Balls, you can't compare a cartoon performance to a live action performance. That's crazy talk.

I'm going to watch this again this week. Probably in my top 5 of all time favorite movies:

Guy Ritchie's latest offering - RockNRolla
VERY good movie....not as good as Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels or Snatch....but still quite good.
GREAT soundtrack!

I want to see that. It would be cool if Jason Statham went back to being in cool movies and not really cheesy 16 year old boy movies... Speaking of! This is the last movie i saw:

Is there any question as to how GREAT a movie the Godfather is?
I own the set on DVD, yet whenever it's on TV, I will inevitably shut down everything I'm doing and watch. And forget the shoot-em-up aspect. The dialog in that film is genius.
It was on last night and I watched it....and they did quite a disservice to the Untouchables, showing it immediately after the Godfather. How the hell do you follow that.
Watching the Godfather always makes me hungry for Italian food and wishful that I had pursued a romantic career in organized crime.
You have to answer for Santino, Carlo.
Awwww, that little farce you pulled with my sister...you think that could fool a Corleone.
.....Today I settle all family business, so DON'T tell me you're innocent. It insults my intelligence.

I had never seen My, Myself, and Irene until this weekend. Pretty funny.
I also watch Baby Mama. The 3/4 of the movie or so, was pretty good. But I was highly disappointed in the fact that Tina Fey, someone who I'd expect would buck the system and be as irreverent as she wants to be, fell into the typical Hollywood neatly packaged romantic comedy happy ending trap. Very disappointing.

I would never go to see a movie called "Baby Mama."

A family friend was paid a lot of money to have part of "Baby Mama" filmed at her house in Woodside.

You probably wouldn't watch a movie called "Baby Mama", Tom, because it sounds like it would be an annoying Wayans Brothers movie or something.
But this is a Tina Fey / Amy Pollard movie, and it definitely had some promise.

I saw Adventureland last night.
This is a really really good movie. This movie is, to the mid/late 80s" what Dazed And Confused was to youth of the late 70s, and what Fast Times At Ridgemont High was to youth of the 80s. It takes place in 1987.
It is not nearly the slapstick, raunchy, juvenile Superbad type movie I expected it to be.
In fact the movie was only mildly funny at times....but this movie was a real nostalgia trip to the 80s, a PHENOMENAL soundtrack, lots of pop-culture references, and quite a thoughtful and entertaining plot as well.
I would see this movie again.
EDIT - most of the audience seemed to be people in their 20s, or early 30s (like my wife) at most. It was quite an awkward moment when the kid was doing his air-drums while belting out Rush's "Limelight" and I was practically dying from laughter, while crickets came from the rest of the audience.

I saw Adventureland last night myself. I thought it felt more last 1970s than early 1980s, with the exception of a few 1980s details. It was a decent movie. I didn't think it was in the league of Fast Times or Dazed & Confused though. But a decent movie.

It actually took place in 87, Balls...but I hear ya. Being a HUGE Lou Reed fan myself, I don't recall, in 1987, finding that many kids congregated in one place who were into Lou Reed and pondering the intellectual endeavors while smoking weed that these kids did. Most kids in 1987 were more like "Lisa P" and "Friggo" than they were like the main protagonists in the movie.
But I do think this was a VERY good movie.

I know it took place in 1987. I guess the people in Pittsburgh were about 8 years out of style.

From the previews I couldn't tell it was supposed to take place in non-current time. Ill probably see it on dvd, Kristen Stewart just annoys me so much.
For some reason, I really want to see Observe and Report. maybe because that Kevin James movie was so damn lame...

Kristen Stewart is fucking hot, I will see this movie just for her, but it is nicer going in to know someone like Chris likes the movie. But any amount of annoying traits of Kristen Stewart can easily be overshadowed by her fuckable-ness. But in all seriousness, I don't think she's a bad actress. One of the first movies I saw her in, Speak, was very good, and she was excellent in it.

I'll have to go see it now. I saw observe and report last night and it was so incredibly bizarre. It was like a really tries-too-hard attempt at a black comedy. and it totally killed my buzz. fuck you movie!

Hold up, if pics of Kristen Stewart are going on top of this section, I have a suggestion. There is a scene from Into the Wild(she has a cameo), and she sits in a trailer, on a bed, in a white tank top and undies, with the, "I'm ready to fuck for hours", look on her face.

Prior to reading this thread and hearing her name mentioned, I had no idea that the chick in this movie is named Kristen Stewart, and I still have no clue as to who this actress is and/or what she's known for.

I've seen her in a lot of stuff, since I'm a fan. Speak is good. She was 13 at the time, and she plays a 13 year old who gets raped and shuts off emotionally. Very little lines, has to act with mostly body language since there isn't much of a speaking part, and it's very, very good. That I would tell anyone to check out if you want to see her acting chops. Steve Zahn has a supporting role, not too comedic but still very good.
But, more recently, you'd know her as the chick in the Twilight movie, which I will admit, I didn't hate. The romance parts were painful, yes. But not due to the acting. And everything else aside from it wasn't bad. It's no Godfather Pick of Destiny(joke), but it isn't bad by any means.
Fuck all the haters, I like her. Tough titties.
