Is it still HHH killing everyone? I got so sick of seeing the "cerebral assassin" sledgehammer Chris Jericho every fucking week. I don't really mind the outlandish scenarios but once it turned into the HHH show and The Rock decided movies would pay more and hurt less I just couldn't bring myself to care anymore.
Plus Rutgers killed my favorite hangout to watch, there was a restaurant with like a 5-foot screen that they'd show RAW on every week. Awesome crowd and good, cheap food so of course they turned it into a fucking study room. Whatever.
I'll give it a shot on Friday and Monday...

I like the Wayans brother reference with Cryme Tyme. That's exactly what is was like. Reminds me of the all gang olympics when you'd see events like running with TVs.
That said, I do have to question Sancho referring to the WWE as "the E." What's up with that?

Balls- I always used to call the WWF "The Fed" for short, i think i picked that up from calling the BlackHeart wrestling hotline back in like 98. anyway I'd call WWF that or "the Whiff"evenutally "the Fed " got shortened to "the F" and with the name change a few years ago i just call em the E.

Fuckin' A, I used to love me some BlackHeart hotline. I got on good with Matt Zombie. Knew him from the bus trips, and he and I would talk Freebirds all the time. A couple of tapes in my collection came from winning contests he would run off the hotline. I also did a guest appearances going over a Raw one night with him.

He has nothing to do with any of the hotlines anymore, huh? Damn, I even called once during my honeymoon, while sitting by the pool.
Tim Arson.....better known as "The Zombie!"

Vince McMahon apologized for the comment by Matt Striker on Tuesday's show that referenced the death of Steve Irwin ("Crocodile Hunter") via stingray sting. He wrote: "We at WWE apologize for the remark alluding to the death of Steve Irwin which was made on ECW on Sci Fi Tuesday night. The remark was, in the least, disrespectful to Mr. Irwin's fans and family."
For those of you not "in the know" - the line was scripted, and Striker was simply saying what he was fed.

Three veterans return to WWE September 15, 2006 WWE will be utilizing three ring veterans to help younger talent develop their skills in the ring. Rodney Mack, Marty Jannetty and Brad Armstrong have been chosen to work with WWE over the next several months. In addition to working with the younger talent, Mack, Jannetty and Armstrong may also have the opportunity to join WWE fulltime, according to officials. wwe.com

Its amazing how many chances he gets. Last go-round they were hot for him to come back, but it turns out he had parole issues to where he could not work in certain states. It would have been a hassle working around his road schedule, of where he could and could not go. I guess that stuff has been cleared now. Its funny that Janetty is on the way in, and from many accounts Michaels is on the way out (for some much needed knee surgery)

I thought I had posted that about 15 minutes before, but apparently not. I'll give you some reasons, though. For one, Undertakers best buddy for years. Its probably a favor to some point. Secondly, one of the most popular guys in the back. Willing to teach, a good hand. Vince likes him. He's a big guy, which does not hurt. I personally like the guy, but I know I am not the normal fan base.
They are looking to bring in solid veteran guys who can help school the youngsters in some much needed in-ring stuff, and out of ring etiquette.

Any chance Teddy Long lays a screw job on John Cena Sunday night, costing him the match and sending Cena to Teddy's Smackdown?

Unforgiven could be PPV of the year. Lot's of good matches, lots of stipulations, it really could be the best ppv all year.
Trish vs Lita is a tough one for me. While I can see them giving Trish one more title win, and she vacates it right there. But whos the belt going to go to should she win, right back to Lita? Mickey? You also have to take in the match from Raw, that could weigh heavily on booking this match. My Pick: Trish one last time.
Kane vs Umaga is a big man match I usually hate but I'm interested in this match. The longstanding monster vs the best booked monster in WWE. My Pick: Umaga stays undefeated.
Randy Orton vs Carlito could be one of those great sleeper matches. Everyone is looking forward to other matches this one has to potential to suprise a lot of people. Also, this is a big match for both, to see how they want to book them going into next year. My pick: Orton by crook.
The Tag match everyone seems to like. A lot of people are into the Highlanders, but I don't see anything that special. My Pick: Spirit Squad retains the Tag gold.
The IC Title match could be another really good match, except Jeff Hardy is blowing too many spots, Johnny Nitro might have to carry Jeff most of the match. While Hardy hasn;t been that sharp and I could see WWE keeping the belt off him for a while, my pick: Jeff Hardy to become new IC champ.
TLC Championship match. We've seen this match a hundred times, and it almost always had the same end. But with TLC, it makes it 100X better, considering, Cena loses he goes to the C show, I mean Smackdown. They've done a really good job, keeping people guessing that is, as to whos going to win. Edge because Smackdown needs a star. Or was it just to get Edge to put the title on the line one more time. I'd like to think it's to send him to SD, but who knows. My Pick: Edge (hopefully).
And, the Hell in a Cell. This one is easy to book. Heels got the last laugh on Raw so the faces need to bounce back. Look for HBK and Shane to take some sick bumps this one. Should be a fun match with Big Show adding a extra ingredient. I wonder if they'll make the rook of the cage a little taller for Show? My Pick: DX. But this may also be the time we find out of they'll be doing nWo vs Dx so the finish will be important I think.
Overall, it looks really good on paper. Let's see if they can deliever. Tomorrow is a packed day of sports.

Looking forward to the show. Ordering it too, as I found someone to cut costs with in the personage of Midget Mike. Expect the Toronto crowd to be a factor of sorts, they are always at the center of the hoopla, and are quite the rabid bunch.
I'll be back on in a bit with a preview of my own, methinks.

I almost forgot a LOL moment at Raw last monday. Reading what I wrote for the IC stuff when Nitro was doing his interview and Hardy started painitng, Nitro goes over and kicks his painting, and Jeff, as pissed off as he can make himself sound, he very timidly says Hey that's my painting man"!. LOL, I was rolling, it was such a faggoty thing to say.
It reminded me of the time Michaels first came back and they were tryign to get him to put over Jeff and HBK ghives him the pep talk on how to get noticed and get to the top and how he did it. Jeff than barks out, I'm gonna start kicking some ass around here...staring with you. He runs at HBK full speed and almost takes his head off in one smoothe motion hitting sweret chin music. I think it was a few weeks after that they fired him.
No matter what, HBK won't be out for long. Any time he takes of means less tiem he can wrestle before he hangs it up again. And fuck the storyline, if they give Trish some fucking classy bon voyage, the one person who deserves it is Michaels. The man wrestled for Vince with a borken back and afer Austin beats him he just fades away like he was never there. Taker takes off every other month, Austin always walked out on Vince when he didn't want to do something, The Rock wanted to leave to go do movies, they don;t deserve a sendoff. But if they think Trish deserves it Michaels more than deserves it.
But this belongs in the tidbits thread I guess.
Also, I change my pick from Orton to Carlito, no way so many heels are winning plus Ortons being punished I read, still acting like a jackass. Also, the damn highlanders are going to win, but I hope not.

Looking forward to Raw tonight. Want to see which new directions, if any, they go with certain people. Hoping the McMahons will be off the tube for a few months, selling the beating from last night, unless they have the NWO up their sleeve.
Liked the PPV, and poking around it was a common sentiment. Strong stuff. The wrestling itself was very good and never boring, and there were moments to remember like a few of the Cena/Edge spots, and the McMahon/Big Shows Butt sequence. I liked the show and did mind throwing some money towards it, and I dont say that often when it comes to PPVs, no matter how much I have liked the TV product, pretty much.

So I was thinking to myself last night about the look Triple H gave Cena, I wonder if that's going to mean anything. I didn't much it till I saw a fan write in the same thing at PWTorch. Could the heel turn be up coming or is that just the stuff WWE lies to put out there that never gets mentioned again, or was it Triple H being smart and giving him a look acknowledging their feud from WM? Maybe it's somethign that shouldn;t be overlooked. Overall I liked the show, and I may be in the minority but it covered or mentioned the angles from last night, while still leaning in that direction or introducing some stuff. I really enjoyed the 6 pack challenge. If that's a glimpse at the IC Title picture, the only one missing was Shelton Benjamin. We could see some good stuff there. And who knows what's up now with Vince/Shane and DX and Cena and Edge, cause nothing was really settled so it looks like more from those two.
Also on a funny note, right after Raw went off the air I got an IM from a friend who's just a casual wrestling fan actually says to me Cena is joining DX. And I can't go into details why that's very unlikely,(not at all impossible, but we know why he shouldn't be) so I'm just like, he doesn't need to be in DX to get over, it's not a faction thing, yet, it's just them wearing DX shirts acting like 8 year olds, and he kept iming me back idk man. I'm like he's not, it's one night cause of a match, it doesn;t mean shit he was doing the crotch chops with them, idk man, then I lost it. Yeah cause you would know, I only watch and read about this shit every day, you watch Raw twice a month and you know more than me sure, sure. Ric Flair was doing the crotch chop shit too one night at a house show, he isn;t in DX. Hogan did it at Summerslam he isn;t in DX, he does a few chops and you know Cena is joining DX and I don't know. Then he got all emotional and pissed wondeirng why I have to be such a dick, whatever, I told him I'd mail him some tampons. I'm gonna laugh if they do put him in DX but it's not likely that will happewn, just funny a guy my age who's a cena fan like the 10 year old kids and the 15 year old girls tired telling me Cena is the newest member and gets all upset when I tell him to shut the fuck up. I know that was just a big waste of time, me writing it and you reading it, but I still found that amusing and still do for some reason.

Lots of guys make "guest shots" with DX, including Flair on the road. You're right...nothing to it. I also dont think there is anything to HHH and his act towards Cena...thats probably just HHH "peeing on a tree and claiming his domination" and there is a lot more reality to that than wrestling fantasy.
Cena does not need DX, and DX does not need Cena.
As for last night, I am selfishly happy to see Cade and Murdoch getting any kind of push. Murdoch is just so different to todays cookie cutter grapplers that I am happy to see him break out of the box. Whoever is writing Maria's stuff has had too many helpings of corny flakes in the morning. I mean, we know she is supposed to be "dumb" but those "Tonight Show cohost" and "Super Bowl quarterback" lines were LAME.

This and the Crime Tyme bit is nothig more than a clear example how childish WWE and Vince can be. It's not entertaining, it's not funny, it's sad. Give me shit for not being that sick of Dx but there are some areas in WWE that are just overkill.
And people thought ECW was going to be the worst.

I think its sort of funny too. But I understand some dont find it funny. But to be offended by it like many is absurd. People need to lighten up. I suppose its funny when Dave Chappelle does it, but offensive when Vince's sketchy writing team does. The stuff is so over the top its worth a groan at best. Also, for now its taking up, what....2 minutes of TV time in a 2 hour show? People need to get a grip.

Yeah but now Shelton is going to have a race thing, I don't find it offensive, it's so over the top that it isn't even funny, and to make a comparison of what you see on Raw compared to Chapelle is also silly. Chapleele was acting out his stand up routine, Vince just decides to go after every sterotype and piss on everything. It has nothing to do being funny or offensive, it's Vince feeding his ego and it's really nothing more than filler to me.

Well, I see it differently. Shelton is going nothing right now. The fans sit on their hands whenever he comes out on the ramp. I have no problems with the WWE doing something to make him a "character." Like the angle or not, it will get heat regardless. Shelton HAS been underused. Its cause he is bland, not necessarily cause of race. But if they want to make a story out of the race thing, I am fine with it.
Its wrestling. There have been African headhunters, evil clowns, garbagemen and plumbers, Yetis, it goes on and on. Lighten up. It is what it is.
