In stunning news, the WWE released The Boogeyman today.
He could not wrestle for shit, but he made me laugh here and there. He must have done something to piss someone off recently, cause they had started to run ads for his return recently, after he has been out for a good while due to injury.

I hated the Boogeyman. Dumbest character in years.

Well, now that we are talking of it in past tense, I will say this - I expected much worse from what I read about him before his vaunted debut. Well, not in the ring...he never showed anything in the ring, he was painful to watch there. But the guy had charisma, cut some of the most memorable promos in years, and really popped a crowd. Looking back, I will hoist a glass for the man.
Turns out there are a few reasons for his jettisoning. WWE was not happy with his "commitment" to get back into the ring, he has been nursing his wounds for far too long in their eyes. He is also no one with any kind of future in the business...aside from the fact that he could not wrestle worth a damn, he is 42 years old.

LOL!!
I'm glad he's gone, now his gimmick will not get old and we can still look back at it and laugh. Man those were some silly bits.
I like the thing they got going with the younger guys and the IC title. I just hope Nitro, Orton, and Masters can get better on the mic.

I think you forgot the man who needs more help than Shelton and that's Jeff Hardy.
"That's my painting man" LOL, come on, as bad as the writers are they didn't come up with that one.

With all these major announcements going on, the WWE is plugging this weeks Monday Night Raw with a "dont miss the first 10 minutes of Raw!" tagline, as something big is going down. Apparently they will be announcing who will be "in charge of Raw with the McMahons out" at that time.

A returning Bischoff to introduce the nWo, but that'swishful thinking. Would be pretty cool though.

Nah, again, its going to be who is running WWE with Vince on the shelf, licking his wounds. Hey, maybe THAT is Bischoff...his book is due to come out in a couple of weeks...what good timing. Maybe Vince will bring him back and Bischoff will reward him with just that, the NWO. Well, time shall tell. DX will be running a tag-team gauntlet Monday against 3 teams....figure Cade and Murdoch, maybe the Squad....who else?

If it does happen and a DX nWo feud happens for a while, to end the feud have nWo turn on Vince so the clique can have the last laugh and say they can run shit now just like you they did back then. But the obviously they all go seperate storylines but that'd be a good way to end it. You think they drag this out to WM?

From all accounts i read this is a shorterm thing, if it happens. It may only be ONE match, a "dream battle" at Wrestlemania, even. And, no, the Clique will NOT get the last laugh...why would Vince give them that?

Nah, they are still saying that this will end with Michaels going to get that knee surgery he has been putting off, and HHH swung into a feud with Randy Orton, if Orton gets his head straight. There are no plans for the obvious HHH/McMahon pairing.

Not considering this too much a Spoiler as WWE.COM is reporting it themselves, but Eric Bischoff is backstage at Raw, and will obviously play a part in tonights proceedings. He will most likely be the GM with McMahon out of commission, as we addressed. Where do we go from here....tune in and find out!

Well, to sum it up in a short spate of words....Kurt Angle jumped feds, Vince Russo is back and writing TNA, and Eric Bischoff looks to be headed back to an on-air role for WWE, mainly as a means to promote his book.

A big letdown last night. Very dissapoiting. A really good ppv, a semi decent Raw and now it's just all shit. It seems like this one got mailed in as to prepare for the big homecoming thing or whatever. They got to step it up.

Garbage show.

So far, I've only watched the first 10 minutes of Raw. Nothing happened. Edge and Lita came out? Yeah, THAT was different.

I think part of the don't miss the first 10 mins of raw was fucked over by the power outage. I think a lot of shit got altered and had to be switched and done differently on the fly. At first I thought it was a work, maybe nWo but the first match should have gone longer but they had to cut it short because no one could see anything. I may be wrong, but I find it hard to believe they'd hype the first 10 mins just to show what Balls said, Edge and Lita walk out, whoopty damn doo. Even it involved those two/three(Cena), it had to be more than what actually aired. I did like that Bischoff mentoned there would be no DX without nWo(this will get me shit but I don't 100% buy that). Bischoffs spot seemed too rushed, like did most of the show. I think he was supposed to say more, give indication at a bigger role but didn't have enough time. Again, this could all be hype just for Raw in 3 weeks than anything.

Apparently it was only on USA Network ads where the "dont miss the first 10 minutes!" hype was being spewed, so although there is some sentiment the blackout screwed things up, there is other sentiment that it was just an age-old attempt to lure viewers in.
The Bischoff thing was what it was, it did not appear rushed to me. Right now the word is it was a one-shot just to promote the book, but I dont buy that. The book does not even come out for another month. Why push a book that people cant even buy for another month, and then not plug it anymore?
I also disagree with the NWO/DX thing...there WOULD have been a DX, but they only became a gang of sorts well after NWO was running roughshod. Trust me, I am going through my 96 tapes now....NWO is the hottest thing in wrestling, and HHH is still running around trying to keep Mr Perfect from stealing his girl. DX came well after NWO had already become the thing that was driving wrestling ratings. The more I think about it, the more I think not only were Hunter and Michaels borrowing from their buddies, but a lot of the "chaos" that they bought to the show came directly out of mimicking what was going on over on the other wrestling program.
NWO came first.

Well, looking at the Bischoff commercial that aired a few minuts ago, in nWo style, kinda leaves the impression there's more to it. He's going to have an on air role.
I know nWo came first, but even if there was no nWo there would have been a DX. And the frist DX was better than nWo anyway, even though the attack on WCW DX did was pretty funny. If you don't like it, you know that rest!

NOTHING was as good as the original NWO. The first 3 or so months of the NWO are untouched in the annals of wrestling history. From the birth with Hall, then Nash, Hogans incredible turn, to the shocking jump by The Giant, followed up by Bischoffs own turn. You can even throw in the fake Sting saga. The beatdowns and the way they ended the shows week after week....nah, THAT was the ultimate. The early DX stuff was comedy compared to this.

The fun never ends!
Apparently Theodore R Long will be making a "major announcement" this afternoon at 3PM. This will be posted on WWE.COM.
Can't wait.

LOL! It will not live up to the hype, that's for sure.
I agree with the first few months of the nWo. That was one of the best storylines EVER.

Seriously, to say early DX was better than early NWO is asinine. What, HHH and HBK getting screamed at by Sgt Slaughter while wearing visors with windshield wipers on it beat the NWO kicking ass in the ring while being pelted with all kinds of garbage?

DX in it's prime does not even come close to nWo in it's prime. No way. NO ONE ever ran things like early nWo. Nash and Hall coming to WCW the way they did turned things on it's ear. DX never had that impact.
