But if he will help us on the pass rush, we'll put him in there, too."
Jason Ferguson began the year as the primary nose tackle, then was lost for the season in the opener. Soon after, the Cowboys signed Johnson, whom they'd already been considering because of his talent and availability.
Why was someone so talented even available?
Well, since the Super Bowl, he'd spent two months in jail for violating probation on a gun charge. He got out and vowed he was aiming to become the NFL's Man of the Year, only to see his candidacy go awry when he was pulled over for speeding and tested for driving under the influence. Although charges were never filed, the Bears decided he was out of second chances and cut him. Once the season started, the clock began ticking on an eight-game NFL suspension related to the weapons charges.
He signed Sept. 19, accepting a deal with no signing bonus and a minimum salary; actually, he's only getting a prorated portion of it this year, about $255,000. It's quite a bargain considering he's a month shy of 26 and already established himself as a strong member of a strong defense in Chicago.
In Dallas, however, he's starting over. In many ways.
From the football side of it, he must find his niche in a unit that plays a different scheme than the Bears, featuring one defensive tackle instead of two. The Cowboys also have gone 7-1 without him.
"I haven't seen him play so I'm not going to get into, 'Oh, the defense is going to be even better with Tank' because we don't know what he can do," said linebacker Bradie James, the defensive captain. "Anything that he can do will be a plus. Hopefully he can come in and provide something."
If nothing else, Johnson will provide relief for Ratliff, who is a bit undersized compared to most jumbo-sized nose tackles.
"Jay being fresher will allow him to do more stuff on third downs," defensive end Chris Canty said. "It'll take some of the beating off him. So I think you'll see Tank's impact over the course of the season, with Jay being fresher toward the end."
Canty said Johnson also is doing a good job of blending into the locker room.
"There really wasn't much to it," Canty said. "In our group, you're either going to fit in or you're not. He's just come in and been himself. We've embraced him, the coaching staff has embraced him, hopefully the Dallas community will embrace him and he'll help us make some plays on the football field."
Added James: "It's all about how you play. If you play well, you'll be accepted a lot faster. That's what we're looking forward to."

I love how Don Shula is already in panic over the Patriots run, and throwing around the old spying scandal again. He wont rest unless there is an "asterisk" if the Pats run the table. Look, I hate the Pats more than anyone, but its kind of cool to see them get nailed at whatever they did, then go out without that help (seemingly so) and STILL kick ass.
They have a right to be arrogant, and Don Shula is a baby that his precious Dolphins may be knocked down a peg and have to share some accolade.

it was OK for coach shula to leave the field uncovered, in a miami rain storm, in 1983 prior to the AFC championship game to stop NY's freeman mcneil

Shula is an ass. Anytime any team comes close he starts in with some shit. It just helps his cause the Pats got nailed on cheating. He's a cranky old man, fuck him. I hope the Pats do it now just to piss him off and we don't have to hear about the fucking Dolphins anymore.

Two words Giant fans aren't down with...Tony Romo.
Let's look at this fairly. Romo is the best QB in the NFC. No matter what formation the Giants D put in front of him, he countered it successfully. And it isn't only against the Giants(who he's 3-0 against btw), better teams cannot stop him. Oh and the Giants have no clue how to cover T.O. It was horrendous how they couldn't contain him, well for you guys, for me it was hilarious. Yeah Shockey had his way, but no where close to the impact Owens had. The only New Jersey Giant I give a little credit to is Eli. Although that pick to end the game was fucking funny, he kept the midgets close for a little bit there, they hung in. But Romo is a level above Eli, Romo owns him and the rest of the Giants. Soon the boys will all but have the division locked up after a win against the skins, and the NFC after we beat the packers, a week after the blowout the jets will endure on turkey day. As a great coach once said, how bout them cowboys?

Well, I was looking forward to coming into work today to witness the reaction of the Stiller sheep on the heels of yesterday's loss to the Jets. Generally when a team loses the fans will either be irate or they will try to explain it away somehow. But Steeler fans are a different breed. Since there are so many front-running Steeler fans left over from the 70s, there are fans all over the place. Predictably, the fans dominated the Meadowlands yesterday, to the point where Kellen Clemens actually had to go to a silent count because of the noise, supposedly. So, of course, that's what they are bringing up now.
HELLO....YOU LOST.
Next, I'm sure, will be the coaching staff, and they'll probably blame Roethlisberger for something, even though he's the best thing going. Don't bother to mention how bad your boy Polamalu looks, or that the offensive line looked like a turnstile again. Where's Russ Grimm when you need him?
