Don't forget Johnny "Nitro" Morrison!
Jay Lethal's Macho Man parody is spot-on. He has every little mannerism and big move down. But, having seen it for a while now, its starting to wear thin to me, and a heap of others.

It is one of the best impersonations ever, right down to the hair. It's like Macho Man a little smaller and with a really dark tan. He's not on the air enough for it to wear thin on me.
Too bad they can't have Savage confront him on the air. That would have the potential to be entertaining.

You've only been watching TNA the last few weeks. This gag has been going on for a year. Trust me, its worn thin, and thankfully there is talk about cutting the cord on it within the next couple of months.
There is NO interest from TNA of bringing Savage in for even a cameo, thank God.

I've actually been watching TNA for longer than that. Time really flies. I think I started watching TNA around early March.
It was going on back then, but it seemed to be at a point where Lethal was being encouraged to embrace the gimmick, but hadn't gone for it full time.
I haven't watched TNA yet this week, but he just doesn't seem to get the consistent airtime to really kill the gimmick for me. I'll admit the novelty has worn off, but it's still fun.

Bye bye Eugene! Its been a long time coming. I dont like to see people lose their jobs, but I was really tired of this guy. He had run afoul of the drug testing in the past, and there was a well documented incident of him passing out and being practically comatose in the lobby of a hotel last year, so this may be drug-related. Or maybe not. Anyway, he's a goner. What IS funny about this is that on the WWE.COM homepage, it announced his resignation with this goofy picture right to the side.

Bye bye....CRYME TYME!
According to Meltzer, they were fired after the house show they appeared on just last night, after some sort of backstage disagreement with Cade and Murdoch.

Cryme Time was a pretty good team, I liked them, and Eugene had a lot of in ring talent but his gimmick ruined it.

Well, it ruined his performance in the ring, which was just a spoof of itself, but it got the character over a heap of a lot more than it would have if it was just Nick Dinsmore in there. The Eugene gimmick, as much as I grew to detest it, got some pops, made some money, got some attention. And he would still be around if he was able to provide proof of valid prescription for the last batch of drugs he purchased, and had not run afoul of the 3-strike rule.

I can't believe he lasted as long as he did.

Yeah, they did indeed use that catchphrase.
Going feeling is exactly your sentiment, that people were stunned he was around so long. I had mentioned on here that Vince ended up a big fan of his, oddly enough. Also, he had inexplicably quit drinking, got himself into pretty good shape (especially if you remember how he used to present himself) and was always on time, and did whatever was asked for him.
Not sure if any of this changed, but there has to be more to this.

Yeah he was used heavily in the feud with Santino and was in the ring till the final three with Vinces kid angle, weird. I want to point out how even during the closing segment he was still selling the injury, I'm willing to be not too many people picked up on that, but I personally like the commitment there. But it's not a shock considering the lengths he went to sell himself being blind in the original ECW.

Well, from some accounts he may have been selling the injury cause he may have been, well, injured. He was also limping in the back after the show.
No details yet, but going feeling is that this was a decision not made until the last day or so, probably after Raw was written. If this had been in the cards, he would not have been in the last 3 in the ring.
Oh, and as to "selling injuries" - todays wrestlers dont know how to do it....after Ted Dibiase was piledriven onto the concrete by the Freebirds, he took a room in a local hospital FOR A WEEK, getting cards and letters and seeing visitors there....and he was not hurt at all.
It was all about selling the injury.

Interesting if he became a good soldier, that he was let go.
You really Knoblauched him with your "Vince is a big fan" comment.

I hate that Tom. I mean, I know Vince and management try to act as if every wrestling fan has instant memory loss, but I don't think wrestlers sell like they should/use to. Storyline wise, whatever, that type of shit is expected, there's no continunity. But the selling of injuries is a lost are form in wrestling, not too many guys care enough to think an "injury" sustained in the first match of the night won't heal by the last. They sell and write injuries to guys like MSB, it's sickening.
That said, I will have a few heineys for Sandman even though he isn't dead. See ya in TNA dick.

Sandman being released is fuckin malarky. the guy can work and has a connection to the crowd. i think he could have have a nice IC title run. oh well, hope he shows up in jeresy all pro or something.yet another wasted talent by the E. in other news all ECW related merch is on clearance at wwe.com. whats that say about this new ECW program?

Sancho, hold off, though....something went down in a matter of hours that caused him to go from being in the show-ending angle, to being handed his walking papers. There are rumors of some sort of disciplinary thing going down.
If they released him cause they had "nothing for him to do" - well, thats one thing. But from what I am hearing whispered about - with no details to speak of, though, he did something very recently that caused him to be fired.
You could even tell his parting was not a nice one, by the small blurb it got on the WWE site - buried near the bottom. Even Eugene and Cryme Tyme had their departures announced in a more obvious - and seemingly, respectful, fashion - and Eugene was fired over drugs, and Cryme Tyme cause of misbehavior. So Sandman may have pulled a doozy.
Dont read anything into the ECW sale...ratings are higher now than they were a year ago, Sci-Fi is overjoyed (one of the networks prize ratings draw, if not its highest rated show) and there is no thought to curtailing the brand.

Sigh. Well, there goes Marcus "Monte Brown" Cor Von.
As first reported by WWE Mobile Alerts, WWE has come to terms on the release of ECW Superstar Marcus Cor Von as of September 19. We wish him the best in all his future endeavors.
Some are saying he had issues and implied drugs, but I have read in more than one place his sister is fighting a savage battle with cancer, and he has been taking care of her kids. If this was the case, though, why not let him float on leave instead of releasing him? Who knows.
He coulda been a contender!

Kristal Marshall was let go today. No other info available at this time, but she had been involved in the Vicki/Teddy storyline, so something went awry with her.
