50 and other rappers hands down. most of them are from Jersey, all they listen to is gangsta rap. Yeah, OK, and everyone on Long Island listens to nothing but salsa music... right Brentwood boy?

That Mushnick argument is bunk.
By that argument anyone who watches and enjoys a horror flick shouldn't speak out against murder. The Rutgers students have a right to be mad at Imus because THEY were called ho's.
Way for you guys to make fun of the media and fall into a media trap at the same time.

Just wondering how much of Imus the Imus-haters have listened to, or if they are Stern sheep.

Honestly, if I could organize a boycott of MSNBC, WFAN, Amex and Sprint, I would. quote] I'm with ya on MSNBC, WFAN and Sprint, but I don't know if I could give up my Amex.

I hate Imus. I think he is unfunny and unoriginal. That said, the fact he got fired for this should scare anyone who values feee speech.
BTW, Tom good to see you back. Hope the arm is healing well

And you're crazy if you think white people will act aloof when black people are making sure the first amendment only applies to them.
Plus, how was an equal rights movement the same as a race war? The civil rights movement was black people getting their place in society, which they deserved. Now we're in times where black people have so much say their input changhes white thought etc. I'm all for freedom of speech but not when once race has it and the other doesn't. Now or then, don't matter. Imus will be a stepping stone and forgotten about, but no way this issue just goes away cause someone says so. 50 + years my ass, the civil rights movement was and is different from the race war. Then black people were fighting for their rightful place in ever day life, now they want to take away a right white people established. They are allowed to bash whatever race, culture and creed,(worse band ever) they want., white people however are the onluy ones that can be racist? You think it's done and over with? The double standard is malarky.

If black people had so much say, why is there a large percentage of them in jail, single mothers, and/or on welfare?
LOL!! Don't be daft.

Imus' show has changed over the years. No, make that the decades. His show has become more personality and news oriented, not bits about Moby Worm and all that other stuff he used to hang his hat on.
Its almost a show for intellects, or those who fashion themselves as such. Me, I am too busy streaming Coop and Tobin in the morning, I dont need his brand of bonhomie.

I would say it is more of a show for those who fashion themselves as intellectuals, as opposed to those who are actually intellectual...LOL
