But he IS doing things in the ring. Like an elbowdrop off the bottom rope!

Yeah, and that's the point. He's saying he's the most extreeme wrestler in ECW EVER, and he's doing the weakest moves. He's going to be a HEAT machine.

I know, but not Spirit Squad heat, it won't be real heat, it will be go away heat. Not at first but people are going to get sick of him fast. Same with Moore if they dont show off more of his moves too, 4 word promos won't cutit for long either. I may be wrong but just my thinking.

It wont be "go-away" heat. Bottom line, for pro wrestling work you need "heels" for the "good guys" to feed off of. This guy is an ENTERTAINING heel. The Miz is an ENTERTAINING heel. Someone like Jarrett, despite being one of MY favorites, is a guy that has go-away heat, in that people are tired of him.
As for Dupree and Miz and other guys like that, they are not pushed to the moon, so its not as easy to get tired of them.

Fuckin' A, that RVD/Holly match tonight was one of the TV matches of the year for me. Lots of daredevil spots, which I usually yawn my way through, but there was also a healthy dose of wrestling psychology. That gash in Holly's back was nasty, it actually made me grimace a few times. What a slice. 19 minutes, never boring. Good show.

That was a really good match. I enjoyed last nights show, I think one of the better ones ever.
I am a real big fan of this type of hour show. Opening in ring promo or backstage interview, big match that gets a commercial break, promo, secondary short match, main event. It's similar to how the old ECW hour shows would be on MSG back in the day just the matches are worked WWE style. I liked last nights show, I especially liked the backstage interaction between CM Punk and Knox.

Awesome match between RVD & Holly. It was good to watch a good, long match that progressed well. Overall it was a solid show.

RVD better get the belt back at the December PPV, if not sooner. He could easily have 5 star natches every week. And when the other guys like Punk and other younger guys they bring up who get good pushes ECW will easily have the best WRESTLING matches than any other show. In my opinion they already do. Amd that's not counting last mondays raw.

Eh...ECW also has a lot of crappy garbage matches. Not all of their matches are gems, not by a longshot. In fact, TNA CONSISTENTLY has better matches, from beginning to end of show. And to add to that, the RVD/Holly match was by far the best match I have seen on ECW TV, and the Knox/Test vs Dreamer/Sandman match from a few weeks back was great fun, but there have been a TON of stinkers.
The Knox/Punk backstage angle was very well done. Knox is still clumsy but I can see where Punk's vaunted internet repuation for this sort of thing comes from now.

I don't think there's been a bunch of great matches on ECW, but I think it has the potential to when they really get the ball rolling with ECW. It's been good shows top to bottom for the past couple of weeks overall. I also think Show has has some good TV matches as well, especially after RVD was suspended. And I was comparing the ECW shows, TNA to me is completely different, the 5 sides bug me.
Punk is awesome. He's even better as a heel, which is something I can't wait to see him do. If/when they bring in more titles, Punk would be awesome for the TV title.

I think they have had a few very solid matches. Some may not have been in the "Old ECW RVD/Jerry Lynn" mold, but they have been entertaining, and that's what's been important.

Justin Credible has been fired. By fax, no less! Fax sent from Talent Director John Laurinatis.
Word going around is he must have pulled some crap to get himself into the doghouse, as a few weeks ago Vince himself went out of his way to praise him backstage for a match he had on ECW TV, and Vince apparently NEVER does that. Credible was also used a lot in the early episodes, so they were relying on him in some ways. But now he is gone.
He must have run afoul.

Well, part of the reason near as I can tell is he went "AWOL" from at least a couple of shows. Thats enough of a reason right there. So, all you marks, we dont want to hear it.

Jerry Lynn was at least a good wrestler. I don't mind that he finally got the strap after going all out vs. RVD for months.

The RVD/Test match was fantastic last night. RVD tooka ton of bumps and chair shots, but they were spaced out well so it didn't come off as corny. Solid show again.

yeah it was pretty dumb, and really annoying when they went to split screen DURING matches so we could see Kelly take off her fuck me pumps.the only positive out of that was Balls mahoney as the dealer I'm sure the Divas loved looking at balls' Meth teeth.

Dave Scherer reports that starting soon the ECW brand will no longer be treated as a seperate company but rather as the 3rd brand of the WWE. Little minor changes such as the women swtiching from being called Vixens to Divas and the males from Extremists to Superstars will take place. There has also been some discussion about removing the ECW logo from the screen and replacing it with the WWE logo. Alot of this is Kevin Dunn's doing. He thinks the fans are confused and don't realise that ECW is a part of the WWE and he says thats the reason for the low ratings. Also expect the product to be toned down alot. Vince McMahon is not a fan of hardcore wrestling and he hated the RVD vs Test match.
thank you gerweck.net

Kein Dunn appearntly. Makes no sense to me, the whole ad they have on Sci fi proclaims ECW as a new breed. A new breed with the WWE logo? How is that new or different? But that doesn't bother me as much assthe extremeist thing, how about they all call them wrestlers? Oh and there's only one harcore match a night, so thats getting toned down, it goes from 1 to 0? Why not just make up a show name instead of ECW? How about Tuesday Turmoil? How about they call the show Hardcore and show no hardcore mathes? That won't confuse people.

Well, the bottom line appears to be that ECW draws its highest ratings when established WWE talent "visits" the brand or gets involved in the show. ECW by itself is not a ratings winner, and it never was. For all the love ECW gets by the hardcores (myself included) its ratings on cable were always bottom of the barrell.
Vince and Dunn apparently believe by taking off the shroud and just coming out and saying, "look, this is WWE too!" the fans that go and watch when they find out Booker T, John Cena, Edge and others are on there will gravitate over there.
Bottom line is this - the casual viewer trusts and watches the WWE brand. ECW...not so much.

Show really looks bad. I know his back is out of sorts, and its showing. Its dissapointing, after he had that good string of matches during the early ECW shows, against guys like Flair and Taker. Now he looks like a lumbering buffoon.

The Wrestling Observer is reporting that as of this weekend, a decision has been made within WWE for no more ECW House Show events to take place after the end of November. The ECW brand will still have TV every week for "ECW on Sci Fi" and ECW wrestlers and feuds will likely continue on other House Show events.
