TNA's ratings are actually going DOWN week to week, and they have settled under a 1 share. If they dont pick it up, forget the idea of a second hour, they may be fighting to keep their 1 hour! To give you an idea, ECW is getting 3 viewers for every 1 TNA has.

Well, when you dull the ratings with an out of shape Sting going after a stale Jeff Jarrett's title, you will not get good ratings.
It's funny how they are repeating WCW's mistakes.

Looks like I was wrong, both members of DX will be on ECW next week. What are the odds.

Wow Tonight's show was pretty shitty. I fuckin hate CM Punk, the striker /Sandman segment was a waste and the main event was mildly entertaing. why the fuck does this Mcmahon/DX shit have to spll over to ECW?Although Holly/RVD matches could be fun and i"m looking foward to that

Ratings. Plain and simple. And now, with Big Show as a cog in that cage, they have their reason to bring them over there. If the ECW fans had any balls, they would boo them.
Same old stuff from Striker, although it was cool to see him on the attack for once. Using the stapler on Sandman was a nice touch, although it certainly wasnt a New Jack stapler moment.

New Jack never used a desk stapler if I remember it was the staple gun...LOL..Of the three shows as far as the actual matches themselves I think ECW has the best matches. The main events each week are usually pretty good. I did get a chuckle out of "giggle juice" and occified.. Smackdown is good only due to Finley and Regal. I also am looking forward to the Oriental Redneck character.....RAW needs to give Armando a stable..He is hysterical....

Big Show has impressed me in ECW. He has been working great matches and bleeding, going through tables on the floor from the ring apron etc...

ECW TV deal has been extended through December 2007.
Success.
They will also be adding a weekly replay at a time and day to be determined for those who miss the Tuesday 10PM showing.

They need more titles I think. I agree with Capitan, Show is good, but having some other guys work main events maybe for Tag gold or the TV Title, I think that would add a little more intrigue. Will certainly help get other guys tv time.

I am sure all that is in the cards. But what sucks about the WWE umbrella product as a whole is the de-emphazation of titles and the like.
On that note, I actually read in this weeks Observer that the announcers were told not to use the words "strap" or "belt" anymore. It sounds too "old school and old fashioned." So if Edge smacks Cena with his belt, Ross will say 'he just clocked him with the title!" or something, and not the "he hit him with a belt!"

I still would like to see ONE champion, representing all 3 shows. One guy--the leader of the company, being the undisputed champ. He'll appear on all the shows. He'll fight at each PPV against a #1 contender. The other titles would still exist, so each show has a champion too. It'll never happen, but I'd like to see it.

Just got back from ECW/RAw and the show was good, just a little dissapointing at the end of the main event. Pretty much opens with Heyman bragging how he and he alone got ECW to MSG. Tons of heat, good promo and then Sabu comes out, beats up Heymans security(I read it was the Bashams, then I heard it changed but now I think it's back to the Bashams) and goes after Heyman. Heyman says he just steped in it and says his match vs Big Show for the title will be under extreme rules.
First match was RVD vs Holly. One of the top 5 loudest pops of the night was for RVD. Just back and forth for awhille, Holly hit a few spots, RVD hit most of his and when it looks like he's going to hit the 5 star, Stevie Richards runs in, gets a kick to the mouth, Knoxcomes in and gets taken out until Test comes in and lays out RVD. All the hells go to work with the boots to RVD till Dreamer and Sandman come out to huge pops and clear house and the ECW origianls stand tall.
CM Punk squashed Shannon Moore in like 3 and a half minutes. Punk was really over with the crowd. Also somewhere in the show a backstage promo airs with Punk, Kelly, and Knox. Fans of the OVW and DSW will like this.
Then the debut of Rene Dupree which saw him get a win over Balls Mahoney after Thorne interfered.
Then the main event saw Show use his size til Sabu got s hold of some weapons. At one point it looked like Show was gonna slam him throgh a table but Sabu countered into a nice looking DDT through the table. Sabu covered and MSG thought it was it but let out a big moan when Show kicked out at 2. Sabu then sets up another table outside. gets Show on it, sets up a chair in the ring, goes for the triple jump leg drop through the table when Show catches him in mid air and choke slams him through the table instead. He throws him back in for the Cobra Clutch backbreaker then gives him the leg drop across the neck for the 1..2..3. Show closed with Heyman laughing.
Other notes from Raw, the crowd was fucking nuts for the 6 man tag. I have no clue how many chants got through but there was "Fuck you Cena" chants, "Cena swallows" chants, "Go to Smackdown" chats and deuling Lets Go Cena/Cena sucks. One of the hottet crowds ever.
Some chicks in front of me were pissed because I kept ripping the faces, which also brought on the wrath of the little ones, but thse girls were annoyed. They danced to every single theme song, they'd cheer for the faces but sing along to Randy Ortons theme song. I fucking layed into them with this is no fucking club, Go drain Ortons sack, she was even on the phone once goung on and on, " I saw Kane, and Viscera, Edge, Johnny Nitro...." etc. I had no choice but to just start with the get off the phone chants and procedded to yell in her ear as lously and obnoxiously as I could. Someone yelled out Hogan knows best and I yelled Hogan sucks Balls which got me booed like i set foot in the stadium again. Everyone got all sentimental for Trish and I was buzzed just yelling Show your tits, Youre a hole, lick her snatch, which upset parents and females alike. One dad gave me shit about cursing although he was fine with his 8 year old chnting Vince sucks Cock. I told him you dont want your kid cursing let him watch raw at home. People would stand up in front so I had to stand and someone told me to sit down and I'm like I will when I can see, the fucking nerve on people. Don't wear whte after labor day, don't swim after eating and don't stand at a wrestling show? For fucks sake.
The one thing I didn't get was why a deuling chant of lets go yankees/lets go mets broke out. I started chanting lets go rangers, it's not even the world series yet and in the middle of a match there has to be some baseball chant. Fucking animals.

Check this out....just weeks after signing Scott Armstrong as a referee for the ECW brand, the WWE has signed Brad Armstrong...as an ECW wrestler.
I LIKE IT. He's a lot older...Hell, he was wrestling in Georgia in 1980, for Christs sake, but he can go, from all accounts, to this day. They are looking at him as a reliable hand who can bring out the best in some of the young talent they are going to be pushing.
Friggin' Brad Armstrong. I have always been a fan. I will raise a glass to this, although I am sure it will be met with apathy in most circles.

Tracy Smothers is the man.
But he's not in "good graces" with the WWE pipeline, although that has not stopped them before from bringing guys in. Around the time JBL beat up Meanie on One Night Stand, Smothers had some awful things to say about JBL, and pretty much challenged him to a "shoot." JBL and the WWE laughed him off. I think he wrote his ticket everywhere but the WWE.

I'm digging the CM Punk/Shannon Moore fued. Moore jobs two weeks in a row, so Moore will sneak a win in sometime in a heel like fashion.
LOL @ Rene Dupree calling himself extreme and doing moves off the bottom rope.

No one is going to buy into Dupree, who does that appeal to besides Vince?
I can't wait for Knox and Punk, and Kelly Kelly in the middle of all this. I also love the fact she says shes 19 HA! I'd also like to see Punk in a Extreme Rules match soon, maybe give him a main event rub so he can show off more of his offense.

I'm buying into Dupree. It's killer comedy. He swears he is the most extreme, and he will do the least extreme moves week to week. That's a HILARIOUS gimmick.

Kelly Kelly IS 19. She is a known magazine model named Barbie Blank. You can tell she is 19 simply by the deer in the headlights look on her face whenever she comes out.
I'm with Grover on Dupree, especially cause he does his goofy French Tickler dance, which provokes hostility in the crowd.

The dance I love, and I don't think it's bad, just one of those gimmicks that won't get by. For awhile he'll get win after win not doing anything, then Sandman or Dreamer will run into him, cane the shit out of him and thus bury him. Just my prediction. I mean how long can he get away with not doing anything in the ring except that funny ass dance?
